This Week StressWatch relies on your RHR (Resting Heart Rate) and HRV (Heart
Rate Variability) data retrieved from Apple Health. We'll analyze and interpret
the data to determine your current stress levels.

About StressWatch

StressWatch requires read authorization from Apple Health to provide reminders, stress moment statistics, and suggestions; otherwise, it cannot function properly.

- You can constantly monitor your HRV levels (and stress levels) from your Apple Watch by adding StressWatch to your Watch Face.

(Not everyone is a rocket scientist!) So it got us thinking: how can we design a app that delivers numbers and data in a friendly manner that will help users to reduce stress and anxiety.

- Paired with proper exercise and adequate rest, monitor and analyze your weekly and monthly stress levels over prolonged periods of time; you'll realize that you're getting better as time goes on.

StressWatch relies on your RHR (Resting Heart Rate) and HRV (Heart Rate Variability) data retrieved from Apple Health.

StressWatch reads heart rate health data from Apple Watch through Apple Health.

We created StressWatch with the sole intention to help people to reduce anxiety in this age of stress and pressure.

- When you work late into the night, StressWatch can remind you that your HRV is low and you're stressed - a gentle reminder to help you understand that it's time to get some rest.

We constantly monitor your status and remind your immediately if your stress levels get too high so you can take action right away to help reduce your stress levels.

If you feel excessive stress that cannot be adjusted, and before making any medical decisions, please seek professional medical help in a timely manner.

We'll analyze and interpret the data to determine your current stress levels.

All information and advice provided by StressWatch cannot be considered medical advice or diagnosis, and should not replace professional diagnosis and treatment.

The "Bubble" will change colors as the user's stress levels rise.

To cancel, please manually turn off the auto-renewal feature in iTunes/Apple ID settings management at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.

No Real Time Updates

I'm updating my review and adding a couple stars because I appreciate the Developer response and they shouldn't be faulted for Apple's horrible policies and refund review process.

Updated Review: Alerts don't happen in real time, which is what I specifically need StressWatch for. The max frequency you can get (which requires configuration from default settings of 2-5 hours) is every 15 minutes. I appreciate caring Developer responses, and if real time monitoring is not needed, StressWatch would be fine. More that watch faces don't work for all (though complications do work).

Old Review: The data was consistently several hours behind. Alerts don't come in real time (even though I made sure my settings allowed for immediate notifications). I purchased this in order to get alerts in the moment so I could make adjustments in real time. After trying it for almost a day hoping it would catch up, I canceled and requested a refund. The request was denied, I appealed, and it was denied again. Normally I wouldn't purchase without a free trial but the reviews and ratings were so high I took a chance. I think a lot of those ratings must be friends and family. I don't often write negative reviews, but this was an expensive mistake and since refunds are apparently not possible even when requested promptly because functionality doesn't work, I want to try to save someone else from a similar error in judgment.

Well designed

I was looking for a stress monitoring app that would update automatically throughout the day when my watch takes HRV readings. I like this one because it gives me both a daily stress rating, based on HRV and RHR, and one that updates during the day.

The premium is comparably priced to similar apps, and the free version does quite a bit but doesn’t show trends or as detailed data. There is a lot of explanation and details if you like that, or you can put a simple complication on your watch to see your most recent HRV and stress rating. I have found it to be pretty accurate for me.

Cannot Get Notifications to Work

Been using StressWatch to track my hrv for weeks and I absolutely cannot get it to notify me. I have not received a single notification from StressWatch . Not once.

I have gone through the this app faqs and troubleshooting tips turning on and off features and notifications on my phone and watch to see if I can get it to ever notify me of anything. Still no.

I realize StressWatch only takes measurements every 2-5 hours so it may not be helpful for real time “stop overdoing it” notifications but literally any notification at all would be better than none.

Now I have to remember to check the data (which isn’t always updated in StressWatch or on my phone or on StressWatch -specific watch face I’m using) on top of the 800 other things I have to remember to do in order to deal with my illness. Annoying! I’m going to use this until I find something better because I need those hrv measurements for my health.

But I’m not impressed.

I hate to leave bad reviews but this is an app to help people with their health and it isn’t working the way it says it does and it’s now causing me to stress about it and that’s exactly what I, an ill person, do not need.

Also the faqs/help section is not always super helpful like for example: the “when will this app prompt overload” article literally doesn’t say when the this app will prompt overload and considering the problems I have had it makes me suspicious that the answer is 🤷🏻)

Body Watch

Both of their app are phenomenal, stress watch and peak watch, such amazing stats for people who value their health but I do really wish they would offer and package deal so users could purchase both of the apps for one price, I think this would be the best way to get users to buy their services but just a suggestion because I love these apps and their watch complications are awesome I really enjoy these apps and think they’re vital for those who value their health

Data loading bugs?!

I like StressWatch . I like the science (I.e., for HRV, RMSSD instead of SDNN). But, there are data loading problems. I have worn an Apple Watch for >5 years. I have done everything the docs have recommended including deleting/reinstalling StressWatch . When I initiate the freshly installed app, it says something is wrong with data load (I double checked and the permissions were granted). If I start & stop StressWatch 2 or 3 times, it eventually starts working. But, the data load leaves out whole months of data (I verified that the data is there). I am going to cancel the free trial & will try it again after bugs are fixed.

Great APP

I have been using StressWatch now for a few weeks and it has been insightful and better than others I have tried. I wish though it would do readings more often. There is a way to manually have it to a reading, but I wish it would do it hourly on its own so I could better pinpoint stressors and trends throughout a day. For most people that would probably be too much, but I have some stress and anxiety issues so having that option would be really beneficial for me. It’s a great app though, highly recommend!

100% recommend

I have been looking for a stress tracking app for my watch for a long time and this is by far my favorite one. Ever since I have started to use it it is much easier to specifically identify things that stress me and when it is time to take a step back. This is also an app that I would consider paying the premium for.

good app but subscription…

i think for someone who struggles with anxiety on a daily basis having a monitor is very helpful and allows me to see how things i do during my day either cause my anxiety or help take it away. However, now i feel like every app you have to pay for. Why can’t apps be free and allow there users to use their apps to its fullest potential to get true use out of apps they choose to be on their phones? I would love to use StressWatch to its fullest potential but i don’t have that kind of money.

I wish there is a lifetime membership option

I have been trying to decide between the grow app and this one. Overall StressWatch is much more accurate for testing stress which I really appreciate, however I really wish there is a lifetime membership option cuz grow has and I would purchase that instead of the yearly subscription option fr. But StressWatch overall I have no complaints

By

nice app worth the subscription

I downloaded all the popular stress monitor apps and this is the one that wins! Clean and neat, and I also paid for the subscription because the history is super useful. Thanks for making StressWatch but wish it’s a little cheaper on us App Store haha. Thank you!

Notifications on iwatch

I have been using StressWatch about a week and it was giving me updates and notifications on my watch and was syncing fine with phone and watch. The last couple the last couple of day it has not been syncing or notifying. Did something change on the last update which was a couple of days ago. Everything was working fine until the last update.

Doesn’t work

I got StressWatch to help manage my stress levels. Not only did it randomly go off when I was the least stressed telling me to “be careful” but when I would actually be stressed out of my mind it would give me a notification saying I was great and the least stressed ever… I just deleted it because it was in fact stressing me out. I really wish it worked so I could actually monitor my stress levels throughout the day and do something about it but this just was not accurate for me at all, I hope others had more luck.

It saves me the moment I am stressed

Absolutely wild to have a computer interrupt me at the cusp of fight or flight hormones to help me stay centered. I’ve gotten the ping on my watch three times now and each time has been perfect timing for me to collect myself.

Game changer!

it really helps

I never meet an app like this before, both cute user interface and useful.

Can’t enable notifications

I really need StressWatch to work for me. I have Post Covid Syndrome and my vagus nerve was damaged. My heart rate is too high most of the time.

StressWatch keeps telling me to enable notifications. It then takes me to the settings app on my iPhone and there is no option to enable notifications.

Otherwise, StressWatch is useful to me.

Love it

I love StressWatch. It is very consistent with how I actually feel. However, I wish you could have it update easier or choose a more frequent time frame for it to update rather than every 2 hours.

By

App does everything you need to, and more

I got StressWatch to monitor my stress, but now I use it for sleep tracking as well. The only request I would have is to make a iPhone widget for sleep similar to the watch widget you have.

By

Feedback system

I would highly recommend to have a self-validation system. There are always time I feel alright but got the stress alert, making me doubt the accuracy of the system.

I loved

I used StressWatch for two days, I loved it. For sure I will get a manual plan. Help me a lot with my anxiety, and with my HDT

Fails to send or receive data

It worked great for a week or two and then it stopped working altogether. I tried to see if it was linked to not having a pro account but it is the same on pro. I contacted the developer twice and haven't heard back.
