Presto - EV Charging Stations Reviews

I got Presto when I rented a car from Hertz. It is really the best app for the best price on car charging. Presto has always worked except today I couldn’t get it to start. I texted customer service inside Presto and someone got to me in 1 minute and then when texting wasn’t getting it done Ashwin actually called me and worked with me to get the charging started and made it complimentary since I was not able to get it started. It’s when things go wrong that you really find out the measure of a company and I will say this app did excellent. Thank you for giving me great customer service.

Recent change to their plans makes charging same price as gas or worse. $45 for ~300 miles is horrible. 30 mpg at $4 a gallon, you can get 300 miles for $40 with a gas car. A hybrid absolutely destroys this, getting 500 to 600 miles for only$40, and you don’t have to wait in your car for an hour to charge or wait after 9 pm to fill up. Paid plans are also off-peak times only. You are better off purchasing an EVGo plan instead. They once had an unlimited plan for $99 a week that was good for rideshare drivers, but alas no more. this app is more expensive than gas now, and you can only use off-peak hours. Avoid. Only really good thing about this app is that you can use multiple providers, such as EVGo and chargepoint. It was nice while it lasted. Now I use EVCS, which has unlimited monthly plans for as low as $99 a month. Can’t beat that, but it is California only.

I got Presto on a trip renting an EV for the first time. I had never driven an EV, was away from home, and apprehensive about it. When my battery got low, wondering what, exactly, to do I saw the link to Presto from Hertz. I downloaded it and, this app!, I had help and was up and running!

It has an easy-to-use interface and showed me where nearby charging stations were, and how many available, with a link to directions.

My favorite part was I could look up my car model and get the correct adaptor. Then it walked me through the process and I could monitor it remotely.

Non Tesla charging is… not good. So my expectations were low. I checked the EVgo app, which showed 3 chargers were in working order and started heading to the chargers. this app said only was was working… figured EVgo would know better than this app. So I show up, chargers looked good, in plug in to the CCS port. “Equipment not working.” But only after I plug in. So I move to #2. Same message. I look up the charger name that is in order on this app, move the car, plug in, this app! So... somehow this app seems to have figured out how the chargers work better than the companies. No idea how but I am HERE FOR THIS.

I end up renting every now and then because I live in SF and don’t own a car. Mission Bay in particular has a high density of EVs to rent and I used to actively avoid renting EVs if they were not Teslas because it was either hard to figure out charging locations or payment systems. This last weekend we drove up to Sonoma and gave this app a try! I loved not only how easy it was to find locations along our drive but also I tried their subscription and saved $$$. Will definitely rent more EVs going forward! :)

I downloaded Presto because i rented from Avis Presto was recommended because of its insightful ev charging station navigation. Presto also helps you find alternative pricing for charging. John from customer support was very helpful when I hit a snag and couldn’t charge my vehicle , to know they have great people behind their customer support makes me give this company 5 stars ! Keep up the good work and thanks again .

I was directed to this app after renting an EV recently. Despite being nervous about charging the car during my rental, this app made it seamless and easy to find available chargers and keep me moving throughout my trip. It is a very easy app to use, and I would highly recommend to for anyone who has or is renting an EV. Their customer support team is awesome as well. I strongly recommend this app and look forward to using it again soon!

Hi I’m a first time user of Presto. I was almost to tears as I was having to navigate the instructions of how to charge my car and the heat. Almost gave up , but contacted John at customer support and he help me lots so i didn’t give up trying! He was nice, helpful and knowledgeable on how to navigate a beginner like me! First let me start by saying if you don’t have Presto you are missing out. Presto has saved me so much money and it’s simple and easy. Customer service is outstanding . They go above and beyond to make sure the problem is resolved. I definitely recommend this platform to everyone who Uber’s .

Found this to be really useful as I downloaded on a friend’s recommendation. Makes charging easier across stations, pricing is super competitive and I found going to reliable chargers to be so much easier via this app. We needed this.

Hertz in NYC has some great deals on EV rentals, but I’ve always worried about where to find charging.

Used this app and was able to find fast charging to charge before I returned the car. Presto was easy to use, and handled payment too.

Saves me a lot of trouble and anxiety to have Presto handy. Works smooth as butter. So much of an upgrade compared to the apps of the EV charging companies - they should just retire their app and use this.

Launch soon for every state please :).

Support was very responsive and solved the issue quickly and now I can make it home. Not to mention before I spoke to support I was literally stranded. this app is a good resource in my book

Been using Presto for a few weeks, no issues so far. Best charger is automatically selected, don’t have to think.

got a hold of technical support because of my confusion with my prepaid card and Whatnot, this is all pretty new to me. A gentleman by the name of Jay helped me explained pretty much how everything worked. Overall very satisfied with the service what highly recommend
