😓Great until > Lost dreams & Locked out

Two years later ... buggy. Cannot sign in. I keep the Apo in yoff chance those many dreams were recoverable. Or they’d fix DreamboardApp . Not yet. Sorry. It was a worthy app. Cannot get through a login without freezing screen.

ERROR 500 has replaced what seemed a worthy dream app. I regret to have recommended it's use while it was working, as I'm seeing I am not the only one to whom this has happened. Where are our dreams?? Are they gone?? Before, I loved how easy it was to note dreams. The dark screen was good for nighttime writing. The mood options were simple but an intriguing touch. Tracking appeared to promise interesting insights ... Until one night I awoke hoping to note a dream and found myself not signed in. I tried to log in, used password recovery several times, expecting to receive some way back in to access my dreams ... Have been retrying several times this week and keep getting ERROR 500. I wish there were a way to access the dreams I put into this journal, as they are part of extended study. Big disappointment.

Good, but can be better

After a week, I find myself liking DreamboardApp. At the least, it's helping me focus on remembering and recording my dreams. My major complaint is that it doesn't work seamlessly with an iPad keyboard, and using the built-in keyboard is tedious and time-consuming. The screen doesn't rotate either (unless I'm missing something), making it all the more awkward. I've had to re-write a couple of entries that I lost when moving from the narrative section to another (it might have been my unfamiliarity, but it certainly isn't as intuitive as I would have liked). I'd also like to see it better integrated with the iPad's text functions, such as automatically capitalizing the first letter of a sentence and "I", and perhaps the predictive spelling.

I can see it's a work in progress, and I'm okay with the idiosyncrasies for now as I can see the potential. I hope that it continues to improve.

Good but could improve

I really do enjoy using DreamboardApp. I used Dreamboard a little earlier and in addition to the Analyze function, there was a Dream Tree that grew with the more dreams you entered, which I really liked. Unfortunately that function seems to have been deleted.

Also I forgot the password to my original Dreamboard and tried to recover it, but I never received a confirmation email after trying for several weeks (I had checked my Spam folders and everywhere else it could've been sent to, even double-checking that my account's email address was correct).

I don't know if the developers are continuing to improve DreamboardApp or if the idea was abandoned, I hope not though, I really do like DreamboardApp and I hope it continues to expand.

Consciousness expanding app

There is nothing but good to be said about this revolutionary app. It is beyond its time. How do you gain deeper understanding of self? How do you remember your dreams the next morning so as to put into practice the lessons the subconscious are trying to teach you? You give the intention to remember your dreams and you get up in the morning and write, and now type, your dreams out. DreamboardApp is that solution.

Once you get used to the functionally linear format (one that can be distracting at times), you will feel renewed instantly knowing that you remembered your dream as well as that it is in a safe place (password protection optional). DreamboardApp is the new wave.

ERROR 500

When I first got DreamboardApp it was extremely good, A few days later I woke up and I was signed out. This happened to me before so I just thought it was normal, I tried to sign back in but when I did it said error 500. I tried again and again and it kept saying error 500. I got furious so then I deleted DreamboardApp , A few months later I got it back and again it said error 500. I was hesitant to make a new account because I already had a lot of dreams on this, but I finally cracked. When I went to make a new account it said every 500 again. Dreamboard you need to fix this problem immediately, I would have given you five stars. I will wait until I find out you have an update, when I see the update and realize the error 500 is gone I will change my review to five stars.

(Sorry if this sounds weird but I used Siri)

Great but bug ruins it :(

I loved DreamboardApp for the first few months of using it! It has a great design, so fluid to use. I love the alarm feature that reminds you to record dreams! It was so good but recently an error (errors 500) occurred and prevented me from viewing all my previously recorded dreams and didn't allow me to record new ones. I tried to log out to re-log in but all it said was error 500. I tried logging in on my iPhone and on the computer website. I tried to google the error but couldn't come up with anything. Hopefully this will be fixed soon because I truly loved DreamboardApp! Please fix asap!!! Otherwise great app

Was hoping for a bit more.

Great alternative to a dream journal. I don't always have the time to fill out a proper recollection of events, and this allows for recording in a much simpler abridged format. Was expecting/hoping for more in the way of analysis and stats, though. I would like to see in numbers things like how often a certain theme occurs. Some dream apps attempt to find connections between food/sleep habits and dream mood/themes. I think something like that would be really cool. Any kind of large-scale analysis, because as it stands it doesn't seem to be too superior to just using the default note application.

Stupid sign up

Stupid invasive sign up process. Forces you to take a photo for your avatar. Unclear as to how private your entries are or if it creates some profile online. Requires long password. Then it requires your location. If you say no to access your location the signup breaks. It even requires your birthday. Great UI although too buggy. Easy to hit back and lose your entry. Not intuitive that you have to scroll down to get the entry text box to go away and continue entering a dream. Too hard to enter dream overall. I gave up and uninstalled. Cool unique features. Could be great with usabilty improvements. The charts and tags are great.

Great tool for mental care therapist and subjects

This is a very good application, very easy to use, I suggest it to my subjects in therapy to keep track of their dreams. It is very useful for working on dreamwork, gestalt psychotherapy, and yourself. Dreaming is the language of the subconscious minds. Dreams represent metaphors, keeping track of dreams is very important in therapy to help understanding of possible underlying issues and find solutions to possible issues or concerns. I am glad that somebody thought of having an application to keep track of dreams and that i is really useful and simple to use

Awesome App

One of my favorite apps- there are no others like it. When you wake up and you're a groggy it provides the perfect amount of buttons for the job. The less I have to type in the mornings, the happier I am!

All this and NO ADS. DreamboardApp has no ads and is beautifully designed and easy to figure out without compromising its workability!!! You can create little "tags" to see which items and people show up most in your dreams.

Give DreamboardApp a try, and you won't be disappointed !!!

Many improvements could be made

** UPDATE**. DreamboardApp crashed and I lost all of the dreams I had been collecting! I am so disappointed! When I try to sign In it says network error. **

This is a potentially great app. However, there are many things that I would like to see improved. For example, when you make tags in each dream record, they should compile with other dreams and be clickable links (so if I click on "swimming", for example, I would be shown a list of all dreams where I was swimming. Or if I clicked on "Dave", I would be shown all the dreams I have had about Dave. To have the colors included in this would be great too). I would also like to be able to export these dreams somehow so that I could save them forever.

PLEASE FIX/UPDATE THIS APP!!!

It’s been crashing at startup for months now, which is a huge disappointment because I used to use it to keep track of all my dreams and nightmares (I’m pretty sure I have a sleep disorder, so tracking my nightmares was especially important to me). Now all of my records are inaccessible, and it’s so upsetting! I also keep going to DreamboardApp when I have a dream/nightmare to log, but am immediately disappointed upon opening it. I believe that the problem is it hasn’t been updated for recent iOS updates, so please please please fix DreamboardApp so I can use it again! I’ve been keeping it on my phone hoping it will be fixed one day, but I think today I’ll be searching for another dream logging app.

Works Well Enough, but...

DreamboardApp does its job. Nothing special, but then it's just meant to be a journal for capturing dream details. This could also be handy for use with patients in Jungian therapy work.

One bug I've noticed is that when you are looking at the details of dreams you've already entered, if you scroll down to the very bottom of the dream detail, DreamboardApp will lock up, and you have to shut it down and re-launch it. That's pretty annoying and should be addressed. Once that's fixed, I would raise my star rating.

I miss this

I miss DreamboardApp so much it used to be worthy and I had this for years now. For the last 5 years I used to depend on DreamboardApp to save and write all of my dreams. But now that it stopped working and it automatically gets out whenever I click on DreamboardApp . It is such a betrayal since all of my favorite dreams from last 5 years is here 😭. I can’t get myself to delete is app. I hope it gets fixed...

A Great App Just Waiting for Improvements

This is a great app, but it would be a five-star app with just a few improvements!

First of all, DreamboardApp does everything it promises, it has a great lay out and helps me remember dreams more clearly by offering prompts like colors, places, things, emotions, etc. This is the sole reason why I keep DreamboardApp vs. others.

However, I would really like the option to turn on an in app dream dictionary and moon phases. I say "turn on" because I know not everyone likes that sort of thing, so I'd suggest that the option be added but you could turn it off and on in the settings.

If DreamboardApp had those two elements, it would include every other option offered by every other dream journal-type app offered in DreamboardApp Store! No other app provides all of these key elements all together!

Wish the creators would update it

I loved DreamboardApp for recording dreams, the interface was cute and easy to use, they allowed you to tag your dreams and give them color schemes, and everything, but after there was a glitch that makes it impossible to login on your phone I had to give it up. They also have a web version but when you’re logging Dreams it’s usually quickly after you first wake up and your phone is the easiest way to do that.
I wish they would update it so I could re-download it again! All the other apps out now don’t match the quality of Dream-board before it went to crap.

Best Journal App Ever!

I love DreamboardApp, I don't like to write in notebooks cause i forget easily, so DreamboardApp was awesome, i could write my dreams there, and i could track them, see how often i had a dream, nightmares, lucid, etc. i could put who participated in that dream if i was the main character, the place in the dream, and the day and time i got it. So it's perfect, even the design is really good, relaxing, and looks like an actual professional app.

Free & Good

DreamboardApp is nice for people who like to keep track of their dreams. I love the fact that there is a log in screen because it makes me feel I am keeping my dreams private. Of course it can be a little more fancy, but I have paid for apps that didn't provide this much functionality. I think it's worth checking out. Then draw your own conclusion.

I can’t even sign up

I’ve tried probably 5 times now to sign up so I can start tracking my dreams.
Every time I give my name and a pic then move to the next page which asks for and email, a password and to confirm that password. I type in my email and then move to the space to type in my password and it freezes on the first letter every time. You know how when you click a letter it pops up a little bit? Yea well it freezes with the letter popped up. I’ve tried waiting for a couple minutes and nothing. I’ve deleted and re-downloaded DreamboardApp and the same thing happens.

PLEASE FIX IT

I loved DreamboardApp until it crashed a while ago and it seems like it was just completely abandoned by the developers. It’s been so frustrating for me because I remember the crazy dreams and super long stories (it would usually take me at least an hour after waking up) I would occasionally store in DreamboardApp exclusively. Dreamboard became so valuable to me over time as I learned more about what is important to me through the process of breaking down my unconscious. If DreamboardApp was somehow brought back to life and I got to read several years of dream entries again I would be so overjoyed!
