Update. Revised from 5 to 1 stars. I loved it until I put in recurring transactions. I looked everywhere and there was no way to change this.

1. You either have to show ALL recurring transactions or it won’t enter. If you put in a car payment as recurring it will show All 36 payments or none.

2. You cannot edit recurring payments without creating a duplicate payment🥸.

So if you enter a recurring car payment for 36 months. It doesn’t just add the next payment, it adds 36 months of payments. If you go back and change from $205 to $204 - you now have 2 payments for 36 months. You have to delete each one individually.

The balance reflects a negative because it shows 3 years of car payments. I did this for a years payments before I realized. Starting over again - WITH ANOTHER APP!

I never pay for apps and could have used the free version even longer. After a few days I just liked the free version so much I splurged for the .99 . The free does what you need without forcing you to get fancy with reports I don’t really need. I just want to keep track if my stuff so I don’t overdraw. Can add multiple accounts and recurring transactions. Easy to read display. Ads are not intrusive

QuickCheckbook was great until it started dropping transactions that I had entered into the check register. This has been a random occurrence since when I go to reconcile my account daily. I noticed I was off by $800 which is not something that happens. And it was the bank having more money than me, which is definitely not a normal occurrence. It turned out that 1 deposit and expense that I entered in early July somehow disappeared. However, since I did not know that that could be the problem, I was pulling my hair out, trying to find where I was off. The other thing I notice is if you change a reoccurring transaction, it applies the change retroactively. So you have to create a whole new reoccurring transaction if the amount changes for the same supplier. I may be switching to QuickBooks because I’m finding too many bugs that are just driving me nuts

QuickCheckbook is okay but lacks some key features. When you go into an account it shows “cleared balance” then “outstanding items” and then “cleared balance” again, instead of “available balance.” This drives me crazy and makes no sense! I emailed the developer about this telling them it was repetitive and missing key information (available balance!) and they didn’t think it was important to show available balance on the account page. So you have to exit to the main page in order to get this info.

When you enter a payee it doesn’t save the payee for later use, so you have to type out the same payee every single time. Very tedious and annoying.

QuickCheckbook doesn’t show a running balance. I like to pay all of my monthly bills at one time and it’s super helpful to see what remaining cushion I have in my account as I enter the transactions. Yeah, that doesn’t work with QuickCheckbook.

I’m done with QuickCheckbook. I found a free competitor of theirs and am now using that app and am very happy.

This has happen to me several times and it has thrown my checkbook out of wack. So let’s say I previously used a parent category or something for an entry. Days later I go and delete a bunch of parent or child categories because I want to clean up my list cause there’s too many. What happens is that by deleting a category the entire entry is deleted therefore throwing my check book completely off. This is very frustrating! It shouldn’t matter if I deleted a parent category the entry for either deposit or expense should remain on my checkbook. I’m just deleting the icon it shouldn’t delete my entire entry!! This is a huge problem and I hope it can be changed or I’ll have to find another online check book to use.

QuickCheckbook worked reasonably well for me for about a year, but I have since migrated to using a running spreadsheet on my computer. My biggest problem was that I kept getting notices that I had to watch videos in order to earn the ability to make additional entries, even though I paid for the pro version. The last straw came when I couldn’t even press the button to watch the darn video, so was left with no way to continue my bookkeeping. I also got no response from the developer when I sent questions about QuickCheckbook via email. I’m sorry I’m having to move because it was convenient having QuickCheckbook with me at all times.

I was just thinking what a great way QuickCheckbook is to track our budget? then i realized you need to watch adds under settings to add credits to get more free time. So i figure when those credits are gone then if I don’t subscribe, I wont have any minutes left. also theres a limit on how many budgeting charts you get that they didn't disclose. you have to watch an add for a few credits there too. I mean this is a budgeting app and paying to watch where i spend is NOT in our budget !

I’ve used QuickCheckbook as a checkbook for several years. It’s easy to use and me favorite checkbook app I’ve used in my time with a smartphone checkbook.

The last update places ads before you can access your checkbook information, though. This is frustrating as I often need to see a quick glance of my balances. It’s frustrating to have such a money-grabbing change made, especially when there’s such a negative impact to user experience. Otherwise, I would have rated 5*.

This program is perfect for making several account categories to create a where the money goes in a simple easy way. Instructions are short and to the point.
Would be nice to have a few more examples of use. The free download is awesome for my budget plans. Using all those separate categories as if they are envelopes with cash in them. Definitely easier to see amounts and transactions. Thanks for creating QuickCheckbook

So far I like QuickCheckbook with the exception of not being able to split transactions into multiple categories (groceries, personal care, etc) - unless I missed it. As it is now, I have to enter in multiple separate transactions and put in the comments that it’s part of the total charge. Other than that, the report section is quite helpful and easy to add different categories as needed.

QuickCheckbook has all the features I need including taking pictures of checks or receipts to go along with the transactions. I like that you can make your own categories, though some of the categories can be confusing like instead of “electricity bill” under utilities it says “electronics” which isn’t quite the same lol but you can always make your own category I guess. I’m glad that I can export the data to excel but I haven’t tried yet so hopefully that works ok, I’ll update my review when I find out.

I’ve tried various checkbook registers and they all were lacking. I hit the jackpot with this one. I can track multiple accounts at a glance and in-putting my info is simple and easy. I would like to see more spending categories such as medical, pharmacy, etc. My biggest drawback and reason for 4 stars was the fact I had downloaded QuickCheckbook to my iPad thinking it would be easier to enter information since its for the iPad and iPhone. What it didn’t do was sync to my iPhone after spending a long time entering all my info!! I contacted customer service and was told that no at this time those two won’t sync. Now that I have everything on my phone I don’t need my iPad for it.

We had a problem with the last update that upgrades app to work with IOS 12. We found that we were having issues with monthly totals in several accounts. Contacted customer service via email and after several correspondence emails it was determined that any transactions entered on the last day of each month were not calculated for that month. It was suggested we change those transaction to a day earlier, which we did and it now calculates properly. They indicated the fix would be implemented on the next upgrade.

This is the first time I have tried using a paperless check register. I think I am going to like it. I am very uncomfortable not being able to copy it. Right now I do a monthly register for each account. I am not sure that it isn’t much easier to do it by hand. I like knowing I have something I can make a copy of. QuickCheckbook is easy to use, does all of the math for you, allows you to keep track of categories for tax purposes. You can keep track of several accounts (checking,savings, credit union, pension plans and so on). It would be perfect if you could make monthly hard copies of the account not just a transaction.

My favorite checkbook register App. Simply checking. Tracks my spending. Shows where to budget. I can keep track of which transactions clear. Automatically subtracts transaction. I know exactly how much money I have on hand in my bank. Remembers reoccurring transactions, so I can click on it instead of typing it every month. I recommend QuickCheckbook if you want a simple solution to keeping your check book balanced. Thank you to the developers.

I got tired of the Not Sufficient Funds charges from my bank because I kept forgetting to save all my paper receipts and write everything in my checkbook register everyday. QuickCheckbook makes it SO easy! Yay!

I like the automatic clearing of transactions and therefore the automatic balance adjustments after adding a new transaction. I also like the notes feature so you can better specify what you’re spending. The WiFi export feature blows my mind!

It’s well thought through and perhaps the best looking check register app in QuickCheckbook Store.

I tried out many similar free app offerings and found this one to be the simplest to use, but with enough depth of features to make it a great choice for me for the long haul. I plan to upgrade to the paid version once I’m sure it will meet all my needs. I like having a way to keep track of various accounts (Cash, expenses, carve-out rainy day fund, etc.) without having to set up the linkage to the bank, credit card companies, etc. it’s a really well designed app!!! Thank you for making it available :-)

I tried several different bank account apps and this is the best one by far! I can track multiple accounts, organize entries by category and subcategory. I can set up recurring payments. It also allows taking photos of checks or receipts, whatever image you want to attach to an entry. There is also an area to make a note on the entry. The layout is very user friendly and makes budgeting easy. It also saves in the cloud so I can access it on my phone and iPad. I’m not sure what the full version offers but the free version is excellent!!

QuickCheckbook was great for what I needed. I was looking for an app that would replace my checking book so I could be more accountable for my money. It’s easy and fast to put transactions in, both expenses, transfers, and incomes, and I love the categories that make it so easy to sort your transactions. The pie chart that shows your total expenses and what you spend the most on is really helpful too!

QuickCheckbook helps me keep track of everything and is very user friendly. It’s userface is very simple and self explanatory. I use it to set my budget for the month; it lets you put in your bill amounts, then you can ☑️ whether that expense has cleared. It gives you the cleared balance and uncleared balances so you know how much money you’ll have between paychecks. Very useful!!

Super user friendly!! For 10 years I used an app called PocketMoney. I loved it until they updated everything and it was suddenly not user friendly AT ALL. I started out my new year with QuickCheckbook and am very pleased so far!! Everything is simple to set up and use and the type is he perfect size to see without a magnifying glass!! :) I suggest adding some new fun icons to choose from when creating categories.
