LivingtreeEngage is lacking functionality as both a parent and teacher.
The online platform is much better than LivingtreeEngage .
I love the idea of having us all connected as a school community (especially since we are a K12 school) through the same app, but it makes most parents frustrated because LivingtreeEngage isn’t intuitive.

LivingTree has made connecting with my school MUCH easier! I no longer have to go to 10 different places for information. I get to see pictures of my children in action and signing up for conferences or requests is super easy. Even better, my children are at different schools but everything is in one place for me including district announcements! My husband likes the daily digest option as well. Love this!

It is ridiculous that we are unable to post through LivingtreeEngage . I’ve tried multiple times only to have my post disappear into cyber space, or I get random error messages. It is super annoying to have to upload my pictures from my phone to my laptop and have to post from there. Posts and photos are all screwed up when I look on my phone too. I see my photos under someone else’s posts and vice versa. I’m forced to use this through the NYC DOE but from my understanding that are having tons of issues and hopefully will not be continuing with LivingTree next year. It’s awful!

Our principal hasn't been receiving messages from parents FOR WEEKS due to problems with LivingtreeEngage . It's not very intuitive to use, though after two years I've figured it out enough.
**I would love to see a bulletin board tab. Where Staff and PTO can post upcoming news like they would on a school bulletin. And gets taken down after the event.
Right now everything goes into one LONG feed under conversations. And finding an old post is harder than it should be.

The website works fine and is fairly easy to use (not as easy as Facebook or any other social media) but LivingtreeEngage crashes almost every other time I open it on my phone or iPad. It also crashes often while I’m in the middle of posting, causing me to have to start over. I like the concept of LivingtreeEngage , just really not user friendly and has way too many issues to be a valuable family engagement tool. Most parents will use LivingtreeEngage and if it doesn’t work, what’s the point? Very frustrating.

Literally the most frustrating app I’ve ever tried to use and worst teaching decision I’ve ever made because I don’t want to switch a parent communication mid year so now I’m stuck with it. All these updates and and it still routinely freezes at least twice while trying to write a post so I spend so much time rewriting. The only time I’m able to post pics is when I’m connected to my school’s WiFi and even then sometimes they don’t post. Frustrating, inconvenient, and time wasting. ☹️

I'm surprised that so many people love LivingtreeEngage. My school is large, & I hate having to scroll through all the posts to find my son's classroom. Same with the calendar - I can see everyone's events! I've had to turn off all alerts because I get notifications from all the classrooms!
I wish the posts would cut off after a few sentences with a "read more" link cause I have to scroll through some pretty long posts. And then there's no quick way back to the top, so I have to scroll all the way up again.
I also can't edit posts, or calendar events. I have to delete and start all over again.
Lastly, I don't like that it limits me to upload only 10 photos per post. I end up having to share a link to a folder of photos. Oh, and I can't highlight text to make a link, I have to paste the whole link in my post, which looks sloppy to me.
The only features I like are the directory (& options), & accessing all the photos for each class separately.

This is a terrible app. Slew of bugs, features such as writing a message in a thread do not work, even after deleting and re-uploading app - which means you can’t communicate this way. Attachments won’t open.
It really makes LivingtreeEngage close to useless.
Not my choice as this is the mandated app for school communication this year, but clearly this is by far the worse platform I have used in 7 years.

LivingtreeEngage is terrible, it is always glitching.I need it for school and i keep having to delete it and download it again for it to work. The website is far better than LivingtreeEngage . LivingtreeEngage sometimes does not give me the notifications right away so when something important comes up at my school i cant know. The only reason that i actully have LivingtreeEngage downloaded is so i can get notifications right away.

I’m in the middle of trying to send tech support my comments via LivingtreeEngage , and it froze on me for the 5th+ time tonight. Back in December I connected with a support member to discuss my issues with LivingtreeEngage . I even recorded my usage so he could see the problems. None of the issues have been addressed. This is the most frustrating, inefficient, convoluted platform to connect with parents and staff.

Does LivingtreeEngage not work on iPhones at all? “No posts to display” is what mine constantly says when I click on a notification. “This post has already been deleted.” No, it has not. This is a nightmare for a homeschooling parent, to be honest. I cannot understand how LivingtreeEngage can be so bad

It is not intuitive to use. Seems to hang up and will not load recent messages, but there is no way to know messages are missing. I’ve had to delete LivingtreeEngage entirely and re-install multiple times.

This is a horrible app to use to contact parents. I get lots of error messages and the entire app freezes! My messages have to be sent over and over. There is no way to send individual parent messages on phone! It’s horrible!

Notifications won’t go away, even after clearing.
Message center on phone shows I received a message from a teacher, go into LivingtreeEngage and nothing is there, 2-3 hrs later the message finally shows up.
