Don’t download this and if you did delete it from your phone. I will just cause you to miss the bus or wait for a bus that’s never coming. Over the few years I used the PAID version the lag time has gotten bigger and bigger. When I think the bus is 4 blocks away from my stop it already past me by about 3 blocks.

No Bronx local buses, one local queens bus, no Brooklyn local buses, no staten island local buses.

That’s not the problem, the problem is that not all of the routes are on here. I would love to see routes like the B6, Bx24, and S79 on the list, but they aren’t.

Some bus lines are missing from this version

This is very helpful out, particularly for the bus line I most use, the M5 in Manhattan. The bus is quick, but arrives sporadically, and it's helpful to know where the next one is. Unfortunately, the bus is shown at the stop it last passed, or perhaps stopped at. If it bypasses several stops, the position on the live bus map is quite inaccurate. I just dashed across the 112th St to catch a bus that was shown at 120th.

In sum, way better than nothing, but more accurate reporting would be a big help.

This is a great app but needs improvement. The best part is that it gives your the bus number. What needs improvement is that it's delayed which will cause you to miss your bus. What it needs is a refresh button to know where the bus is and to see it moving instead of leaving BusBusNYC and getting back on again to track the bus.

What’s really great is that the MTA is instituting realtime bus information. The fact that my humble local route the Q54 is now included is a pleasant surprise. BusBusNYC is a fine implementation of the service. There’s lot of information on bus routes, you can filter routes and the information is well organized. At least for a while people are going to open BusBusNYC just to watch the buses move in more-or-less realtime.

Well worth the 99 cents to get rid of the ads since this is an app you’ll use every day.

Don't download yet if you need any Manhattan bus lines other than 34th street - the MTA will release more lines soon but they aren't available yet as of July 2013. Just wanted to save you download time in case you need Manhattan bus line info. Otherwise, seems like a great app.

As a NYC MTA transit fan, I love BusBusNYC it shows where the bus is when it's close by but what I wish it would have is the refresh time can be reduced so the bus position can be reloaded more quickly. And also it would have the option to type bus numbers for the bus fans who know that much about the buses.

I actually like that blue line, it’s especially good later on at night or early in the morning when there are fewer buses out there on the road, you can go up and down the route quickly to see just how far that one or two buses that are out there on the route are. I am actually a NYC MTA Bus Operator with over 35 years of service and i also use BusBusNYC for the job and we use it in another way, when we have to relieve another bus operator out there on the road that driver has a certain run number on that route so when we hit on one of those buses on that route not only can we see the bus number we can also see the run number which means we know exactly were the bus and driver is that we have to relieve and we know approximately were that bus is supposed to be on the route so we can see if the bus is going to be here on time or late and if he is going to be very late and we are near the depot or by the terminal we can go and get another bus from the dispatcher which helps the service out there. The blue line helps a lot especially when we have more than one route on the map so I love BusBusNYC and the blue line, The only thing I just switch my phone from an iPhone 6 to an iPhone 11 Pro Max and for some reason I can’t get the blue line anymore can you please help me and my co bus operator and see if this can be fixed, Thank you very much

This is a perfect app for a student like me because it shows me exactly where the bus is visually unlike MTA Bus Time, which gives the information in just words, which make it difficult to visualize.

Useful in NYC and fun. Especially when you have a choice between to bus routes, or walking instead, BusBusNYC makes it easy to see the best choice. And it's like watching a bizarre bus race around Manhattan.

I depended on BusBusNYC daily. It stopped working. No buses are showing up no matter what I do. I'll give 5-Stars when it's functional again.
Edit: the issue is fixed. Back to 5 stars.

I'm a New Yorker. I love BusBusNYC. I've been using it since bus time started. It shows you up to date tracking of buses better than the MTA site.
Lately it's been crashing a lot. I've looked for an app that would be just as good or even a little bit less but they all are much worse. BusBusNYC shows you where the busses are at so you can use your own judgement on if you can catch it or not.
I will upgrade to the paid app to see if the crashing. I'll let you know..

I would have gave BusBusNYC 4 stars because it keeps crashing now but it had been so reliable in the past I have it at a 5.

This new update has seemingly sped up performance and BusBusNYC runs even smoother than before. I have an iPhone 5S & my husband has a iPhone 6, and it works great on both phones.

BusBus is really the best NYC bus app out there. I've tried them all, and this is the only one that is easy to use & completely reliable.

I use this on an iPhone 5S, so for the reviewer who is saying that it's showing only 2 buses, it really means there really are only 2 buses (most likely if you're checking BusBusNYC late at night or zoomed into an area with less bus traffic). BusBusNYC is directly linked to MTA data so there's really never been any fault with BusBusNYC itself.

As a longtime NYC resident, I highly recommend using it, especially in the wintertime!! I love being able to wait indoors somewhere and run out to the bus just in time.

It appears BusBusNYC is unique in one way. My husband is a bus driver and sometimes I want to know how close he is to his swing or short break if I need to call him. BusBusNYC not only shows you the bus number but also the run number identifying the particular bus driver (if you know their run number). I only wish that you can tag a bus to make it highlighted or a different color during their duration so that I don’t have to keep tapping on all the busses to see the particular bus information I’m trying to find.

100% Amazing app and works almost every time. They just released iPhone X support and that was the only problem I had. Therefore now, BusBusNYC is AMAZING

Good morning BusBusNYC is giving me some trouble because I can’t get to see the buses right now and I was planning on doing a bus marathon and writing them down . Can you fix this problem ? I still love BusBusNYC and enjoy it .

I downloaded BusBusNYC about 3 months ago and use it anytime I take the bus. I take a bus that is infrequent and unreliable with its schedule. I now know exactly when to leave my apartment. Very helpful in the winter/bad weather.
