For the past several days I have been trying to contact Storm8, Inc. about updating CityStoryMetro. As soon as I submit a request, they are automatically marking the request as solved or closed. Storm8 has abandoned CityStoryMetro. 1 year ago I rated CityStoryMetro with 5 Stars. I am disappointed they have lost interest in supporting CityStoryMetro for future iOS updates. I am fairly certain when Apple rolls out the next iOS version update, CityStoryMetro will no longer function properly.

I've been building for 2 years now and I have fun doing it. To play it is quick, and I learned to let the coins build and spend as I could. I also learned solar panels gives me energy and coins. Team Lava does not provide a rule book or hints to the game, so my wife and my sons and I had to learn and teach as we went. We enjoy playing it and building and expanding. I just wish the expansion time was greatly reduced. The cost could be reduced also. I would like to see a better explanation with each building, some give energy and others don't. Please give us some information to teach us how to grow and play and be successful builders and help our neighbors as they build too.

This slow-moving game has a couple of flaws:
* you cannot tell when friends have stopped playing, or indicate this to the game/other players
* there is no button to collect all the coins earned, which wastes time touching every building which is boring and just leads to hand cramps (for older muscles like mine)
* they should expand the playing field to a larger amount of possible real estate and expand the maximum level to 999 instead of 98 (which I've met both limits and still want to play because the architectural illustrations are great)
* they shouldn't put their cross-selling under challenges, more in-game challenges for advanced players could add more fun

Been playing this city story only cause they dismantled the best city site ever,......this was good and fun for a year, now i wait long time intervals for expansions all paid for with my money, and the worst of it is : tapping on my contracts, and nothing happens.. I know all the excuses they give you why it happens, and it just shouldnt be happening in the first place,.
Nothing like trying to collect rent and nothing happens or trying to load contracts to supply businesses and i wear out my fingers trying to make something happen....time to scrap this game and look for a bmore trustworthy game..........PLEASE GIVE US BACK CITY STORY ! At least they gave us sidewalks of our own choosings, which would be very helpful as ' RIGHT OF WAYS' Especially if we are BUILDING LAND NEAR THE COAST !!!!

And still a year later and no reply ! The longer one plays , this site punishes the player by cutting down at least 50% of recieving any help from other players to purchase land....so after two years i believe i will have to dump this site Metro city.....especially as it appears they do not listen or care about us....

I love this game, the music, the graphics, everything except for a few flaws.

First, it is absolutely insane to wait an insane amount of time to have an expansion clear and the fact that it takes an insane amount of 80,000 coin to expand is atrocious. Not to mention the insane amount of permits needed.

Second, the Energy. Constantly running out of energy making the game unplayable. It is fun to build large with homes/businesses/industry, etc., especially when you can collect more and more monies from all your homes in a rather short period of time but when this happens you are out of energy quick and you have to wait a grueling 8 hours for all your community buildings to give it back. This couldn't happen any sooner. I understand that you need gems and they're great to have but this becomes very costly.

Lastly, it'd be more convenient to look up a city via city name and it would be great that if you could visit every city without the showing of your character in a car driving there. I understand it has to load but it takes a lot longer to visit all your neighbors after you've visited a few at a time.

Other than that....this game is brilliant, addictive, fun and I love it so I gave it 5 stars anyway.

Why why why? At first the game seems fun, just an average city builder. But there are flaws that make the game trash. First is always online, why, theres no need for online, online is only necessary for viewing other cities and future updates. There is no need for DRM. Second, the gems, the gems you own will be gone quickly. Without gems, you can do anything, you cant build a city inspired by NYC, Tokyo or SF. You basically need money to progress. This is an example of why I would rather pay one for like $5 than stupid micro transactions. Third is energy, why are you limiting how much can we play, you can use gems for energy, but you need money and that goes back to my second point. Fix this garbage app you greedy company by no more internet requirement, micro transactions and energy. This is why I HATE Team Lava and Rovio for making such greedy decisions. The only thing you should involve lava is to throw your games in lava because your games are trash. This could of been a great app, but without those dumb rules.

This game is really annoying it wasn't bad at first but now it's just stupid. #1 I don't understand why u need energy to keep playing. #2 Once your gems are gone they are gone forever! There is no way to earn gems instead team lava forces u to pay money to buy them. #3 why does everything in the city require special parts to make a building? It is really stupid mytown getaways was way better! Not only do u need special permits and parts for building and expansion but u can only ask friends once every 24 hours which is the stupidest part about the game. I would not recommend this game to anyone. All they want to do is be greedy and take advantage of you. All of this totally takes the fun out of the game in the first place. How can u expect to build a great city if there are so many rules and setbacks?
By the way this company is very greedy and eventually this will backfire on them. No one can fully enjoy this game having to constantly spend all this money on this one game that's not even worth it.

The games started out great but has room for improvement, i.e., receiving ONLY 20 expansion permits and/or supplies per 24 hours, having to spend REAL world money for gems to buy the nicer buildings, homes, decorations and wonders, having to wait four (4) days for an expansion to clear and having to pay as much as 80,000 for a expansion DEFINITELY needs to change!!

That being said, I've been playing CSM since it launched last summer and now that I've completely expanded there's nothing left to do but collect coins and answer neighbor's request!

Unlike other "build your city" games I'm playing, and according to CSM's Forum, TL is not planning to add new plots!! Many neighbors have elected to go on hiatus (and so have I) because there's nothing else to do. Please add MORE EXPANSION plots) as well as the other updates promised to us the CSM Forum earlier this summer!!!

For some reason I've been slightly addicted to this game. Once you get to a certain point, however, it just gets frustrating. You have to wait on others (neighbors, that you must acquire) to provide you with permits so you can expand the borders of your city. You can only ask your neighbors for one item in a 24hr period, ridiculous! Then, once you collect the 50 or so permits, also ridiculous, you have to wait another 20+ hours for your 4x4 square to be activated, unless you want to use gems which cost$$, again ridiculous. The goods and energy you use to do things in the game replenish so slowly that you pretty much play this game for a 5 minute period twice a day. Again, the game is addictive at first, but these little "annoyances" make it just an average game. Border line whack!

The game has not had an update since 2013, so that's part of the reason many don't continue to play it, but somehow whenever I get on the game into my city they always find away to get into your path and block your creativity with too many ads for other Stupid games, and they'll limit you automatically, (yes it's true) so you're basically stuck unless you spend an extensive amount of money on gems, which I refused to be suckered into that, part of the reason is because even if you buy a pack, they'll limit you more and you'll be left with 0 gems within 10 mins of purchasing ((any size pack)). Overall, it's okay, game developers don't seem to care about users, just their money and I'm not giving my dads money to a shady Californian born scam. Not a chance.

I played this game in the beginning of the year. It is, for a couple of months, very fun and addicting. But I just got a little bored because it the same. I like the new look and design, the change from night and day is also really neat. But I find the energy a little harsh. It made the game feel very limited on what you could do. So, little disappointments could be improved, as well as a new update to CityStoryMetro . Very fun and enjoyable game, haven't played as much. Great game overall, gets kind of boring after a while, So maybe an update to the game would be a solution.

First of all I'm on level 83 and I think that this is one of the most fun city building app there is. Although they expanded the amount of energy, (from 30 to 50) you can have, there are still some flaws in the game. For example how you need to purchase gems that cost REAL money in order to get the Best (aesthetically looking) buildings. Also how after a certain point there aren't any missions which makes the goal of the game pointless. BUT WORST OF ALL, How after I upgraded from my iPhone 5s to the 6S it didn't save my progress when I installed CityStoryMetro on my new phone so now I have build a new city from scratch! I am beyond frustrated because this is a fun game.

When I just got the game in 2013, I absolutely loved it. The goals made this game super addicting and it was SO much better than City Story. However, as time went on the goals stopped, and it was really hard to continue playing. I've stopped playing the game altogether because it's just so unsupported and BORING. I'm on Level 57 and all I can do is build buildings and expand, which takes a ridiculous four days to do so. Unless TeamLava updates this game (which they won't, it's been years since this game saw an update), I don't recommend it.

Edit 1: I wanted to try playing this game again, only to see now in 2017, it's still not updated. I still won't play an outdated game.😒

Edit 2: The game is not supported on iOS 11 or 12. Wish the game would get taken down. It’s useless being here.

This game is fun and actually a little harder than some other city games to stay afloat with but to me it lets me come up with strategy instead of having it work out well no matter what. The biggest issue is ever since I downloaded it unlike with the other games by them like fashion story and dragon story this one acts like it will connect to Facebook but it won't and I have a brand new iPad not even a week old and others do work so I know it is CityStoryMetro anyways though it's just a minor glitch I hope they take care of the game is fun and I would suggest it. I like how CityStoryMetro changes from day to night

This is a good game that I've been playing for a while. It's a great role play game and the graphics are excellent. Here is why I only give 3 stars:
1. Expansion: it takes forever to expand. Having to wait 3 days for expansion to complete is ridiculous especially since it takes about 3 days to receive the insane amount of permits needed by your neighbors.
2. Goals: there are no goals to complete once your city reaches a certain level. Leveling up means nothing. No incentives. Leveling up should be rewarded with gems. Goals should be rewarded with gems.
3. The price of gems is ABSOLUTELY too HIGH! I have spent real $ on this game in the past but the certain things that require gems, the total number of gems is crazy.
4. I like interacting with my "neighbors" from all over the world. This is main reason why I keep playing.
Overall, a good app game and I understand that the developers need to make $. I think that more people would spend a little $ here or there then just a few who spend a lot of $. Thus either evening out profits or IMO, expanding profits.

I can't put it words. This is just so good in so many ways I was surprised when my town turned night time with the smooth music. And when I looked up my eyes saw how calm this game can be I am impressed on so many levels u guys did such a good job this game is just Wow. I hope u make more Great games like this so peaceful and calm I would never,ever,ever lose interest with this game this game is so calm and I only got today too see its peaceful ~ness I hope no one stops likeing this game and creator don't listen to them if they do this is a fantastic game and I hope u make more :).............

there are various reasons why i have given it 4 stars and not 5.
first, I would like to say that there are nice people and that they are not needy like some other games i have tried.
second, I would like to say that its hard to expand and hard to build up coins.
lastly, some of the goals are a pain because i want the reward but dont want the item and if you buy that item and put it in storage it says you have not bought that item. But it is a good game because i found Christians the first night i added the game.
Keep improving the game the best you can.

I've been addicted to this for quite a while. It has great quality, rarely crashes, and doesn't spam ads like multiple other games.

The main problem I'd like to assess is how I am receiving no new goals or objectives. The producers of this game are only putting out new goals to advertise a couple other games they offer on CityStoryMetro Store. In order to complete the objective I have to get to certain levels on their other game. I don't have enough storage on my phone or time to be playing multiple other games, especially games I'm not interested in. Without the objectives though, this game is near useless and boring.

It's just kind of trash.. Some annoying games I can follow from team lava, like what I hate is farm story 2 and this trash game.🚫❌🚫fix it or throw it away🚫♻️🚫 please team lava I'm not trying to be mean but FIX these boring and ANNOYING games! 🙀👎it's just eggs n bacon eggs n bacon weird!🍳🍳I'm ok if you fix it✈️Please put a new update if you just make it better, I really do like it but PLEASE don't be greedy!🚫❌❌🚫just make me understand the quests as what makes it trash, and I am not allowed to make a city name just with lame numbers and more than 15 charters! Trash just trash as matter these annoying games you should delete and throw in lava🔥🔥🔥 if you fix it, I'll be ok. Thank you!🙈🙉😺😃🐾💕🐾💕

This game is fun but need more expansion space and I agree with other review about updating and support. Why even have this game to play if your team lava isn't going to support it or storm? Come on Storm and team lava support your game!!! I hope you really look at these reviews. Give us players what we ask for!! Also need to be able to build up energy not take it away houses you have. Need to change that in the game. I wish I could write programs because it would be totally different. Have a nice day.

So CityStoryMetro has a couple flaws, like that it's an online game only, and that the (real money) price for gems are ridiculous, but other than that, it's the best city building game EVER. What other city-building games actually get dark and light up at night? Or let's you create rivers and lakes? No other! Get this game, it's awesome. Don't listen to the other reviews, because really, when's the last time you bought an app that's completely flawless?
