My mom and I decided together we would buy this card for myself, so I wouldn’t have to use cash anymore. The money at first transferred in great, and the games were fun aswell, but the biggest problem was the fact that I could not use the card at all. I had $206 dollars on that card, and couldn’t use a dime. After this, me and my mom attempted to transfer the money out; however this did not work. You literally cannot get your money out of the card, unless we contact support, AND YOU CANT USE THE CARD ON AN ATM. When we tried to put the card on venmo, it said that the information we put was invalid, even though it was clearly correct. (We had also activated the card days before this.) When my mom was trying to take out the $200 dollars, she by mistake added $200 more. Our family doesn’t have a lot of money and we cannot afford this. Now there is $400 dollars stuck in a account in which the money cant be transferred out of, or used. This app caused more problems than anything else, and I highly do not recommend.

If I could rate this company 0/5, I would. I applied for this card for my son and was denied verification. Upon contacting customer service (which specifically says to do so on the website if you have an issue with verification), I was told basically “thanks for trying but you don’t meet our standards of security.” When I asked specifically why I was denied, they don’t know and won’t ever know. When I asked when I could reapply, I was told that I can never reapply. Trust me I tried- it basically shuts down both your email and your phone number from ever being attempted to be used again.. My only assumption would be that I was denied because my maiden name is on my drivers license instead of my married name and I didn’t realize it until after the fact. Extremely, extremely frustrating for me - an upstanding salaried citizen with excellent credit score-and my 9 year old son, who is beyond disappointed and I have no way to explain this to him.

We don’t pay our kids for chores so only wanted to use this for allowances. Even though I’ve never added a chore, I’ve had them show up on the kid account twice. I’m assuming that if the kid marked the chore was completed it would automatically transfer money to their account, with all the fees, but I’ve caught it before that’s happened. I opened a ticket the first time this happened a month ago and they said they would investigate. I never heard back and it just happened again. This kind of bug is unacceptable in a financial app and not addressing it just makes it worse.
Edit: I figured out the kids were adding their own chores. So, I know what happened. But I’m left wondering why they let kids add their own chores?
