Depositing money in EZSchoolPay which has no pin or two factor authentication is like throwing money away to random unknown student lunches. Just plug in some other students ID 6 digit number and viola free lunch. There's no hour and minute audit timestamp, no ceiling caps or daily limits or lockout for multiple daily use or other security control. After asking my athlete kid why they've been eating three lunches a day they said they never do that. The lack of security controls is appaling in EZSchoolPay your better off giving your kid cash even if they lose it once a week than putting $50 in here to be robbed at will by some random kid who knows your kids student ID. I'll be asking the district to replace EZSchoolPay with one that has real security or refund the stolen funds.

It was working for the few years I’ve had it.
Now it won’t let me log in says “Connection issue” problem is my internet is working for the house.

Wow! Now it’s $2.95 to load money on my sons account. Ridiculous.

Honestly EZSchoolPay is not good. It is buggy. If you add something to an the cart you better darn well want it because you can’t remove it. Last update was 8 months ago.

Secondly, how do you have an app dealing with money and not have Face ID security or 2FA in 2024? Use Apple Pay or something.

Avoid the $3 service fee by paying for meals at your school’s office. Neither the school nor this app wants to refund your money without making it a chore. What a disgusting, parasitic business.

My son started kindergarten 8-7-13, $50 was deposited into his & my nephews account via debt card. Since school has started (8-7-13) there have been 2 separate glitches... These glitches say that they have a $0.00 balance in their accounts so both are unable to have what everyone else is having for lunch, are told they have no money & must have the pb&j lunch. I'm angry & it's ridiculous.

This is a great app. Easy to add money to my kids accounts. I love that part. BUT, I was forced to store my credit card information. I DO NOT like storing my cc info, anywhere. I can't delete it and there is NO customer service. So I am rating this with one star in hopes to get their attention and let them know this needs to be changed. If you don't mind your cc card info being kept, then I'd rate this 4 stars, 5 stars if they had customer service.

It's a good app, I love that I don't have to send $$ with my 6 year old and worry about her losing it anymore. Only bad thing is that if u type in the wrong password a box pops up that says "wrong password" and when u try to push "dismiss" it doesn't do anything. I have to completely close EZSchoolPay out and then go back to it to try again. Also my 5 year old just started kindergarten and when I tried to add him to my account on EZSchoolPay I couldn't figure out how to do it. After about 10 minutes of trying I figured out that I had to go to the full site to add him on. It would be nice to be able to do this on EZSchoolPay . I have an iPhone 5s.

I usually don’t give any app one star, but my children start school next week and for the life of me, EZSchoolPay will not allow me to sign up. I keep on getting an error after filling out the whole application. The message says that it’s some kind of communication problem. It’s been 3 days and I still haven’t been able to sign up. I surely hope it won’t be this way for the rest of their school year, it’s pretty frustrating. Also, by the look of everyone’s review EZSchoolPay isn’t very reliable or good. I hope they decide to do something about all of this.

You’ve got to be kidding. Then you can’t just pay a specific amount. This is more expensive than PayPal. No way!

It won’t even let me make an account! It keeps telling me there is a communication error! I’ve gone through everything to make sure I didn’t make a mistake, but I did everything right! HELP

Keeps saying communication error when I try to make an account. Super frustrating! I’ve tried going out and back into EZSchoolPay , triple checked my password and info. Nothing.

So I signed up through our school for Efunds in 2020. I’ve never been able to use anything other than my laptop the very device I signed up for efunds. I couldn’t and can’t sign in on my phone, iPad or my husband devices or laptop. It wants me to register all over again. Generally when you register multiple times for the same thing is says the email is already being used. Nope not this website. It will take your email multiple times with the same password. But then the kicker is anytime I go back to any of my other devices to login it doesn’t recognize my login info on that device so then I need to go back to the last device I signed up and logged into. This is a complete and utter joke of a website and when I saw the ezschool app that was linked to our efunds link on our school website I thought there was hope but it was the same thing all over again. I can’t believe the incompetent ppl who are designing these apps and sites they have seen enough reviews to have to fix it but they don’t. My recommendation is don’t waste your time with either EZSchoolPay or the website. It will save you a lot of time and frustration. I now just make sure I have check blanks to send to put money on lunch account way easier-buy outdated but way easier.

I haven’t been able to use EZSchoolPay in months. Won’t let me login. Says password is incorrect but password works fine when I go to the web page. Was good when I first downloaded but useless now.

I was able to use EZSchoolPay at one time with no problem. Then one day I was no longer able to use it, my guess is an update was made. I continue to receive errors that say, student error or account error depending on my selection. EZSchoolPay continues to spin as if it’s download and has not stopped.

I had an account set up for a school then we moved. I reset the school district in EZSchoolPay however it didn’t change where my money went. Now I’m waiting on a refund from the school to pay the correct district. Was told to delete my account and make a new one but EZSchoolPay says I can’t use the same email account! So apparently I can never use EZSchoolPay again unless I open a different email account for it. The 1800 number said they wouldn’t talk to me because I wasn’t the corporation who subscribes to it. So no help at all.

I used to be able to check the history to make sure he wasn’t just getting cookies for lunch- now each and EVERY time I try to open the history tab it crashes- it needs fixed or I’m removing my info altogether and just sending him with cash. If you can’t be trusted to fix this by now then I can’t trust you with my credit info!

At $3 fee every time I put money on, you could at least fix it...

In my opinion, public schools should not use a service that takes money from families (currently $3 per use to add funds to my child’s account). I like the convenience of the service but feel the service should either be free or be subsidized by the County or school district. I’m going to just add funds using cash from now on. I’m wondering how many hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars are earned by EZSchoolPay every month.

EZSchoolPay was great until it just stopped working. It won’t load the students and just gives an error message. This has been going on for at least 3 months. Sometimes I will get lucky and it will work but 90% of the time it gives an error message.

The wait time on each step is also ridiculous it takes forever to get to next step and when you are frustrated that’s when they show a $3 convenience fee

Creating an account takes you to their website so its pic he and squeeze on a phone. That's not an app. At least make the website be mobile ready so it looks seamless.

Had troubles logging into EZSchoolPay once account was created. That's not a good sign.

And why can't imam age restrictions from EZSchoolPay ?why must i call the school?

And 2.50 for each credit card transaction is expensive. When you have lots of kids in a family that adds up unless you deposit huge amounts in their accounts. That's a lot of extra cash.

So no I will not be using EZSchoolPay nor your services and will continue to send in cash at the least until restrictions can be managed.

Robbery. I don't know if he is actually better than doing it online via the Internet. I have tried to mess with the but I get very little information on that I will be charged every time I lose more money on. When the fees are more than one lunch is for a child I think it's just ridiculous. I understand there has to be some sort of cost to help EZSchoolPay or website keep running but I just do not agree with paying for lunch this week. I would rather give fees that would go toward educational type funds and just send my kids to school with money. So far, I have not gotten much information from EZSchoolPay … Needless to say I am as impressed with EZSchoolPay as I am the fees from the website itself

EZSchoolPay is okay except it keeps showing an incorrect balance. That makes it hard to keep track of how much needs to be put in there.

Love that I can make payments to kids account on the go just wish notifications were on text or app and not just email .. Life is busy and emails are not noticed right away.. This could prevent having negative balance first .

There is a $2 “convenience fee” every time I load money onto my son’s lunch account. I understand businesses charging small fees to cover the fees they pay to the credit card companies, but $2 for every transaction is ridiculous.

EZSchoolPay is very helpful. The only complaint I have is that if you mis-type your login it won't let you re-type and try again. It says login failed and has a dismiss that you can tap but nothing happens when I tap it. The only way I have been able to get rid of the wrong information is to turn my phone off then turn it back on.

App works fine. Super easy. High processing fee.
My big red flag is the sample pic. Kids with thousands of dollars in their account. ??? Is that common? And then the only kid with no picture and a negative balance is likely a person of color? Ouch.

Doesn’t always work. Right now, I had been trying and trying to pay, but the “store” is down. And some other features aren’t working either. I can only see the balance.

It was fine, until my other daughters school started participating. She is in a different school district. When I go to the store, it only loads my 1 daughter to purchase. I can't load my other daughter who is in a different school district as she goes to Catholic School.... they both appear on the account, but not when I go to purchase. On the website, I have to choose which school. That's not available on EZSchoolPay ....

I love EZSchoolPay and it works great on a happy path. But I cannot figure out how to delete an old card. There are Add and Edit buttons, but no Delete button. The error handling of a user entering bad data such as passwords or payment info should not crash EZSchoolPay . There is no Help feature either. This lack of effort to extra detail makes me wonder the effort that went into the backend for data security and protection.

I tried to go to the developer's website but get an error there also.

Love EZSchoolPay . Works great for me. Especially when I forget to fill my kids account before I leave for work. Always gives reminders of their account balance. However I would like the creators to update EZSchoolPay because it is no longer compatible with new versions of iOS.

I originally had the previous version of EZSchoolPay and it was TERRIBLE! I ended up deleting it. Well since they updated to the IOS 11 recently it seems to work much better. And flows smoothly. Glad they finally updated their software

Super convenient and sends reminders when your balance is low. There have been times I forgot the balance was low and my daughter called me during lunch break. I put money on the account and she was able to get lunch right away.

I am able to see each of my kids and what days they buy food, how much money they have and so on. For the on star that someone else gave, you are dead wrong. Amazing app!!!!

This has always been easy enough to use to refill my children's accounts but EZSchoolPay will not work once the new iOS 11 is released.

When will this be converted to a 64bit application?

Will you add any new features or security such as pin or touchID for Apple or even Apple Pay support from within EZSchoolPay itself?

It’s so easy to use and convenient! I have a 9th grader and it’s so easy to see what they got and check my balance! It’s so nice that I can use my phone to pay. The design is smooth as well. My experience with EZSchoolPay has been stellar! Thank you for making my busy day easier!

$3.00 convenience fee for each transaction. This is robbery. I made the mistake of having replenish on to only $10 as my school has lunch free for the school, but if they want extra or snacks they need to pay. So this company is charging me 30% each time I replenish. That's outrageous and I wonder how my government representatives would feel about this. I will be going to my next board meeting to voice my complaint and urge them to find a new platform that doesn't charge an outrageous "convenience" fee.
