Delete Contacts Reviews

I just purchased DeleteContacts for $3.99 to remove duplicate contacts on my iPhone. I selected Remove Duplicates. It reported 4,873 contacts but did not remove any. My problem is that all the duplicates were created from Outlook Contacts by automated synchs from our corporate network which show up as “Exports from MaaS360”. Most contacts are duplicated a dozen or more times.

How can I get it to work? If not, I want to delete DeleteContacts and get a refund of my purchase price.

I did a mass delete of a little less than 2000 contacts via DeleteContacts with the “accounts” option and thought the work was done so I deleted DeleteContacts . However, less than 30 seconds later I check my contacts again and they start rolling back in one by one??? 😤
If DeleteContacts doesn’t rid me of the contacts for good what exactly is the purpose of having it? And why is it that I seemingly have to keep DeleteContacts on my phone for the contact entries to remain off of my phone? Guess I’ll just be deleting them individually so they will stay away.

I have struggled to find an app to help me reduce the 28,000+ contacts on my iPhone through years of replacing phones and lots of duplicated information. DeleteContacts worked for one run when looking for “Exact Duplicates” and seemed to hit a limit of around 705 until it got down to the last 550. I did have to quit and restart DeleteContacts each time after cleaning up duplicates, but it was still way faster then deleting by hand. I tried to move local contacts to my Exchange account but DeleteContacts hanged, I was able to copy/paste all of them, then deleted them from the Local Address Book. I had to clean up the duplicates again and got rid of contacts with no name. My phone favorites had some issues that I had to clean-up and I’m sure I’ll have a few missing contacts that I’ll have to recreate, but for $4 it was worth it to get down to 3,800 contacts (collected over 25 years in case you are wondering). I would suggest to the developer they work with someone on the guide and offering more instructions, there is certainly room for improvements to make this a great app.

Somehow I had a phone number stored over 7 thousand times. A number I do not use. I was stuck deleting one by one, it was never ending. Thanks to DeleteContacts it simply took my less than 5 mins to delete that number finally.

spent so much time trying to figure out how to delete all my contacts from an iPad that was not mine so I finally downloaded DeleteContacts about 4 minutes ago and bam. Gone. All contacts just like that. Thank you.

DeleteContacts is so amazing. I accidentally copied my contacts while learning to use a thumb drive with my iPhone 6s. Had 3 of each. Spent a lot of time trying to delete the copies one at a time but after I purchased DeleteContacts it was a breeze. Just select duplicates it compiles the list and then deletes on command. I had over 1000 contacts. This also allows you to look at your contact list and select multiple people instead of deleting one contact at a time. Makes deleting out of date contacts so easy. Great app for people who are continuously having to update their contacts for business. So glad I found this one.

This is a great app for when u need to delete a lot of contacts really easy to use no payments to pay it’s free so thanks for who ever made DeleteContacts it a life safer when u need to lost a lot of old memories of contacts

Sweeeeeet! I had 2, 3, sometimes 4 copies of all my contacts and a bunch of junk imported from social media. $4 and 10 minutes of merging and deleting and I’m back to normal!! 710 contacts down to 191. Ahhhhh.

Due to neglect and years of syncing from all sorts of places I had over 40,000 contacts most of them duplicates. I did think I could find a tool that was capable and certainly not for free! Kudos and many thanks to the developer!

Ive had this application saved in my phone for over 2yrs & it’s still easy to use. Very necessary when you are entering new seasons of your life. I love getting rid of contacts that don’t need to be there. Hope you enjoy it.

I don’t normally write reviews this is actually my first time but wow DeleteContacts makes everything simple for me especially when it comes to deleting large numbers of contacts etc...

Over 200 contacts that I no longer needed or wanted on my phone! Gone now! Easy thanks to DeleteContacts.

I had close to 650 contacts in my phone 90% of them crap (came from Orkut, Facebook, Google, my office address book). It took me hardly 10min to get rid of them the way I wanted to. Now my phone contacts look very organized and I have good 47 contacts

I accidentally imported all of my contacts from my Facebook and my gmail account into my phone. I had over 3,000 contacts that were mostly email addresses. DeleteContacts let me delete them extremely fast. All the features I wanted to use were free. Fantastic app and I’m keeping it around.

For 2 years my account was liked to my parents and I had a total of 1,238 contacts. I tried to delete them, but soon came to the realization that it will take hours and hours. Then while talking to my brother he showed me DeleteContacts and I went through all 1000+ contacts in less than 10 minuets.

DeleteContacts does all those small things with your contacts you'd expect your iPhone to be able to do, but for some reason can't or won't do. It's not just about deleting multiple contacts at once, but also about handling contacts scattered across different accounts. It gets the job done.

My contacts for years have been a mess with multiple accounts. I recently retired and when my company disconnected my outlook, I was worried all my contacts would all go away. Fortunately, icloud saved all my contacts. In a matter of about an hour, I was able to delete over 600 contacts across all my devices. Great App!

After my sales territory changed, I needed to purge my old list of contacts to update with the new. Doing this in the traditional one at a time fashion that iPads allow would have taken forever (over 13k contacts!). DeleteContacts downloaded without a problem; synched with my existing contacts AND deleted them without any issues. DeleteContacts saved me a TON of time and charged me nothing with no hidden fees. GREAT APP...THANK YOU!!!

My phone contacts got mixed with my family’s so I had like 4K, and half were duplicates. When I got DeleteContacts i dealted everything so much faster. It found the duplicates for me. Also instead of deleting it all one by one I was able to dealte all or just press the side button to delete multiple contacts at one. I HIGHY recommend DeleteContacts for anyone who has trouble with this.

I just so happened to have the subject of contacts on my mind...

I downloaded DeleteContacts, ironically backed up my contacts, and then later (unrelated) deleted all my contacts.

Guess what?! I restored my backed up contacts for $3.99! I was able to restore all my contacts, merge them, and now have a clean contact list thanks to DeleteContacts!

Luck + MultiDelete = Peace of Mind

I may just sit here and back up -> delete -> restore my contacts whenever I get bored.

I tried DeleteContacts and it worked OK for about three minutes and then I went to use it to merge duplicates with the same name. It crashed immediately. I tried it twice more and it did the same thing. I really started my phone and then DeleteContacts itself crashed upon trying to open it. I emailed support to report a problem just now and we'll see what the resolution is. I asked for my four dollar upgrade refund will see how they handle it.

I had 1000 contacts imported to my new phone. I was told by a Verizon salesman that there was no way to mass delete. He laughed and told me to pay my kid to do it one by one. Thank goodness I found DeleteContacts! It took care of the problem in minutes!

DeleteContacts is AMAZING DUDE, when I got my very first apple device in 8th grade I accidentally linked my Facebook contacts and I have like 600+ something contacts, and I couldn’t delete them all at once and with DeleteContacts? You can. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

I had the beat experience I switched my iPhone X to the xr then all had these random contacts that my mom had it on her phone use this to delete all the contacts in less than 15 mins I recommend this
