Many items fail to come into focus. Pictures are extremely low res. When it fails to work, error messages are unhelpful. Tells me I have no internet connection when the problem is most likely their server. Thought it would work better on my brand new iPad but this was wishful thinking.
Update a year later: the app still stinks. And the content it delivers has been becoming increasingly meaningless, as they expect me to get news and sports info elsewhere. I may finally pull the plug on my subscription, but what to do about the Funnies?
And a few months later: The D&C company is unresponsive to any complaints concerning this app. Some of their employees donβt even know the distinction between their website and this app. A thoroughly frustrating experience. Down to one star.

This app used to run fine with IOS but since the update to 14.0.1 it crashes constantly. I called phone number provided for their help desk two weeks ago only to be told that they are working on it. Honestly if they had a 0 rating for this review at this point I would select it. We pay them monthly for this garbage but was not offered a refund or adjustment in any way. If they donβt fix it soon I will cancel my subscription and Iβm sure many other people will probably do the same thing. You would think that at a time when everyone is struggling to keep their businesses alive they would jump in with both feet to correct this problem.

The latest app revision introduced a major problem. It is now almost impossible to scroll up on the screen to see the bottom of the page in landscape mode. This new app version instead either pages back or forward a page. It's nearly uncontrollable. This happens on two iPad's Pro in our household. It's infuriating. It takes us twice as long to read paper.
Gannett is trying to convince customers that they've "gone digital". Not!! Fix the bugs!
