Sports Team Connect Reviews

SportsTeamConnect is fine if you have one child on one team in one sport. I have four kids on different teams. All of the teams us SportsTeamConnect. Push notifications are a joke. They generically say “a new message is received” but do not say who sent the message or what the message is about. Even more frustrating, teams can opt to send a “system message” that shows up in ALL of the teams’ message feeds. So if I go into one of my kid’s team message feeds i will see “practice canceled”... but that message is in ALL of my kids’s team message feeds... so who’s practice is canceled? You don’t know? Me either!!!! I hate SportsTeamConnect but i have to use it because for some stupid reason athletic organizations use it.

My recommendation is to stay away from SportsTeamConnect if you can. Use Google calendar for your events and email for communication. SportsTeamConnect is terrible!

Our soccer league uses SportsTeamConnect and I love how well it works. You can print your roster, locate your field, make changes, schedule practices/games and message your team easily.

My one wish would be that there was a calendar on the opening page that had all of my teams schedule info in one spot. ie: I have 3 teams, if there was a spot that I could see which team was playing where without having to go into each team separately it would definitely be a 5 star app.

When SportsTeamConnect work it’s great. However for the past month SportsTeamConnect doesn’t show your roster or notes that the manager has left. There are much better app that have more features. I would rate higher if it would work longer than a couple of months.

Hey developers you have a problem with iOS users. We cant see any specifics details about a specific game. Out team manager does a great job provides field location, arrival time and which uniform to wear (home or away) but in SportsTeamConnect on all my iOS devices that part is hidden from view. It use to work but now nothing. This is not a new issue judging from the reviews I have read on here. Do a better job make SportsTeamConnect function properly with the latest iOS system, STEP IT UP!!!

Hey Developers!! Maybe you should read these comments about your useless app. SportsTeamConnect barely has any functionality.
Need to know game scores??
Need to update profile?
Need to update availability?
Forgot password?
Want SportsTeamConnect and website to show the same information?
Want to get a single text vs multiple and get all the information?
Want to have a relaxing user friendly experience?
These are all the things you won’t get with SportsTeamConnect. But you will walk away frustrated, have no information and want to bash your head against the wall.
If your Club recommends switching to this, Run.. Run as far away as you can from this. Save yourself the headache and frustration. TeamSnap is a far better choice.

Notes section neither formats correctly in app (unable to see all notes) nor does it get added when subscribing to the calendar.

Notes is helpful team comments, but only helpful if you are a computer/laptop user.

This Application is completely underdeveloped. It ends the session by itself, doesn’t retain inputs to player scheduling, and is generally terrible.
Our entire soccer league went to this tool from TeamSnap, which is a DREAM compared to TeamConnect. All I can think is that it must have been written by a young family member of the leaders of USA Youth Soccer league as a way to save the league money. No one who cares about their time and organization would use it.

When I send a message to anyone on the team I get an email notifications to my email. Hard to tell if it was sent properly, even when you look at the “sent” messages. What is the “green” switch for post as announcement mean?

Maybe 1 star is a little low, but we used to use teamsnap and it is so much better and the divide between the two makes it seem like a one star app.

I don’t have time to write all the things wrong with SportsTeamConnect. As team manager, I (try to) use SportsTeamConnect a lot.

Attendance doesn’t work, you can mark attendance all day long but it won’t record.

You can’t send texts to the team from SportsTeamConnect but you can from the desktop. That makes no sense. I am usually in the grocery store when a practice is cancelled at the last minute and want to send a quick text to alert parents. Did the engineering team think about use cases for this functionality?

When I setup a new event or practice and it notify a the parents, the notification only gives the start time. Not the END TIME.

Really just a horrible app to use. Want to type a message longer than 4 lines? Hope you don’t need to see what you’re typing to get your point across. Have multiple accounts? Hope you like logging in and out all the time. Like emails? Good because this ain’t no chat app. Really just an absolute poor excuse for an app that your sports club will require you to use

Overall, I like SportsTeamConnect , however, I’m unable to edit any event, and email notifications aren’t sent out automatically. I receive an error that “schedule can not be changed at this time”. I have to delete the event and recreate it every time.

I can’t find a place to report to Team Connect direct so hopefully they read this. You can no longer scroll thru the notes when in SportsTeamConnect , this is where I put the uniform colors since the uniform buttons don’t work.

When updating notes, the info is not visibly displayed.

At this time I get the spinning wheel of death, request to join team, put in the invite ID and SportsTeamConnect crashes! Would really like to be able to see the schedule and updates that the coach is putting in.

I used to find SportsTeamConnect helpful in managing my team and especially sending emails and texts to parents. I opened it tonight to compose a welcome message to parents and SportsTeamConnect was so bad I just gave up. Our team has used this for 5-6 seasons, but if SportsTeamConnect doesn’t get improved we’ll find something else.

Love the idea and links, however anytime you click on something to “edit” the roster, team photos, contact information, etc. SportsTeamConnect crashes. Makes it unreliable and you are better off just setting up a group text or email teams....

We are forced by our club to use SportsTeamConnect. Too many problems to list. Everyone wanted TeamSnap. We use this for other clubs. I tried to reach out for help in SportsTeamConnect . They force selection of what app you have issues with & TeamConnect is not listed. Worst app I’ve ever used.

SportsTeamConnect is horrendous. Difficult to navigate, very diff features on mobile app vs browser/desktop, and horrible at keeping parent-child relationships consistent across various teams. Half the time I cannot navigate consistently... such a hassle. I hate this piece of crap.

Can’t even create an account to get in. Been nothing but frustrating ! Our hockey team uses team snap which is a paid app that all team player parents split but it is well worth it .
If I could give it a zero star I would.

Club forcing us to use SportsTeamConnect and it has some major bugs! After uninstalling and deleting my registration to a team, errors are still occurring. Practices are viewed as ongoing one moment & the next they are cancelled. How can we depend on this to inform team members!?!
