EliteSingles: Serious Dating Reviews

I wish I had read the reviews before signing up. They should really have a free tier so you can see if it’s worth it - I guess that should have been a red flag. There are several settings that should be allowed to be hard and fast - like distance. 50 miles can be over two hours where I live, I’m not doing that and it’s a waste of time to show me people that live that far away. Basically I’m just getting a lot of people that aren’t a match for me at all, and it doesn’t let you set preferences to narrow it down. Don’t waste your money.

EliteSingles is terrible. You can’t filter out incomplete profiles (had no photo). Can’t put height preferences; Only “close to my height” which is not helpful. The matches haven’t logged in for several years so unlikely they will ever respond. Very few options in pool. When you unsubscribe your profile is still visible to others so they hopelessly smile at you and send messages unknowing that you will never get the message unless you resubscribe possibly years later.

Been on this site a few months now and messaged three men but didn’t go on.
Also a lot of new people do Not show a picture?
Had a couple men ask for money I deleted them, I guess it’s hard to keep them off all the dating sites.

EliteSingles is a complete scam and Apple or the developer should be issuing me a full refund.!! Don’t waste your money. First of all the three month subscription was about $30 more than what it says on EliteSingles . I am now going to try to figure out how to get a class action against EliteSingles developer because it is just bots and stealing peoples money.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Spent thirty minutes answering questions, paid a ton of money, and got literally NOTHING. Very few profiles, terrible features, and very few profiles even have pictures.

I signed up for I thought was a month but was overcharged, they took out 131.70 for 6 no. All at o FE I just found out 24 hrs after the fact, in the interim I made (1)acquaintance and tried to give him my email contact to share some other info and the site deleted him from my views and me from his I’m sure. I was so shocked you cannot share info. They did not respond to either of my problems. I am very disappointed. I have canceled it all. Point being even if I made contact outside of the site it doesn’t mean I would not have stayed on to meet other people! This is so stupid and so yesterday!!!

Disappointing that you can post a profile with no pics. Why do you allow this? Also always getting the “oops! This wasn’t supposed to happen” and I can’t even login .

Cost is incredibly high with very few members. Most don’t have profile pictures. The least distance option is 50 miles- you should be able to select a shorter distance. Very disappointed and will not renew my subscription.

It’ll say 10/month and then if you hit okay, you pay for the whole six months, but it makes it look like you’re only about to pay the 10 bucks

Rudimentary development effort to get core functionality, with with little improvement. Filters don’t work well (distance, height,etc). I’m surprised for a full priced app they have development that is years behind other apps: Low user engagement (users don’t complete profiles or upload sufficient photos), no motivational effort on app side to help make connections (regional meet ups, giving roses/bagels/etc), app is slow and laggy in swiping images (frustrating UI), and very little scam filtering.
They DO announce when users have been banned for scamming, which I’ve never seen from other sites. For my first foray into dating apps, this was singularly the worst experience I have had. Hopefully the developer will take my feedback and make improvements. Maybe a future app version fixes these user experience problems.

It won’t allow me to delete it. I sent customer service emails and screenshot showing this is my account.

Many of the profiles that I’m seeing are basically incomplete. I can’t seem to find a way to only see other paying members. And what’s with so many profiles having one or two pictures? Or none at all? And users aren’t able to “weigh” other critically important dating criteria such as physical fitness level, so that really annoying.
Very disappointing and I won’t be renewing.

This company has serious problems. The idea is great but the execution is terrible. Most profiles are either people who were curious and never became members, past members who are no longer subscribed, or scammers trying to get you to email their gmail. I want my subscription money back. I’ve used these guys in the past and they are no longer what they once were. Have been using EliteSingles for a couple months and the only activity here are the plentiful scammers. That about sums it up.

It’s pricey to get started and they provide you a false sense of security that the scammers and duds will be filtered out. NOT TRUE! They also try to sell you on the fact you’ll get quality over quantity in your matches. WRONG AGAIN! Many of the “matches“ they provide are geographically located too far away to be practical (e.g., 1,500+ miles). You cannot search for matches. It is highly unlikely you will have much beyond a quality or hobby in common with the matches that are chosen for you. AND if you happen to have an “elite” education/career (many people on the site do not), you will surely encounter a scammer (a real person not a bot) looking to score a big fish and screw you out of THOUSANDS of dollars if you let them. Customer service is near impossible to reach… Shall I go on? Take the money you were going to spend on this site and buy a new dress or enjoy a nice dinner out. You’ll be far more likely to meet someone that way.

EliteSingles isn’t the worst. It does provide “matches” pretty regularly. HOWEVER, most of the people on EliteSingles do not seem to be active. Most are unresponsive, and a lot of straight up scam profiles. After you’ve done online dating enough, you can easily spot people who do not speak English and have either stolen someone else profile info or have googled responses and pasted that in, but it’s very robotic and poor grammar. It would be nice if profile activity was shown so guys don’t waste their time. ALL dating apps cater to women. Women should be limited to how many men can “pounce” on them when it comes to dating apps. Anyways, good luck to anyone that wants to continue throwing their money away on EliteSingles. To me, just another app that’s not worth it.

My profile was blocked 3 times for “inconsistencies” Each time offered me free extensions of memberships as restitution and assured me everything was rectified. People I was conversing with were sent emails telling them to cease contact with me until they investigated me! They never notified me that there were any issue and simply denied me access. 3 days later after questioning customer support they demanded a photograph of my Drivers license both sides. I suspect this is a ruse for identity theft. $120 for harassment and Majority FAKE PROFILES! No thanks! Hopefully I’ll get my money back. I doubt I will. I hope I saved someone $120!

Don’t bother with EliteSingles/service.

I downloaded EliteSingles and paid subscription on Friday, 03 November. Prior to paying my subscription, EliteSingles worked fine and as soon as I paid, I was unable to use EliteSingles .

I submitted a support ticket on Saturday, 04 November. However, I never heard from anyone and resubmitted another ticket on Tuesday, 07 November. Finally, I heard from someone on Friday, 10 November.

In the end I had to petition my payment service for a refund due to no response from Elite (haha) Singles and app not working, which I was able to get refunded.

Then their customer service asked me for a review and feedback on the last interaction with them, which was a support transfer request to delete my if information. That probably happened quickly due to data privacy policies and laws in HQs home country.

Kinda wish I wasn’t here, but the fact is, I need love too! Hope it’s worthwhile, so far so good!

I bought premium since they had good offer. Now I can't cancel it through app or website. It says to contact customer service but no way to reach out to them. This is scam practice companies utilize to lock people. Be Aware before signing up! It's not like EliteSingles has that many active users. Tons of bots as well.

Not just the worst dating app but the worst app. Darn near unusable. And more:
-Crashes frequently
-“whoops that should not have happened”
-weird back-end aspects of the UI randomly show up
-tons of scammers and warnings of security breaches (weekly at least)
-poor quality of postings; folks don’t have pictures, say little or nothing about themselves
-filters not functioning; marching to people 300 miles away
-expensive compared to other apps

I regret spending money on EliteSingles. What a shame. A crying shame.

I have been in EliteSingles for a few days and keep finding people with similar pictures. Additionally most of the accounts seem to be fake (bots) . Honestly I would ask for a refund but I have no idea how to do that.

What a big waste of time.

Lots of profiles look like they were written by ChatGPT. I received one message in a week. The message was poorly worded and then I later received a notification from EliteSingles that it was a potential scam.

It doesn’t work well for one. You don’t get the notifications, so even when set up to you miss messages. Then when you have something in your settings marked as very important such as age, distance, smoking or religion, I still get someone 10 years younger, atheist, a smoker or 3 hours away lol. So pay attention to the info and don’t assume. Ugh. Dating through apps is bad enough without being set up for embarrassment in other ways.

I have written to CSR a few times and want a call. I need to speak with somebody and all I get is what may have occurred or may not have occurred. But the frustrating part is that except for this morning I have been unable to see the people that have smiled or sent me a message

All of my interactions in EliteSingles have been with catfish and scammers. The acid test is whether they want to talk on the phone. Thanks to Google voice you don’t need a phone to text but you do to talk. Always ask the prospect to talk on the phone. If they refuse, report them.

The best dating app I’ve used. But can be improved. Matches are sometimes more than 500 miles away even though I specified 100 miles max and said that distance was very important.

I am writing this to echo what other people have said about EliteSingles. Unfortunately, about 90% of the profiles in my match were scammers or bots. It was pretty much the same story every time a profile contacted me: The profile pictures were clearly taken from Instagram models/influencers, the messages were in broken English, they insisted on me giving them my phone number or other personal information before meeting in person. It’s actually astonishing to me how many fake profiles I encountered on an app that you have to pay to join. I’m not sure if the developers are doing a poor job at filtering out scammers, or if all of these scammers are actually associated with the developers so that they can boost their subscriptions on EliteSingles . Either way shame on y Elite Singles developers.

Though EliteSingles may seem all well at the start. The matches very quickly dry up. “ Up to 20 matches a day” I am lucky to see that many in a month. Also there are two “Elite Singles” apps which have the same info but different layout. Very odd/ scamy. Be ware you only have three days to get your money back, I wish I had known that before throwing my money away. This apps also has many bots. They seem real for a moment then they turn out to be fake profiles. Very disappointed.

My ex (still good friends) met someone on here and I liked the idea that it would be more educated folks. Like others have said, probably half the people are scammers. They are generally pretty obvious but it gets old. I’m not sure why it seems like so many more than on other sites, maybe the scammers think they will find someone rich because of the name? Also there might be a slightly higher number of educated folks but not by much.

All dating apps have scammers, but this may be the worst dating app of all time. 99% of all of the profiles are completely fraudulent. Today, for example, I had three matches. All three of them had the same profile picture with different names and ages and locations. Ridiculous. Stay away!

2 years ago it was not great but still found and met a few nice people…… now I have gotten nothing but fake profiles, scammers, and just a waste…….

It is a shame, if they would have a way to show who is actually able to see messages, and also some sort of authenticity to check the people on EliteSingles it would be a good app……. As it is it is terrible…….do not waste your money till they fix it.

Save your money and time by avoiding EliteSingles.

Complete waste of time and effort, at least for someone in Washington state. It’s expensive and there are too few people on the platform. Those that are on EliteSingles don’t fill out profiles and you receive very few options to begin.

I paid for 30 days and in that period I received a response from one person, that was ultimately a scammer. This was not for lack of effort as I filled out my profile, provided multiple quality pictures, and wrote to dozens of profiles.

All the details that go into a full profile are fantastic as they cover many details. However, seeing photos and messaging require payment. Maybe limiting matches or how many photos you can see would be more reasonable.

I don't know what is Elite about this other than that it is expensive. The men who liked me usually had no photo or bio, and the ones who did were very uninteresting and more than 100miles away. Same when I tried to scroll through people (no photos and/or far far away). I want to call this a scam, but maybe in other areas of the country it's used more (I travel up and down the West Coast).

You will have to pay to use EliteSingles, even if you can create profile for free… and literally every time someone contacted me, it’s a scammer! There are no promised elite singles; This is really not the quality they advertise and anyway they are not give your money back.. I wish I would buy myself a new dress instead of using EliteSingles. Very disappointed - misrepresented app!

I like the site itself and people on there. I've attempted to contact customer service. I can't use the smile icon in any part of EliteSingles . I get new suggestions and can't use smile icon then for some reason all the suggestion just go away. I paid what i consider good money to try out this this site but EliteSingles is not fully functioning correctly for me. I am just considering cancelling all together.

Was actually looking forward to trying something new and don’t forget, it’s not cheap. But I made the jump and everyone that has contacted me has a fake profile or has tried to talk about how I make financial decisions or if I’d like to get into crypto. Once I say I’m not interested, I get blocked and no more responses.

I opened EliteSingles for 5 minutes and wanted to delete it immediately after realizing how weird the set up of it was from the blurred photos of the matches to not knowing where to look at prospective matches. Saw it required a premium membership and decided to delete. EliteSingles asked me to enter a password in order to delete the account. The big issue with that is EliteSingles never asked me to create a password during the creation of this account. Then asked me to verify my email, so that I could change a password that I never created. Big issue is that every time I requested an email to be sent for verification, it never sent it. So now I cannot delete EliteSingles and will more than likely have to contact support to delete it. I believe this is a ploy to get you to stay on EliteSingles longer and not to mention my email account crashed not too shortly after using EliteSingles. Whoever created EliteSingles has some serious issues to fix or does not care enough to fix them.

The worst out of the four dating apps I’ve tried lol. The set up is so confusing, and I just HATE the way they set up the match section so awkward and they make it impossible to clear. Limit on how many people you can sift through a day is ridiculous. Not only that, but I hate how all these sites promote you to buy premium or force you to rely on personality, like what kind of message is that sending? Just because image is not the main factor does not mean it’s not important, for all images to be locked behind pay wall is insanity to me.

I used three dating apps at the same time and this one has mostly (or all) fake profiles. The other two apps I used, I met some nice people. I read a review before I signed up for Elite stating the site was full of fake profiles but I just thought the person was just bitter. Oh if only one could turn back time. Save your money for another app.

I am a tech savvy person, and quite capable of creating accounts profiles and using apps. In this case EliteSingles is horrible the whole platform is terrible. I went through the application process three times. It started rejecting things I couldn’t move onto Pages. I logged out and logged back in and then was never able to get in. I reset my password a dozen times each time doing so it’s telling me that my session expired my credentials don’t match. Complete waste of time. You can’t get anyone in support and on get bot responses back. Don’t anybody use EliteSingles or further the entire platform.

I believe I've been misled by EliteSingles. Despite initially thinking it was a serious platform, I now consider it to be a scam. I regret purchasing a membership and am seeking a full refund. EliteSingles requested a significant amount of personal information upon sign-up, leading me to believe it was legitimate. However, after payment, I've encountered numerous issues. EliteSingles 's lack of responsiveness, malfunctioning filter, and inability to preview profiles have all contributed to my dissatisfaction. I suspect that the recommended profiles are not genuine. I would like to open a claim to receive a full refund.
Don't ever think get EliteSingles.

The majority of the profiles on EliteSingles seem to be nothing but fake or unresponsive and if they do, they are trying to solicit information from you. Most of the pictures on here are very unrealistic. There’s a lot of inconsistencies with most of the profiles on here especially those that are from a completely different state, I have encountered at least 90% of fake profiles on here. Very unrealistic profiles that do not exist or make sense how are these accounts being set up with a large start up fee?

EliteSingles is practically unusable because it requires you to pay for access to anything. At least other apps allow you to see pictures of people. You have to pay the full monthly fee to see anyone. Further, you and your match would both have to pay for the service in order to talk to each other. So unless your match also paid, they can’t even see what your message says.

I have not been able to log in to EliteSingles for 2 days and I'm getting NO help from customer service...only boilerplate answers which are NO help. I have done everything they have suggested and it "does not recognize my credentials" I can't even request a refund. I'm furious.
I’m adding to this review. Please don’t waste your money on EliteSingles. The owners have it on auto-pilot and they do not listen to their customers. If you look at the reviews here, it appears that they are 90% negative. I sorted the reviews by “most positive”
and there were almost none, so I can’t imagine why they have a 4.0.
Every day I get new matches, but a huge majority of them have no picture and almost NO information. What a waste of time. Why would I want to meet ANYONE that I have literally NO information about? Waste of time, extremely frustrating and again, there doesn’t appear to be any humans involved.
I’m going to ask that they not reply to this with that paragraph that they stick on every negative review. It means nothing. Let’s see what happens.

After being on other dating sites, I thought I’d try this to see if it had anything better to offer. As many others have stated, EliteSingles is full of fake profiles. Unfortunately, I paid for a subscription and after a few minutes, regretted that decision.

Most are single-photo profiles. Duplicate content in many (even the age and name was the same but with different photos). Responses within profiles seem generated and unoriginal. There isn’t any way to really weed out if you’re talking to a real person or a scammer. If I ask specifics about them or their area, I get landmarks or other incomprehensible responses.

Steer clear of this one!

Now I know why they didn’t offer a free trial week! This is the worst dating app I’ve tried. I get to see so few people, have no way to filter, no way to get rid of the ones I’m not interested in other than delete and block. I can’t set the radius smaller than 50 miles and everyone is at the outer edge of that. I’m a busy single mom. I cannot have a relationship that involves an hour+ drive one way to see my partner. I’m so mad right now. And let’s not even discuss the blatant lie that there personality test provides compatible matches. I have nothing in common with most of my matches.

I joined this site a couple weeks ago & I realize safety is important.. but, I have been locked and asked for a government issued ID (passport or drivers license) & was apprehensive at first and they convinced me it was very safe! I sent it and ‘Crickets!’ Nothing from the company and I am still locked! I can not respond to the people I have been visiting with, no it looks like I have ghosted them. And, there is NO number to contact a live person in customer service to discuss this with! Only a form to send via email.. which I have several times!

This is a total scam. They are just taking money and laughing in the background and sending out fake accounts to you. There is NOTHING in EliteSingles that shows any of these so called “matches” are even active. The ‘like’ section doesn’t work. You could tell right away the matches I was sent were fake accounts, appeared to be foreigners posing as real people in my area. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This company will never answer your questions and will not give you a refund either. Apple should remove this trash from their App Store because it’s a total scam.
