I have been using this app for several year as a pro rider and pro coach. It has become my most important work tool. As a Kiteboarder you can get live wind readings. This new update brings you a really awesome feature : you can now post your own wind report and let everyone know what is the wind like we’re you are. You can also as comments to the post to let everyone know how crowded the spot is or anything you feel is important to share. Don’t wait download it and try it out !!!!

As a professional, open-water kayak instructor and guide we use this site daily. Most kiteboarders are looking for the wind but we are looking for the lulls for our teaching and guiding. KiteSurf gives me accurate forecast throughout the region that allows for travel-time to put our clients in optimal learning environments to achieve their desired paddling goals. If you are involved in any water sports, or around water or even just want to know what your local weather conditions are, you need iKitesurf. If you are a kitesurfer or surfer of any kind, you need iKitesurf. Seamless, accurate and game changing would be a few words I would use to describe iKitesurf. I’m on it checking out wind and forecasts ten times a day so I don’t ever miss the opportunity to get on the water and kite!!

Top 10 favorite app ever. So well designed , functional, and beautiful … I don’t kitesurf but the wind and radar data make iKitesurf amazing for planning purposes - ie beach day , hide from wind etc… service is also great … when the radar was down fir a few weeks I emailed the developers dnd they fixed the issue . Well done this app !!!

I’ve been using your app for bout 3 years. Over the last 6 months I’ve been having a lot of trouble getting iKitesurf to wrk correctly. When I’m in map view, and click on a weather site, and then try to view the actual wind real time, the graph does not open up. I get a blank screen. Very frustrating. I reloaded your app, thinking that would solve it, and it did for a couple of tries, but now it doesn’t work. You need to fix this or IL end up canceling my subscription. Thanks

How it works in iOS versus desktop etc is still a mystery to me as is the inability to select your user name which makes having to re sign after a long time of auto signatures a challenge. That being said what it’s built to do in real life is great. The forecasts are usually excellent and have saved or served up a good session.

This is a solid app for forecasts and most of the time real wind conditions. The meter at our beach isn’t correct (points west when it’s blowing east, etc) but we work around it. Paying for the $3.99 version and it has the right amount of functionality. Used to have the 9.99 version and we never used it to full capacity.

I couldn't survive without iKitesurf. It is incredibly accurate for my location in Maui. I check it multiple times a day, including at home when I'm deciding when to leave for the beach. And then again at the beach when I'm deciding what kite to pump up. I would LOVE a version for the Apple Watch!

App is good when it works but good luck if you have an issue. Have tried to post a classified ad in community section for months but doesn’t work. Finally got a response that they were having problems but they still don’t have it fixed. Had a problem early on when I forgot my login and that took weeks to get resolved. Worth looking at alternatives just to avoid the brain damage if you have a problem.

I never used any kind of wind app or forecast tool the first 4 years that I kited. I finally gave in and got this app and I now can't believe I held off for so long. This is an amazing tool - it saves so much time and actually allows me to plan ahead for the wind, so that even during a busy work week, I am able to get out on the water.

Good app once ya get used to the graphics. i wish I could have it always open on my favorite location or on my iwindsurf home page. I haven't found a way to accomplish this. I'm still learning to use it.... Great info, seems pretty accurate for the Gorge. Cool world results.

iKitesurf is very well made and very helpful, however, after upgrading to the new iOS11, I cannot click on the weather stations on the map anymore.
Upd: the authors are very responsive and fixed iKitesurf within a few days after Apple broke their API once again.

When the trees start to move by my house I need to know how windy it is on the water. With this app I check anytime and see if the wind is strong enough to play. This is one of the most useful apps I have on my iPhone!

Weather experts are great and bay area forecast is often very accurate. 1km model is awesome too.

But iKitesurf and website are a nightmare to use. It’s not responsive, doesn’t work on safari, not always on chrome, full of ads, even with a pro account. I takes minutes to update a page, or to find the one we are looking for. I begin writing python scripts to get the one I’m looking for.

Like the title says, you need to have a Pro level subscription $10 per month (year contract) or $20 per month to see accurate reports at your favorite spots. You may get lucky and have a free station somewhat nearby. Maybe.

Didn’t use the forecasting (need to pay for it), classifieds are helpful but Craigslist can narrow down the sale area a little better.

Not a bad app. It does a lot, IF you’re willing to shell out the dough for it

I have owned a business that does Kiteboarding instruction for 9 years now. I use the this app app to forecast for my lessons on a daily basis. I highly recommend using it and going with the pro feature to get an enhanced list of weather stations and more importantly the pro forecast.

Super functional it saves me money so I don’t go to kite and the wind dies. Also good for regular surfing when im abroad or choosing the correct spot that is wind direction sensitive. I can’t
Function without it!

this app is a part of my session. Why waste time driving in search of perfect conditions if they’re not there? And even better, when the conditions get good you know it’s time to go.

I have been a loyal premium subscriber to this app for years, its an amazing service. The iPhone app is fantastic and I use it multiple times daily. Please add an apple watch support with a widget on the watch face you can set to show the wind at your favorite site. This would be incredible. Thanks!

The new update is great. The best part is the new Complete Report you get with your favorite weather stations. All he info is there at one click. Even the archive wind so you can compare yesterday’s fun session to today’s. Great idea and a great new installment.
