I’ll start by saying that the game is mostly fine. It’s largely competent and completeable. I finished it in just over two hours. The story is largely nonsense, with character motivations changing constantly, insipid attempts at creating vague lore, and twists with no real impact at all. The jump scares come exactly where you expect them. The controls are generally fine, but fall apart any time you are expected to do tight platforming or interact with moving/moveable objects. The biggest flaw is that the entire middle act is just playing every level again with very, VERY slight changes. The final act introduces a couple new levels and mechanics, but ultimately ends with going back to another retread of a level. Finally, the game ends with a very silly Undertale-inspired boss battle (albeit with way worse controls and design). You can, in cases like this, really see every inspiration the game has, because it wears them proudly and (often) poorly. The art is nice, at least. All in all, it was fine, and feels like exactly the kind of game children will enjoy when they haven’t played any of its much better inspirations. Would recommend playing for free if you’re going to try it, but I imagine the game would be miserable to complete without doing the no-ads IAP. I saw a single ad, and paid the couple dollars to not have to endure that again.
I started this game not knowing what to expect and also at 2am… I’m not used to horror but I thought the first jump scare is a little too intense for there not to be any kind of caution. Especially for any players with sensitivity issues or anything like that. Or if you’re like me and get scared easily. I started the game and it was so nice until it scared the daylights out of me and now I’m not sure I want to continue.
This game is very fun. I was waiting for it on DEREVengeance Store what I didn’t expect is the fact that there are many ads when I die. And the horror experience is difficult to even get too. Therefore I have given this a three. I played for 30 minutes and only got to one horror/jump scare if there were no ads this game would be a 5 star.
The game is pretty well made. I love the story, music, and art. However, the gameplay kind of ruins it all. It’s not creative, like other games with this similar concept. You’ll just be spending forever trying to jump around the same thing over and over and over again.
It is a decent game, and I’d like to see more like it. But it could have had more thought put into it. For example, you have an ad every three times you die. This wouldn’t be a problem if you didn’t die so often, and it could be fixed by having more of a time-based approach (ie; 1 minute passes and the next time you die you have an ad). Also, this seems to rip some cliches from the internet, and there was underutilized room for creativity. Nonetheless, it’s a step in the right direction for quality video games.
WHY is it so buggy I know it’s supposed to be a glitched haunted game but this is ridiculous. You’ve made it so buggy and too hard that I watch my character get slowed down to get hit with the spikes and other traps. Doesn’t make it a bad game, but fix the major bugs with movement and the game literally slowing down fps so I’ll get killed? I like a challenge but this is ridiculous
Everything but controls are good, insanely difficult but it is possible, very satisfying when you finally stop dying repeatedly to that one level. Quite difficult and fun but the controls are just placed in such annoying positions.
Playing this at 2 in the morning. I was jump scared and it actually got to me. Waiting for other reviews to come out. Really really hard game. Keep on getting distracted from being scared of the next spook. Stuck on the 3rd level.
i want to complete the game but theres a bug on the second run of the System, AFTER A.I.D.E kachows A.I.D.E.N and gives that little speech, the game leaves you to do parkour. But the thing is I can’t jump, at first, i thought maybe I missed the button but then it became clear i legit couldn’t jump. hope you guys fix this and keep up the good work
Alright, there will be spoilers in this review, so heads up. The game was very nice, love the details, love the gameplay. I feel like this was less of a horror and more of just a tough platformer, the horror aspect was clear but not enforced too much. Not a bad thing at all, I love the first major jumpscare, first one that got me in a while. I feel like the storyline had a lot of major plot holes though, unless I missed a few things. Kara ‘escaped’ then sort of disappeared. For the rest of the game. Never got deleted, there’s still supposedly the most dangerous of the three of them just sorta roaming around. And we never got much of an explanation to who any of these three are, they’re awfully basic and don’t have much character. I don’t think there would be a second part to this game after deleting them, but I would love to see it. I really enjoyed how hard this game was, and all the different level design using barrels and such. I also enjoyed how it basically forced you to play with volume, with the ai telling you what to do. Just like it would help a lot to read the dialogue, so when there is a clone of you that kills you, you know to pause the game to pause the clone. Overall great game, just a bit of an empty story.
All in all I loved the game. The jump scares got me, the platform aspect was annoying as it should be, and I really did enjoy the characters. The boss battles were also entertaining. The difficulty of this game was perfect in my opinion and it held up to be an amusing game from the beginning to completion. I do wish however we got more on the story or characters. I loved the two ending characters so much but wish we knew more about them. I want to know more about what happened to Kara (I think that was her name) after she escaped. She just kinda left the game's existence. While I did love the story I do wish it was a bit more difficult to see through. After the introduction of Yana and Myles (again I hope I remembered the names right) it became clear that AIDE was gonna be the big bad. I also wish the endings had more meaning. Both endings ended similar with the only difference being AIDE escapes or the Dev leaves. I replayed the final level to see both and I get a bit disappointed when the endings weren't their own things. I still do love this game and reccomend it to everyone looking for a quick jump and a nice game.
So the games story and overall concept is amazing my only problem is sometimes the game has a random algorithm which can prevent progress, I’m currently stuck because of that same issue platforms are coming out a random intervals most of the time preventing me from jumping to the next paltform if this gets fixed I’ll play again but currently I can’t progress any farther.
I know the ads was annoying because i died way too many times but paying to remove these ads was so worth it because it supports this amazing developer which did an amazing job with this game. Everything was perfect the visuals, the story, and yes the jump scares made me jump everytime!
I started to play this game then quickly chose to pay to remove ads when I saw the quality. Beautiful game from beginning to end and a cool story as well. Not many iOS games do I play to completion, but this one I did. Hats off to the developers for one great game! Definitely not easy, but worth persevering.
this game outclasses every mobile game I have ever played, controls are so smooth and game is so well developed, not to say anything about storyline. just wow. I wish I could play this game again, like I haven’t experienced it before. amazing developers.
I don't wanna spoil things but there's mystery about this game and it's also different from other platformers which caught my eye, music is nice as well as the ui, it's simple and cute. The ads aren't bothersome until you lose a few times unlike other free games where they spam long unskippable ads every loss/win. Keep up the great work! (:
I haven’t even besten the game yet, nor am I close. However, this game is PERFECT. It’s challenging (to me, i also have a skill issue), it’s fun, scary— like really scary— and it’s so well built! I’m not going to give anything about the story, but where I’m from right now, it’s so cool! I would highly recommend this game to anyone (who can take a few jump scares), and is willing to dive into a really great game!
p.s.
this game is so underrated man
Let me first start of by saying this game nail what it’s trying to do but I’m not saying why or what because it’s a whole better experience if you go in blindly and I went in here curious and ready for the horrible or phenomenal experience and I was pleasantly supposed, over I would recommend it heavily, it’s just that one game you can play through for hour or when you have spare time.
There was so many things to comprehend about this game and there’s so many twists that come and go 10/10 would recommend !!! Btw guys good luck the lvls are a great but some are hardddd to pass only thing I got to say it’s that the devs of this game but in hard work good job guys !!!!!
the game takes a perfect amount of time to finish and I love the style of the game. I think that the game is well deigned with the boss fights and enemies and the story plot is awsome although it is a little hard at times
I REALLY love this game. It is actually scary and in the end I almost cried. Its kind of like a mix of plat former, horror, and sadness. The levels are easy and hard at the same time- some of the levels are hard until you figure out how to do them. Even though there are adds, they went away at the end of the game. I finished the game and I wanted to play it again SO bad but I already knew what happens so it wouldnt really be as fun. So overall, great game and I really enjoyed playing it.
This is one of the few cellphone games that actually have substance to it and it is greatly appreciated. Loved the gameplay and the story. I found it really funny how that first level ensured you had the volume on. So clever.
One thing I also want to say is that there are ads, but it’s done in a fair and reasonable way. If you lose 5 times you have to sit through a 20 sec ad. I think that is a very reasonable approach honestly. Some of the platforming is really tough, but that’s what platformers are.
This is by far one of the absolute best mobile horror games I’ve ever played. The suspense and suspicion, the soundtrack and game design, the challenge, and the story we’re all unique and executed perfectly. This game actually makes me want to get all the endings.
This game is great, the platforming is challenging in later areas but it just makes it all the more rewarding when you get to the next checkpoint. Story is great! Love dealing with the different characters and all their designs are amazing, the sound design is top notch and I hope developer makes more games like this because this is the type of mobile game that most devs WISH they could make. Overall very fun and to the three people who are probably reading this review, you should give it a try.
This game was very hard and very annoying but still this game was so much fun I played this days and days and days and this time I can say this game was the best this is in horror platformer game that is just best if there was more John scared it would be more better but still really solid game five star.
Well to be honest, I don’t really review games I play, but this game is just so good. The “plot twist” was nice and, yes, it was quite frustrating but that is probably because I’m not that good with platformer. Though, I love them a bunch. Besides that, it was just simply beautiful. The ending was beautiful and I got literal goosebumps from seeing the two flowers. I like this game a lot. I recommend you to try it. It is quite a long game, but not too long to be frustrating. It’s a good amount.
