This doesn’t work.

I’m in Band at school and I need a metronome at home. I searched up TrueMetronomeLite, and I thought it would work, but it was a waste of time downloading it. You have to pay for the full version. You see the price “free” and think that’ll work great, but it tricks you! I suggest if you are in band at school learning how to play the instrument and your teacher tells you to get a metronome app, don’t get this one. In my opinion, this was a waste of time downloading it, and not a very good app.

Don’t want to pay the subscription fee in 3 days

I don’t want the free trial! Can’t find anywhere to stop it. I’ve been to my iPhone settings and it doesn’t show that I’ve paid anything yet….obviously because the 3 day trial isn’t over. So do I have to wait until they charge me $7.99 a week (which is absolutely ridiculous and a total scam/rip-off)!
Then after I’m charged the first time I can try to find out how to cancel the subscription! If you get $7.99
out of a bunch of people after you charged them once you’re making a lot of money…..scam

Free version does not work

I cannot get it to work on any speed. I get a message “Lite version restriction” and “Do you want to get the full version now?” Also, some of the ads try to trick you into setting up an account with them, while you think you are just registering to get TrueMetronomeLite to work!

Nope.

Don’t get me wrong…
I appreciate a good app that keeps time.
This one is digitally modeled after a classic metronome design however, the heart and soul of a classical metronome are absent.
This abhorrent design gives you a “DING” on the ONE (or where ever you choose to place the ONE), gives you no option to turn it OFF, and lends you no options to tame it’s tedious ‘wooden’ throwback sound.
I grew up practicing to a REAL metronome.
This sounds like a cuckoo hitting a hammer while an elf comes out to smack a nail on 1.
If you dig “DING duck duck duck”, then this is TrueMetronomeLite for you.
If you prefer something a little more musical, check out some other options.
Ooof. I never thought that my life would lead me to the point of posting a bad review for a digital metronome app.
But here we are.
Honestly… do yourself a favor… invest in a real metronome.

Great for beginning drum

As a new drummer I really need that ding on 1 as it has helped me get my groove accurately! I am 80 so maybe others can get their groove faster then this oldie— but I like how it helps me! Groovie80

Why I like the metronome

I use the metronome in my putting practice. It works great for me. Variable volume and variable times are very good for me.

Great, but…

It’s really awesome app, it’s got some really cool features but it won’t let you go above a certain speed if you don’t get the full version, and as a musician that’s very limiting. Other than that it’s a great app!

Works well

It keeps time really well for the way that I use it.
You don’t have to pay to use the basic functions. If you don’t want to see ads, just put your device in airplane mode.

Great for travel

When at home i always use my traditional wind up metronome, partially because I’m old fashioned, but mainly because the romantic in me feels that there is just something harmonious about practicing with an old 20th century metronome. That said, when touring I typically leave the old clunker at home and then turn to this metronome app for my daily practice runs. It’s a great app metronome and I really like the traditional sounds and feel that it has. Great little guy for sure. Highly recommend.

Simple and Effective

I think most things work best when kept simple. This metronome is simple and effective. It is a great practice aid!

All the basics

I use the minimum of bells and whistles on this. If that’s all you need, this will fill your needs just fine. Good for both in-person practicing or armchair studying.

Just like my childhood metronome

I love TrueMetronomeLite! Everything sets and sounds just like the metronome that sat on my piano teacher’s piano when I was 13!

Beginner

It’s like my title say’s, for a beginners point of view it’s a great app until I can then get a live physical metronome. This will continue to serve it’s purpose, plus is completely Comfortable.

The best metronome app ever!

This metronome app has the most authentic sound of a metronome that I know. It is very easy to work with and I use it all the time for my critical passage work in learning Etudes and such.

Best Sounding App

Thanks for quickly fixing the loading issue! TrueMetronomeLite sounds just like my piano instructors metronome wooden Wittner metronome. Others have fake sounds that tend to distract me. I normally use it with a small external speaker I set away from the piano so it is in the background and keep my phone next to me to change tempo. I also like that compared to a real one, I can use it with my AirPods underneath my pianos over the ear headphones when I need to practice in silent mode late at night.

Helpful Tool

Great to have this tool on my mobile phone. I use it for both personal practice as well as setting and checking tempos with ensembles.

Plain old metronome

No need for funny stuff. Just a solid reference that sounds like an old-fashioned metronome, as advertised. Worth the developer’s attention to that, so I don’t even mind advertisers paying for it.

So many speed options!

I love the numerous speed options, the ease of setting them, and the inexorable way the metronome keeps on ticking. I can’t make excuses about being unable to keep up with that insistent ticking. I just set the speed slower and go back to playing.

It’s amazing

I’m a music artist and I love this metronome. Even though it can’t go the fastest, I think it’s pretty great. Just to say, I don’t need my metronome to go THAT fast. Good job, it’s really cool. It feels like I actually have a real metronome in front of me. Realistic and awesome. I hope more people will use this to upgrade their piano skills!🌷

Keeps time for eye exercise

I need to count seconds for eye exercises following an injury. Works great. Thank you

Features

Creating an electronic metronome interface is simple, but TrueMetronome does not cut corners: it recreates the look and feel of a real mechanical metronome; every mark on the scale is labeled with a tempo mark, the deviation angle of the pendulum depends on the tempo, and the tempo is selected by dragging the weight.

Moreover, the identical samples playing at the same frequency can drive any man crazy! TrueMetronome solves this problem thoroughly: all sounds are recorded from real metronomes, a beat does not affect the gradual decay of its predecessors, and each beat's sound is a little different from the others.

Serious musicians prefer a natural sound filled with overtones, but all metronome apps play short synthetic samples (so that the first sound stops completely before the next begins).

Almost all metronome apps boast about their accuracy, but users with sensitive hearing notice inaccurate beats all the time.

Despite the failure of other apps, perfect time is possible for TrueMetronome: its unique engine creates perfect beats with ABSOLUTE ZERO error.
