In app signup is one way door

Upon downloading FLOEVCharging it defaults the country of use to Canada. I accidentally clicked continue and couldn’t go back to switch it to USA. Figuring I could switch it after the fact so I went ahead and created the account. I was in a hurry so I just put 20 dollars worth of credits on the account and it ended up charging me in Canadian dollars. No way to switch the country to USA after the fact and now the account is tied to Canadian currency. I deleted FLOEVCharging and redownloaded and chose USA this time and the login I created doesn’t work for USA. Very frustrating. To developers: use location services to default the country of origin or at the minimum allow reselecting the country of use within the initial signup flow. I had to delete FLOEVCharging of my phone to get back to the initial country selection view.

Extremely frustrating but eventually works

I’ve use FLO a few times. FLOEVCharging and interface is pretty bad. They make you make an account instead of being able to use a credit card or phone tap like ChargePoint does. ChargePoint is much superior in my opinion.

Example 1.
I went to the FLO station and couldn’t get it to start charging. I went to FLOEVCharging but it couldn’t find the station. I called and she said she could find it but it wouldn’t list it on my phone. It’s now charging but took me 20 mins to just get it started. When you’re trying to get somewhere it’s extremely frustrating to deal with this.

Glitchy and unreliable

Used to work OK. Recently stopped working as it requires deposit even if the charger was free to use. Even when it did worked, app is slow and glitchy, spinner goes on forever and maybe sometime it would work. Tesla chargers just work, plug in for 20 minutes and you can drive for hours. These FLO machine you have to fiddle with app, login, credit card, RFID, and if the network is good and the machine is not defective then you get a 5kw charge rate that often degrades to 3kw. Only serves to get you to a real charger unless you are camping next to it overnight. Charger of last resort, but don't rely or depend on it or you would likely end up stranded.

Okay app and service, lots of room to improve

App can be a little slow and glitchy. Doesn’t always refresh unless you restart. One major issue is if a charger looks available in FLOEVCharging and you drive over someone could be parked there and not charging. Flo should install cameras on their pillars so you can confirm if the spot is indeed open and you don’t drive over for naught. Otherwise very happy to have these chargers in my neighborhood, a great option if you’re parking overnight or for long periods during the day.

New app is awesome!

Perhaps a tad biased, but thank you to the great team at FLO for updating FLOEVCharging ! With access to ChargePoint, Electric Circuit, and other networks combined with the FLO Network, FLOEVCharging gives far more EV charger access than any other app out there. Oh, and did you know there are no additional roaming costs when using non-FLO chargers? Go FLO!

Yippee!!

So grateful that a EV charging station got installed in my hood. My only disappointment is the many people that park in that spot and block us EV drivers from charging!! I really wish there was better signage to discourage gas cars to take up the spots.

What garbage

Says it works with ChargePoint but we have a ChargePoint account and this never worked after 5 different attempts in Canada. You seem to need to put money on the flow account (min $10) but we never did because who knows if it will work with iPhone Apple Pay. Such garbage. ChargePoint works easily and well for us in US. This company need to make it easier to user their products. So irritated that we spent over an hour this week trying to navigate their arcane system.

Super easy to use

FLOEVCharging is fantastic, super easy to use. This network and charging station make it super simple to charge my vehicle. The lights in the top of the charger are my favorite. Nicely done FLO

Station not found

I parked at this flow station in los angeles and it was not listed on the map. When i put in the station number it is not valid. Calling customer support, automate voice told me the extension shown in FLOEVCharging doesn't exist. Try tap my credit card or phone it shows invalid card.

Terrible

I tried to remove the charger as my car was done charging. However they wouldn’t let me remove the charger and charged me an extra 20 each time I went for no reason. I called multiple time and no response or help or even any assistance. I every time i try to stop the charging it would not let me even though it is fully charged.

Stations not working

I have 2 Flo stations near my office and have yet to have a successful charge. One station has been “offline” both times I tried. The other took about 5 minutes before it started to work, then stopped charging after an hour. The next time I tried it, it wouldn’t even start charging. ChargePoint much better.

Completely revamped app, finally

While the previous version was absolute garbage, this new one (3.0) is FINALLY a proper, well made app. Congrats and thank you to the developers.

New app version much improved

App is now very responsive. Payment processing system seems to be fixed now

By

User friendly

As an EV driver, I wanted a easy to use app and a company that provides locations to other EV companies. Flo checks all the boxes!

Mr . James here

I’m happy that I’m able to have these charging units around my neighborhood they should put more

The worst EV app!

FLOEVCharging is useless if you’re in an underground parking garage. If theres no cellular signal how are you supposed to start the charging station. Flo ev chargers are by far the worst. Why can’t I just scan my phone at charging station instead of having to find it on FLOEVCharging ??? Charge point is so efficient compared to Flo garbage.

Can’t walk up and charge YOU CAN, but hard

Why do I need a physical card to drive up and charge?!? Epic fail. Update: I figured out how to make it work as guest… but it took me 30 min of fiddling.

By

Great app!

Easy and intuitive to use!

Can’t add funds

I’ve been trying to charge my car but can’t because i have negative funds. But when i try to add funds it keeps on loading and then takes me nowhere. Very frustrating. Please fix this bug.

Excellent and Easy to use!!!

I installed FLOEVCharging to use at the charging stations in Victoria's parkades. It made it really easy to activate them and monitor the charging. Nice job!!

By

Slow to update charger status

Beware: the map does not update automatically. It is common to start driving to a charger when it is still available and arrive to see it is already taken.

By

Great, but…

FLOEVCharging is great and I downloaded it and I started charging it. Everything worked great but I wanted to get a physical card that I could use to activate the charger and they cost $15. WHAT!? Every other charging company is $8 if not free. I would hope it’s metal or something.
