Poor customer service

I have been using Surf easy for last few years and it was okay till suddenly it stopped working . From app I contacted support multiple times with no response , after 2 days I deleted app and try to restore and it did not worked luckily it had option to email support which I did and they could not find any records , seriously shows in my subscription as valid subscription , after back and forth with customer service and providing all the proof of valid subscription including receipt , I get this email

While reviewing your receipt, the date mentioned was Jul 1, 2019 valid until Jul 1, 2020. So, in 4 days your subscription is expiring. Please check if you have a latest receipt for the recent charges, as you might have mistakenly sent the old receipt.

Wow dude today’s date is Jun 26 and this guy is asking for subscription from July 1 while still subscription is valid . What kind of operations SurfEasy is running . Apple need to take action against this kind of app developers who are not honoring the subscription commitment

Now the dudes at SurfEasy are saying they need receipt in PDF format , what a joke Apple does sends email of subscription renewal not a PDF .

Apple take action against this kind of companies who are using your platform to not honor the commitment and take contract breach as part of the there BAU

Garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage

New update, same garbage. 4 months no fix. Same old canned automatic responses to emails. Same old lack of responses for an update on status of fix. Same old garbage broken product. Watch, it’ll be the same canned garbage speech response to this “Oh golly gee! We the developers really care! Contact us at our b.s. email service address and we’ll find a fix! We really do care!” Do yourself a favor and save your money, save your time. Look elsewhere for a quality product with qualified, competent technical support. This is a garbage product and the support staff is either incompetent or just don’t care about the quality of their product. I’m so frustrated with their terrible product, terrible customer service, and terrible technical support that I’m actually finding more joy in telling people how pathetic their company and product are than using one of the million actual entertainment apps available that actually do work and are competently supported.

Stopped working a few months ago, now word after multiple support requests

Trying one more time to see if vpn will connect. Stopped a few months ago, uninstall, reboot, reinstall and all other troubleshooting I could think of since sent multiple support requests.

Just tried again and never get past loop of being asked for device password when starting connect vpn. Asks if I want to allow vpn configuration. Then fails to connect, which is where I left off before now that I have been through the process again. Waste of money at this point. Works fine on MacBook and windows. Just iOS doesn't work. Stay away.

App Dev: I tried for 6 months to get help. Moved on to another product in December and you just getting back to me in August?! Great example of the quality of your customer service and why you lost me as a customer. Potential customers, you have been warned!!! Stay away!!! Would give -5 stars if I could.

Used to be perfect but latest version does not work on my iPad nor computer

I have spoken with them 3 times and sent numerous messages but issue is not fixed. They need to fix their program EVERY time I open my iPad or restart web , or the Surfeasy program the map is blank, it does not show anything after a “Safe and Secure OP Adrees” & “You’re SecurelyConnected to:” I have wasted hours trying to fix this
The best I can do is a work around I discovered. But I have to do it every time, many times each day, when I discover the program has stopped working.
I reopen Surfeasy ( of course getting all blank s on the screen ) then go to the side panel & select a new region and SurfEasyVPN will work ....for a short while.
As to working on my iMax High Sierra, they need to fix their program. I installed it but there is no indication that it is even working or even there!

You get what you pay for

I paid per month for quite a long time, there were times where it wouldn’t connect but overall it did exactly what i needed it to, let me browse while at work.

Then i got a new phone, i installed it and tried to restore purchase, error. I reinstall and try again, error. Check subscriptions, still there. So i send an email and they add a month to my account. Next month comes along and same thing, email and they add it again. 3rd month, same thing, I’m annoyed but i just email and ask them to put a month on my account. They tell me i need to call CS for some unknown reason. I shouldn’t have to do that just for SurfEasyVPN to work so i cancel the subscription and move on.

It’s the cheapest VPN i could find but as the title says, you get what you pay for.

Using it as a secondary.

App is great—however, it could have more features to it for non-plan/free trial users. App looks more appealing than any other VPN I know out there, but here are some suggestions: 1) Advertise it • SurfEasyVPN definitely needs more attention, and ads are the way. 2) Unlimited Data • The main reason I use this as a secondary, is because it doesn’t have unlimited. I mean writing this gives me 100mb which lasts me forever but still. 3) It’s kind of slow? • Betternet, another VPN, has faster and unlimited data which is why I use it more. To summarize, SurfEasyVPN is great but there is better ones out there, SurfEasyVPN is mainly for users who will play not who would rather just use with ads and slower speed.

I don’t what complaint is I Love them!

I have full subscriptions and had issues connecting to devices when I purchase new phone and computer. They were like Ninja’s and fixed the issues within minutes. I used Support and they have SUMBIT problem upper right AND I GOT ALL TAKEN care of within minutes. I still get the usual garbage email that slides through but I’m very happy and have always gotten great customer support. Been a customer for going on 3rd year. Do lots of traveling and feel safe. So not garbage to me for $49-$50 annually! iCloud costs you $35 annually for 200g’s...

Lacklustre

I’ve been using SurfEasy’s ultimate plan on my computer for about two years now and it’s been my favourite, but the mobile version is horrendous. The VPN doesn’t stay on nor does it reconnect even with direct connection on, additionally with locking your phone, it turns off unless you have an on going connection via your music playing in background. It doesn’t block majority of trackers (social-media apps like, Instagram, Tumblr, Google Analytics, etc.), either. Moreover, I can see everything that goes through my DNS; I have to download an additional application to compensate with the majority of the third-party trackers that SurfEasy allows through. I hope these are but obstreperous bugs and that they’ll amalgamate into something that holds true with “encryption”, it remains one star until this gets fixed.

Don’t use the 7-day free trial !!!!!!

After using the free data I had SurfEasyVPN told me that I have reached my data limit. And gave me the option to have a 7-Day trial. I, like I’m sure a lot of you would, gave it a shot. After pressing the free trial nothing happened. It kept saying “You’ve reached your data limit” how can I reached the limit if I haven’t even used it ????!!!! The worst is that after the 7-day trial they would charge you $1.99 + tax. I cancelled the subscription, through SurfEasyVPN Store, before that time because it didn’t work and I wasn’t gonna waste my time with it. Then I got an email from Apple with my receipt for that App !! I launched SurfEasyVPN and even after being charged it still DOES NOT WORK !!! I send the reports to SurfEasyVPN developers and nothing.

Great App!

This 1st time I downloaded a VPN app & I chose the great one!!! I recently downloaded it on my iPhone, tablet & my PC & it was so easy to do not confusing or complicated at all!!! & it’s been smooth sailing on all 3 downloads!!! Not only are all 3 my devices now running faster cuz of SurfEasy VPN but it’s like it’s not even there! It runs completely in background causing no issues all while protecting my privacy & devices!!! Oh & I love the rewards u can earn!!! This VPN app got it all right!!! I was hesitant on whether I should install & I’m so happy I finally did!!! Thank u for great App! Keep up good work!!

Won't even install anymore

New review: I deleted and reinstalled but the VPN profile won't install when I respond to the prompt to install it. It was burning up data a mile a minute a couple months ago; now it's totally unusable. No response from customer service. I'm over it. I need to find a reliable VPN service , and clearly I can't get that unless I pay for it. These could have been the guys I paid, but SurfEasyVPN went crazy and then dead.
Recent review:A very good free service with almost no dropouts and the advantage of changing locations and appearances all over the world. However, the mbs of data are currently burning up at the rate of practically 1 a minute and before you know it your free monthly allotment of data is gone.

Should have listened to reviewers

This product was recommended to me my someone who is in the security business. Said this what he has on all of his personal stuff.
So I gave it a chance even though reviewers said run away. I had it installed on two iOS devices and a laptop running Windows 10. I would not stay running on any device I had it installed on. Pushed the button to turn it on and it would give me the endless spinning wheel and then would go right back to red indicating the service was not running and leaving me unprotected.

Now this would have been easier to accept had it been happening on either the iOS or Windows platform, but it was doing the exact same thing on both OS. Indicating to me this was a bigger issue that I was above my pay grade. The support section was useless on this subject.

I really wanted this product to work because it was so highly recommended by someone I thought knew what they were talking about and it was the product they used personally to protect themselves.

Was happy but not now-canceling

I have used this vpn for several years and it had glitches but overall I was happy. It worked on my pc, iphones and pads. It slowd the download speeds about 30-50% but I could work around that. Recently though minor glitches have become major headaches. My ios devices lose vpn every hour or so which causes apps and web sites to lockup. My windows desktop loses vpn, gives me a error msg that a hotspot needs sign in. My computer is on ethernet and doesn't have wifi enabled. I have to restart my computer to regain internet. Tried to reach support but they came back and said they were busy and would contact me. Never did. Cancelled my service today. Will try another vpn

Going elsewhere

I’ve been a user for several years. Many updates are buggy at first. I am always nervous about updating and breaking it. Which happened this time AGAIN. I Have a month left in my subscription, but I can’t take it anymore. I’m trying another VPN service. I have never tried a different VPN so maybe the outages and disconnects are to be expected... I guess I’ll find out.

I tried to call in today and kept going to voicemail. I used to be able to get tech support, but now it is harder than ever. If they would have picked up the phone I would still be a customer.

Not good

I used SurfEasyVPN for free and it worked somewhat okay. I purchased a 1 month subscription and it wont even connect to the internet. I turn Surfeasy off and the internet is working, when i turn it on it wont work. Disappointed, paying for something that doesnt work is irritating. No recommendations, hotspot is better and problem free. When you sign up you get automatically signed up for subscription which I forgot about, I added an iTunes card and they took 33$ for the yearly subscription which I have no use for. Click app support and the page just freezes and doesn’t take you anywhere. I’d like a refund please.

Wish I could give it 0 stars

I got a pop up on my phone telling me that I had 6 viruses, which i later found out was a scam. It told me to get SurfEasyVPN so I did. When I realised you had to pay for it, I went to click the home button to go to the home screen and delete SurfEasyVPN ,but as soon as i did it asked me to put my fingerprint in to purchase it. So I accidentally paid for it. Since I am new to Apple I thought that if I just deleted SurfEasyVPN the payment would go away. Now I realize that it charged me for this month and the next month.I didn’t even use the service. I want my money back. I have canceled the subscription.

Used to good...then it went downhill

The VPN app used to be good but then after an update about a year ago it started to go downhill fast...to a point that now I keep getting a ''no internet connection'' error when I open a browser (although there is connection as the other 7 devices not using SurfEasy we have all connect fine...) or a 503 service unavailable error like 60 to 70% of the times I open a browser. The funny thing is that if I keep refreshing the browser page it goes back and forth between the no internet connection error and the 503 one until at some point it connects to the site.

Charged my phone without my knowledge for months

I tried the fee version of SurfEasyVPN and deleted it before it expired thinking that would end the subscription, but little to my knowledge they had been charging me $10 a month for months and once my phone started giving me the “verify to install an app” message I knew something was up. Once I checked my purchase history and saw I was infuriated, and couldn’t even reinstall SurfEasyVPN to fix this nonsense until I paid this “$10:95” outstanding bill. I even called the apps customer support but got “no operators available at the moment”. What a scam.

Lack of support

I had used this "software" for a year but more than six of these months were just problems: the vpn didn't' work with Mac only on phones/tablets. After I sent many emails to costumer support and received automatic step answers the answers I decided to call them. The tec guy on CS told " that is a Mac problem..." So, I decided to change the software for another one. I'm really happy now with another option that works with Mac. In these days perhaps is too hard to fix bugs, for surfeasy is "easy" blame apple than fix the bugs. Don't spend your money and time with SurfEasyVPN, try another one.

One of the better VPNs I've used

I'm frequently out of the states, so I use this VPN to view my home sites that are blocked in other countries. Works really well. 4 stars because sometimes it's a bit slow and my data gets used up while downloading or bringing up certain pages.
