Great magazine and great app

Nothing to complain. It loads quickly, easy to navigate, has pretty much all in the paper version. Great mag btw




NEW VERSION BROKEN PLEASE FIX

I updated this app today and I can no longer access my issues! Startup freezes on the splash screen with the message "optimizing content" on the bottom. PLEASE FIX!




I should read the reviews here before i subscribed.

this app is definitely a great magazine and i love it. i was so happy to find out this iPad version and i immediately make a 2 years subscription. But i’d been stuck for few weeks, having multiple issues and until now i still couldn’t read it.
the problems i had:
1. although with a 2 years subscription, it still ask me to pay for download the latest issue. I wrote an email to customer service and they solve this for me after few days, i actually appreciate this.
2. now it looks like i can download the latest issue, but wait, it keep “preparing” for few days and never really download.
3. i try again after a week, now it tells me "You have reached your limit of devices allowed to read your edition of your this app Digital magazine. “ what is this? i only have 1 iPad & 1 iPhone, and i not even success to download the latest issue for weeks!




Do Not Subscribe

I bought a one year subscription through Q . After 4 issues, Q "thought" my subscription was up and wanted me to pay for additional issues, even though I should have had 8 more issues to go. i deleted and reinstalled Q and then I wasn't able to restore previous issues. I wrote to iTunes support who told me I had to write to the developer for support. I sent four separate messages to Bauer Media and they didn't reply to any of them. this app is a great magazine with a long history but whoever is handling their digital media is completely clueless.




More bugs than magazines

I have both a print AND an iTunes subscription, yet can't get any content to load. I can sign in, I can try to restore my purchases, but nothing, nada, no matter how often I type in logins. I have deleted and reloaded, as well as turned the iPad completely off. No joy, or this app, on either my phone or iPad. They keep sending me email exhorting me to download the current issue though. Maybe if I try enough times something will happen. No. Nothing.




Best music mag ever made

I was so glad to see the this app is available on iPad. Then I saw the reviews! Don't be put off by the bad reviews. I had zero problems purchasing or downloading the magazine. It looks great on the iPad. If you are not familiar with this magazine you should be. This is the greatest music magazine ever!




If not worst mag app, certainly worst customer service

I can't get new issues to download. I'm allowed to select the "Download", "Pause", and "Cancel" options. However, once I select Download and the UI changes to display the progress bar, % completed, etc. nothing happens. Nothing downloads. Q doesn't even 'time out'.

I've deleted and re-installed at least three times over the course of the last month, or so, since this problem started. I've been billed for at least one auto-renewal subscription payment since the problem started, as well.

I'm using a first-gen iPad. Still with iOS5. Nothing on Q info page indicates that I'm not using compatible hardware or iOs.

Reported the incident on the iTunes Support board. No response. Three weeks later.




Won't download

I would like to review Q, but I can't get past the download screen. It prepares the download and then shows a status bar that never moves past 0MB. I also seem to then get stuck in Q store if I go back to the store (like to try and add this review) until I power off my iPad and power it on again. At this point, I'm glad I only bought one issue. I will be more than happy to change this review once I can actually read the magazine.




Would be a 5 but it crashes all the time

Great magazine, it is my favorite one by decades. I was enthusiastic to have on all my devices but after the purchase of an entire year I am totally mad. Q crashes all the time, it is impossible to read something. The developers need to do something since it looks like I'm not the only one experiencing the problem. If you think to buy the subscription, don't do it and buy the paper edition!




What happened?

Thought all my issues through iTunes subscription were gone with the update, but thankfully they showed up again a few minutes after hitting the "restore" button.




Rating the app, not the magazine.

Be much, much improved if app allowed us to pick up where we left off. As it is, it acts like an old fashioned magazine, but worse. Because starting at the cover and flipping all the way back to the last thing you read is actually easier with the paper version.




Great magazine, awful app

You have to delete Q then redownload it to even attempt downloading the issue. Very shoddy coming from this app.




Doesn't work

I just bought an issue and it won't even download. It hangs on 'preparing download'. I tried closing Q and trying again, but it can't get past it. No way of getting a refund, so that was $5.99 down the drain. Thanks, this app. I can't even review the magazine itself because I can't get that far. Ridiculous.




This app is awful

Do not bother. I purchased a one year subscription and I have only been able to download one issue. All the others have stalled. There is NO support and no one you you talk to about any problems. All they offer is a web page that is no help whatsoever.
