Easy BART Reviews

EasyBART used to be very dependable and deserving 5 stars in my opinion. However, for the last couple months or so, it has been woefully unreliable. The real-time departure info is THE reason I got EasyBART, but that info has become unreliable. For example, during this morning’s commute from Concord to SF, EasyBART indicated my train was 5 minutes away when it was actually about 2. When I got on the train (after running after seeing it coming, I might add), EasyBART said it was still 3 minutes away.

Please fix. Or, I will certainly look for an alternative.

Displays only showed Berryessa and Dublin trains. I needed Antioch or Richmond so got on a train to Dublin thinking I’d check EasyBART and worst case transfer at Lake Merritt. App said there was a Richmond train two minutes behind what I was on—according to schedule AND “real time departures” so I got off at West Oakland and waited. No Richmond train on the display. After three minutes I check EasyBART and it shows a Richmond train in 15 minutes. Still no Richmond train on the display and no advisories about discontinued trains/service anywhere. No way to message anyone via EasyBART or ask what happened. Thanks for screwing my commute.

With Embark iBart going away (why, I don't know!) this is the next best BART-specific app I've found. It needs work to replace iBART. Basics like Nearest Station detection from the Schedules page, the ability to swap Departure and Destination, and providing multiple Departure/Arrival time options around the desired Departure/Arrival time (iBART provides 7 Departure/Arrival times leading up to the Departure/Arrival, Easy BART just gives the one closest to the desired time) [EDIT: I just noticed does offer multiple times. It's just somewhat hidden. You need to slide to see them]. Easy BART is useful, but hopefully it will improve.

I recently moved to the Bay Area and can't say enough about EasyBART. It can tell you updates times and how long it takes to get to your destination. It also tells you the price! The interactive map is also a huge help.

The ads at the bottom block the button you need to push to check departures. Please fix.

EasyBART was great at first. It was accurate and I knew I could rely on it. But over time it’s given me incorrect departure times, and I’ve arrived at the station five minutes before the train was set to get there, only to hear it depart on my way in more than a few times. I don’t know if this is BART’s fault or EasyBART , but other BART apps seem to be more accurate than this one.

Show less button in widget always cuts the zone midway. Widget is not working properly. In show less view , you can see 3 lines full and half of 4th line. This is very annoying. Please fix it.

I used EasyBART several times and it failed me several times. I would show up a couple of minutes ahead of time only to find out I missed the train 5 mins ago! Now that the pittsbay train is going to Antioch, EasyBART hasn’t put it together so it won’t show the schedule for the pittsbay train. Ended up deleting EasyBART, you should too.

Changes in destination From Pittsburgh/Bay Point to Antioch has caused EasyBART to not include the entire line in the Antioch direction to not appear. Rather frustrating as I missed the last train because of this error. Unable to return home having to find a friend’s to crash til morning which took two hours. Finally at 2am I got out of the cold wind. Ruining my sleep, cat unfed, inconvenienced a household, and have to fly home for fresh clothes to return to work.

My favorite feature is the ability to get departures from the nearest station on the pull down menu without even needing to open EasyBART .

I commute on BART and really enjoy the Easy Bart App. EasyBART is easy to use and I like being able to add / bookmark my favorite stations. Hopefully, EasyBART developer is planning to extend EasyBART to be Apple Watch capable.

Run 5 blocks to make a train that will place you in DT right on time just to arrive and it says 7 mins? Happened twice in a week with no weather issues or police reported issues. They simply don’t update their times in a timely manner to keep the information they present accurate.

Love EasyBART but it needs to add the BART stations in Santa Clara County.

Also is it possible to have a toggle selection for displaying the station map? I’d prefer the station map over the red pins as a default.

EasyBART is awful! Do the people that made EasyBART actually use it? If they did, they’d quickly realize that their app is not user friendly. You cannot look up a train schedule and view multiple departure times. You have to go in and change the time to view the different departure times. Sorry but the only option is to delete EasyBART.

I didn't realize how much I use it until it stopped working for me (Warm Springs broke me, but it is fixed now!)

I add my favorite stations-trips and very quick to check the real time departure. Pretty reliable for Civic Center and Concord at least.

Moved to SF 2 years ago and this has been my go-to app for everything BART. I always recommend EasyBART to friends who visit and use the BART. I love it, always accurate!

Easy to access (parking is tight M-F) and comfortable, clean riding.
Always a pleasure to take the BART from Dublin to San Francisco when family and friends come to visit and we don't want to fight the traffic!

Like the ability to put my to and from and quickly get train schedules with extremely minimal navigation.

EasyBART itself is OK. However, after a few weeks of using, it will pop up several full pages of ads every time when you launch EasyBART . Not the small ads at the bottom of your screen. I mean FULL page. And it will sometimes direct to other sites. Very annoying. Deleted from my phone.
