PRIVATE WiFi - personal VPN Reviews

I have been using the 1.1.1.1 app since it came out, but decided I'd pay for this service instead (to cover my computer mostly, but had extra devices so I used it on my phone).

Compared to 1.1.1.1 it's a bit of a trade down. PRIVATEWiFi has a hard time of telling if I am on wifi or not, and when on wifi it has a hard time of establishing a connection to a server.

Once connected it makes most websites not work. I either get warnings that too many people are using the same IP as me, and the site won't let me connect (I get lots of warnings on the home page of the websites I visit).

When it does work, it does what it's supposed to. I am assuming this company is smaller than cloudflare so I know it won't be as smooth with updates and bug fixes. Still a good deal for windows computer though.

You need to fix PRIVATEWiFi it keep disconnected without notifying me. Even after enable connect automatically. It keep disconnected. That’s really ridiculous. I will be glad if you could fix it. Because it has all the cities and states I used a lot. 😄

Can not update iOS on iPhone when using PRIVATEWiFi. I must uninstall private wifi when updating my iPhone says can not verify. Please advise.

Also on pc will on work on windows 10 until configure windows 10.

I liked PRIVATEWiFi until I found out the time you purchase expires and you have to repurchase. This should be corrected. If I buy the time it should be mine to use whenever I choose. Not when you decide it expires.

This is an all around great app. I have read some of reviews. I have also read about some of the frustrations that individuals are having. When changing servers, you will be taken to the website, once there you have to
install the new profile. Once you install the new profile, you have to go and turn your VPN back on. By doing so you will be able to see the server that you manually selected. In regards to being able to contact customer support, there are real people there that do answer the phone. Each time that I have called, they have answered. You may want to get familiar with their website, to find out how everything works. Once you open PRIVATEWiFi look at the right bottom corner,for the help tab. If a problem arises, contact customer support. Once done, support will give you a ticket number. If you scroll past the ticket number, there is a direct contact number. On another note, they probably have business hours. These people are always helpful. They did not ask me to write a review, I did it for those that may have problems, in regards to using PRIVATEWiFi. They also told me that they would add this, in the frequently asked questions section.

I've been using this system for some time, but it is too erratic. In hotels and other such situations, this service seems to be working, but without any notice, it quits working.

Billing is a recurring nightmare. I have automatic monthly payment set up, but then I get notified that a renewal is required. After doing the required renewal, my credit card gets hit twice--once for the old billing and again for the new billing. In the past, they would correct the problem. Now, they don't even respond to emails. Previously, there phone contract was possible, but now there is no phone numbers available to contract them.

Enough is enough. I'm dropping this service and simply increasing my cellular data for secure links when needed. This will cost much less and be much more reliable.

I accidentally downloaded PRIVATEWiFi and contacted the support team to cancel my subscription. They were quick to reply, easygoing, & really helped me unsubscribe. I didn't reply to their first email, so they re-contacted me and asked me if I still wanted to cancel. They could've easily not have replied until the second month and let my account be charged twice before removing my subscription, but they are good people. Definitely made my day! Awesome people! If I have needed PRIVATEWiFi , I would've definitely have kept it.

To clarify the mistaken Mr. Earl Oxenford below, there is no compatibility issue between PRIVATEWiFi and Apple. As a privacy company, we are serious about our customers' privacy and hence, do not keep detailed logs of how users use their data.

We credited Earl's acct for the 'lost' data within minutes of speaking with him and had notified him via email immediately.

I used to connect to public free wifi but not sure if my information could be tracked until I found PRIVATEWiFi on AppleStore. Private Wifi helps me to protect my private information when I connected to free wifi at library or hotel. PRIVATEWiFi has simple but effective design and easy to use. I recommend PRIVATEWiFi to protect your data when access to public wifi.

PRIVATEWiFi is a wonderful deal for those who want to use public wifi with VPN protection. I was only going to buy 1 GB of VPN use but the 10 GB was such a great deal I bought it. You can have the protection when you need it and don't have to worry about monthly fees. The customer service is excellent. After an ios update I had trouble with it. They had me up and going again in less than 1 business day!

In my opinion, this is a best safe wifi ever. It's very convenient for you to secure your personal information. You can comfortably share your pictures, data, message, video,...without scaring that it will be losen or stolen by someone. I think PRIVATEWiFi is your best choice that you can extremely trust in. I like it !

I always worry about people hack my documents, pictures, ...when I conected public wifi from Coffee shop, hotels, airports... When my friend shared PRIVATEWiFi for me, I love it and it's convenient. With PRIVATEWiFi, I can protect my informations and my documents from hacker who want to hack my informations. Thanks for share this!

As a paying customer, very happy with the reliability of the service and the interface's ease of use. Would appreciate better HD quality, though, as my Wifi signal is strong but the picture on videos is not as clear as would be ideal.

I use my phone for everything and I travel and use all kinds of wifi all over the world - I am glad there is an easy way for me to be protected. I had an issue with identity theft last year and it was a nightmare, I just want to keep my personal info safe.

Never thought of insecured connection when I used free wifi at public hotspot. PRIVATEWiFi just does perfect job to secure my connections and allow me to ged rid of those annoying ads. I would do nothing but simply give PRIVATEWiFi 5 star.

Easy to use, simple VPN. But also includes data compression and ad blocking!
