An okay idle game, downloaded it as the premise seemed like a good pass time but it’s loaded with ads and I’ve only had it for a few hours.
For a game that offers you viewing ads to claim rewards and boost gameplay I think they should be better at pacing unprompted ads if you have been consistently watching them.
It makes no sense to me why I have to watch an ad back to back over short intervals of times when I’m purposefully watching them on my own. Was offline for an hour and some, opened it to see how the little restaurant was doing and went to claim double my offline profits by watching an ad then no more than five minutes hadn’t even gone by without another ad popping up while I was tapping to serve the dishes prepared. This had also happened when I watched ads to collect double earnings from tasks or watched ads to collect tips.
I had this game for two days, and loved it. Killed a lot of time playing it and made fast progress. When I went to open it today, it fizzles out and crashes in the loading screen. Repeatedly. I uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I restarted my phone, tried a different WiFi, tried cellular only, checked MySushiStory for updates. Nothing. My other apps work fine and I can’t fix MySushiStory not opening. Not sure what changed, but now I can’t even open the game and I’ve therefore lost the time and progress I’ve put into it.
Edit: You say I can play the game normally now, which is true, but all my progress is gone. Why would I bother playing since all my data is gone?
Unlike My Hotpot Story, it’s a cash grab with less to do and less rewarding in terms of what you get and how you feel. After playing My Hotpot Story for a week I saw an ad for this and thought it might be the same developer. It’s not. And once you download it you can really tell. Only playing it for a few minutes before I realized I didn’t like it and felt confused that they would make another similar game but with less features and depth. Then realized it was a different developer. So yeah. Got rid of it. If you want a better game that’s the original and actually engaging even when you aren’t playing then go download My Hotpot Story.
This game would actually be enjoyable and fun if they didnt force add on you and make you pay a lot of money for game play. Its a cash grab and very annoying. Id be willing to pay if its like a big one time pay to remove any add at all, but to have it on a recurring payment and only removing the forced ads is so crazy to me. Remember back in the old days when games could actually be enjoyed without companies trying to squeeze every dollar out of you??
Stop shoving tutorial down my throat and let me play the game. Stop forcing me to clean restaurant. Stop forcing me to buy furniture. Stop forcing me to buy kitchen furniture. Stop forcing me to name restaurant. Stop forcing me to take order. Stop forcing me to serve food. Stop forcing me to collect money. Stop forcing me to clean table. Stop forcing me to view quests window. Stop forcing me to endure tutorial before turning off music. Stop forcing me to add to menu. Stop forcing me to do the stupid merge game. How do I delete menu items you forced me to add? Stop with the annoying flashing hand telling me I can buy something.
Fun game; I get that if you want bonuses you can watch ads. Every now and then it makes you watch an ad just for playing the game. Not to mention the ads you have to skip and close it; sometimes the pop up from MySushiStory store and you have to close it before you fully close the ad. Might consider deleting it. Sure you could pay to remove the ads for a small price but maybe I just might forego the game altogether
Not surprising another money grab game disguised as free. Good game but you get to specific parts and it forces you to either buy gems or forced to watch an ungodly amount of ads to recharge. Then you watch one get the gems and then still can’t use it all cause the guys tired so you need more gems to charge him. The prices on stuff to buy to level up your shop are ridiculously high as well to force you once again to pay or keep watching the insane amount of ads. So no matter how you look at it you’re either being forced to pay or forced to watch ads if you actually want to level up without taking months of so called “free” play. Tired of not being able to have a good game that isn’t pay to win and forced ads just to play. Thanks developers for wasting time 👍🏻
While the ads are annoying that’s not the issue with the game. The biggest problem is that your earnings are not proportional to what you have to spend to play the game so for the first few days you can play and level up daily. Then a week in it takes 2-4 days of playing to level up. It just makes the play mundane…
This is a wonderful game. I love it. But u can’t get away from the ads. If i want to play the mini games. They are wrought with ads. If I want to buy something. Ads. I got rid of the pop up ones but there as got to be a way to get rid of half if not most of the other ads. I just want to build.
At a certain point you are forced stuck at Chapter of Flowers 2 (restaurant rank) to grind inspiration (create food that you’ve discovered or haven’t). This part I feel is bad design because unless to you buy inspirations via store aka macrotransactions, you’ll be grinding to hopefully find new dishes (create food via inspiration) for days, not hours. If you don’t put in the grind time to farm inspiration 1:1 (1min./1 inspiration) you’ll be stuck on this rank for days depending how often you boot up the game. This severely stalls the progression of your game.
Edit: one way to get dishes is merge 2 identical foods via mini-game and merging to make an ingredient (5 ingredients makes one dish). Finding inspirations can take hours to get one ingredient. You can watch (I assume) 50 ads to get 20 energy to spawn inspirations so 1000 inspirations but have to watch around 3000 seconds of ads.
It’s definitely a fun game especially if you’re looking to past time. However, like most ‘idle’ games, it rewards you big time in the beginning to reel you in and give you a sense of what you’re supposed to think the game is. But, after a few days of playing, the rewards are more sparse and it requires a lot more (in terms of money and ads) to acquire what seems like very little. Nice concept though…
I’ve been playing this game for months and recently had to delete it because I was running out of storage on my phone. When I was able to redownload it to try reconnecting to my FB account, it won’t give me my original cloud data and I know I didn’t save over my last save file. It basically just sits at the login screen asking if I want to load my cloud save but won’t actually allow me to get it back. Plz fix
It is fun and engaging. My problems is the ads and random restart glitches. There are always pop up ada every 5 minutes or so and every time I want to watch an ad to get a reward or gift, the entire game restarts and glitches out. Then I have to open MySushiStory again and reopen the restaurant.
I’ve enjoyed playing it but now all of a sudden I’m getting ads when I never got them before. Is that a new update adding ads? I’ve never seen one pop up other than me selecting the option to watch an ad for a double claim. I hope this gets fixed or I’ll jus go back to constantly play My Hotpot Story.
Please give us more things to do! I have pretty much everything maxed out. I’m just slowly grinding to finish my menu and max out my staff ratings. Everything else is done after just two months of playing… We need more!
So I actually find this game to be cute and what not. However there is one small issue. Whenever I exit out of an ad. It disables all audio in the game and I have to keep going out and back in the game in order for it to be able to hear it again.
This is the only game that has kept me interested for more than a few days/MONTHS. Thank you to the creators who made this game!
To listening to the cute conversations to upgrading the new rooms, this is now my new favorite game. They even spice things up for the holidays TT 🫶🫶🎄
Cute, fun game. Do not recommend playing when you are hungry lol. The graphics of the food are amazing. Multiple opportunities to earn money without making a purchase, but the deals are pretty tempting.
oh em gee look I never NEVER make a review unless the game is reallyyyy realllyyyy good and I must say this is one of them !! it’s so fun to play and easy!! It’s not complicated at all !!! I really like this game it’s kind of a tycoon sort of game so I def recommend if you’re into that :)) I hope to see this game keep improving the more I unlock new rooms 😄
I get many ads on TikTok for games, or apps, but then thing about this one was not only did they have the comments turned on, but they were willing to answers pretty much everyone’s comments. They were very upfront about what the game was about, and how the ad paralleled the game play. So far I’m having a lot of fun! It reminds me of this one game I played a lot as a kid but with better graphics and more story! I can’t wait to see how it grows! :))
