When you are in an airport view and click on another airport, the second airport's info overlays on top of the first so you can't see anything. There’s no way to back out, so you must force close FlightAviationWeather and relaunch. I’m still using the free version to see if I like FlightAviationWeather , so it may be related to that since you can only see one airport at a time. But it creates a catch 22 because it doesn't work, but I don’t want to spend the money to see if the upgrade fixes it.

Every time I open FlightAviationWeather the WX data is out of date. Does anyone know how to make it refresh? Hey developers... Using old METARS is a serious safety issue.

Update: The developer got back to me on this. They informed me that the data could be updated by swiping down on the screen. Who knew? This is an app for aviation weather. Kind of important to pilots in the air, that the weather reports are accurate and up to date. When a pilot opens FlightAviationWeather , the first thing it should do is update the data.

Useless to call FlightAviationWeather free when you can’t even view one airport to see what is available in FlightAviationWeather . Not a good way to even consider deciding whether pro is worth the money since I can’t view what may be available on pro.

Your best bet is to get Nav Monster or some other quality app that doesn’t cost anything and you get all you need for a safe flight without a formal briefing. FltPlan is another app where you can get airport data for free and even file a flight plan.

Was looking for a good weather app. There are several bugs and lots of issues that make me not want to use it. I would buy the full version if it wasn’t for the issues. Unfortunately the issues make it unusable.

User should not have to manually swipe to update METAR data. It should update hourly when FlightAviationWeather is in use. Free version is limited to one saved reporting station so no issue with draining battery as developer brought up in response to other similar reviews.

Currently this is the best Weather App I have been able to find. The old Takeoff App I liked better but has been discontinued. I like how it seems to accurately present Notams. And How it presents the weather in an easy snapshot type view. What could be better. I agree with other reviewers that it should update automatically every 15 to 30 minutes with the option to update with a swipe down for most current weather. It is hard to tell if weather is old because app hasn’t updated or because weather data hasn’t been updated, so I end up updating FlightAviationWeather to get the same weather already being reported. Even just an indication of how long it has been since FlightAviationWeather has updated would help. Decoded Area Forecasts are hard to read because it is difficult to tell if times are Local time or Zulu times. Would be much easier to read if Local times were shown. Brian CFI

Just getting started with FlightAviationWeather and I like the information provided - plenty for my VFR lifestyle !
The one issue I have is using FlightAviationWeather on my plane dash mount / home IPad ——— it won’t work in a portrait position on an IPad, only in landscape mode..
it ( FlightAviationWeather ) would be perfect if I could use it in landscape as the pad is mounted — it DOES - work on an iPhone in landscape .... aaauuuggghhh ! LoL

Been using FlightAviationWeather for a while now, but unfortunately every new attempt to use, shows a message that says “no internet connection”
I have tried everything like closing FlightAviationWeather , deleting it and downloading it again, but nothing seems to work.-

I’m a student pilot, I love FlightAviationWeather so far. FlightAviationWeather is simple to use and very detailed. I really like that it decodes the Weather into plain English.

It was a much better app when it saved my airports. Now it requires me entering them each time I open FlightAviationWeather .

FlightAviationWeather is great. I would like to be able to search using the map and location and get a weather radar.

All information, charts, approach plates, and of course wx - anything you could want in one place! No subscriptions, nothing extra to purchase, it's all here!

What I like about FlightAviationWeather is the ability to check previous metars and tafs on the same page, good to see how weather is going along.

3 stars for metar and taf data. I paid for the full app so I could get notams withouts constant ads, but the notams don't show up.

Would be a great app if I could get the notams too.

I like FlightAviationWeather, I just wish it would update more often. But it is handy to get a quick look.

I find FlightAviationWeather to be a really unique app in Design and in the Data it reports to you! I feel if you download FlightAviationWeather today you really will not regret it! This to me is a 5 Star App!!!!!!

Great app. Not sure where to make suggestion, but on map view of saved airports, instead of pins, would be nice to see icons for wx conditions (green-vfr, blue-mvfr etc). Love FlightAviationWeather . Great to have quick access to metar and TAF

After the latest IOS update, this application does not work properly. FlightAviationWeather freezes up and does not download the latest TAF or METAR.

I have tried all settings on both FlightAviationWeather and the phone but no success. I have no problems with other apps on this or 4 other devices. It seems well conceived but execution is suspect. Just downloaded to primary iPad. Internet was working then

Not practical unless you pay. I had it for about a week and you only get one or two free airports, then you have to go pro to get more. Then it randomly deleted all my airports and said I had no more available to add. Made it completely useless, just staring at a map

Limited to two airports unless you upgrade and pay for pro version. The two airports I selected have disappeared, but when o try to refresh, FlightAviationWeather crashes. If I try to Re-add them, FlightAviationWeather reminds me that I am limited to two airports unless I upgrade to pro. As such, FlightAviationWeather is useless.

FlightAviationWeather could be great but when the TAF is decoded there is no visibility listed. You have to go to the raw format to see the visibility.

Additionally the time windows for the TAF are part local time part Zulu time which makes reading the TAF extremely difficult.

If this is fixed FlightAviationWeather would be a 5 star all day every day.

I like FlightAviationWeather very much, should be 4.5 rating would be a 5.0 but can display my home airport KW29 Bay Bridge Airport in Stevensville, MD. However, still a great app,
