For multiple reasons including that most languages are no longer accessible through VOA . So I just use my browser now if I need this app.

VOA is a bit crowded, too much going on. Needs to be more streamlined. The content is fine — they rely on the Associated Press for a lot of their stories, though they do have reporters stationed around the world. I like their 5 min hourly news update, which is a good complement to CBS, NPR, etc.

This is state-run news that is highly uncritical of U.S. foreign policy. Some of their reporting does mildly criticize domestic U.S. policy, and they do lots of stories on issues facing migrants. Just be aware that this app rarely gives you the full story of what’s going on, sometimes due to bias and sometimes due simply to superficial reporting.

I like that I can increase font size for articles; but, why not for the home screen? I tried leaving feedback from within VOA and got email back saying invalid email address. So that needs fixed.

Two more future will make it better. First adding TV casting future to the video player and second auto play setting for radio when you want to listen it while driving.

I have listened to this app since the 1950’s in Switzerland tuning in on lShort wave 41 meter band to listen to John Canceler and the Jazz Hour. I learned and listened to Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman. Artie Shaw and many more of the Swing era. Louis Armstrong and many of the Dixieland Bands were on the program and naturally American News.
Some years later, I immigrated to the States to experience this great country first hand. I still occasionally listen to this app. A great station showing the best of America.

I like how even after Trump is president this app still stays neutral, even sometimes criticizing him. Also I like the music 🎶

Great news from different parts of the world. There are also great radio stations. There are no advertisements to annoy the reader! 😻

Very happy with VOA. Works well. The live programs work well. Wish the 'New Horizon' program had more time. 30 minutes is too short.

It’s a sign of the times that I hesitated to use the word “fair.” Still their news reports seem to be spare accountings of the facts which is exactly what I want and what I think we need.

Unfortunately the most accurate and non biased news source is now the US state-ran Voice of America. But the news is top quality. As someone with a degree in political science, I highly recommend it! App is excellent too!

This is actual news from around the world. I finally found a place to get news that rises above the standard of National Enquirer or the Star unlike all the other major news outlets. Thank you!

Sadly, modern news reporting is heavily biased and skewed these days. Because of this, I have to trust the American state-owned Voice of America to get reliable news. Plus as a proud American, I love that it dedicates its news to also talk about interesting things about America like I once read a story about houses in America getting bigger.
