PARALLEL PLUS Bible-study app Reviews

I have tried a number of bible apps in the past, and this one has become my go to for personal study. So far it has worked flawlessly on my iPad. Cannot believe the number of translations one has to choose from. I perceive that there has been a tremendous amount of work, thought, loving care that has gone into PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp and it has been a blessing to work from it.

So if I had the power to build an app it would look like this with a couple of additions. 1) Include the Phillips New Testament in Modern English (a wonderful, insightful translation). 2) there needs to be an E. W. Bullinger Companion Bible. Either integrated into this or a separate app. Have all the notes and verse references linked, appendices linked, etc. That would be a wow!

Overall though PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp is 5 stars all the way. Thank you for providing such a wonderful, rich app that will impact people’s lives in ways that cannot be measured.

I’ve been using Parallel Plus for several years now. It was easy to figure out and use at the beginning of my college studies, and it continues to serve me well as I head toward graduation next year. Whether you are a casual reader of the Word or someone who is looking for a deeper dive, this is an excellent app for finding your way around God’s instruction manual. One of my favorite features is the “Word” and “Verse” drop-down study. I have to take Greek and Hebrew for my degree and they have made the translations very understandable and usable. It offers the text translated phonetically with proper tense explanations. It works very well and I think it has been a real asset to my GPA. If you are looking for a great tool that is simple to use to help you glean more from the Bible, this is the one to get. It’s not complicated and you will be happy with the excellent benefits of understanding God’s Word.

I don’t do many reviews so why am I going to give PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp 5 stars? Well it doesn’t have the best UI like other Bible apps. The UI is it’s biggest feature that is hurting PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp. Confusing, small action buttons and not the best overall scrolling experience. Everything is smash and squished together. You will probably ask “why the 5 stars?” If I said what is bad about what makes it breaks an app.
Because what it doesn’t right? Is everything else. Literally. Everything else. It isn’t my primary app but it is my app for those who prefer less distractions, good social media share feature without all the frilly photo backgrounds. Simple and clean Bible verse snapshot. So this is why they they get a well deserved 5 stars. I look forward to a bette UI experience.

PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp is great for using multiple versions of the Bible and just for study. It is, for me, primarily an etymological tool to better understand context, word usage, and even connotations that make reading through the Bible an incredibly rich and engaging experience. I used it all of the time for study during my two year mission with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Arkansas, and I especially loved that it is free from any particular theological persuasions; it is a Bible that and and all of God’s children can benefit from reading and understanding to pursue their personal understanding and relationship with Heavenly Father. It’s also just fun to see the Greek and Hebrew written out, and makes me feel like I am gaining a better, wholistic view of what happened in the scriptures. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to engage more with their Bible study!

When I had the chance to buy my parallel bible years ago, I jump on it and I can truly say that it was one of the best purchases that I have ever made. You should never debate on buying any learning tool that brings your understanding of GOD’S Word. Remember, God is speaking directly you us in his word. It is both a learning tool and a communicative experience. You get the opportunity to learn what GOD’s character and personality is, and you also get first-hand knowledge of what he wants for your life and his requirement for a better life through his teachings. “This is a great app, and a learning experience.” Through PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp I am able to read the Bible in languages that is was originally written in. I am also able to read the Bible in Languages that I want to speak to someone in. It’s just an all-around learning tool for everyone.

This is my go to reference when reading or intensely studying God’s word (read daily use). Easy to flip from one passage to another. I always have 3 translations open to make clarifying the passage easier. I have a printed parallel Bible, which is huge and heavy. PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp on my tablet is so portable, I take it with me to many places. I could not do that with the printed version. The printed version is only 5 translations. PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp gives me access to MANY. If I spoke any of my ancestral languages, those versions are also available including an Arabic one! Awesome! So very glad to have PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp. Thank you to those who work to make this available and keep adding to it. What an awesome service for getting out the word of God!

I use PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp daily. I keep six different translations with original Greek & Hebrew/Aramaic (plus LXX/Septuagint) texts open for every passage read in morning devotional, using the lexicological aids for word studies. This often allows me to formulate alternate translations that illuminate passages beyond what the Amplified Bible offers.

I especially like the simple, unified interface for searching words, phrases and book&verse addresses, which is able to decipher attempts at book abbreviations without colons or other customary punctuation.

I gave only four stars simply because nothing is perfect. I believe the interface can be made a bit more intuitive. Plus, I would like to see a few of my favorite translations made available, namely the KJ2/Jay P Green, NLT and Living Bible paraphrase. I would also enjoy seeing parallel links to Haley's Handbook and reputable verse-by-verse commentaries, such as Ironside and Chuck Smith.

I really love PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp. I was looking really hard for a Bible app that could show how many times a Hebrew word is used, and where it’s used, but not many apps have a tool that did exactly what I wanted. I also really like the way PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp lets you look at multiple translations. I’ve also found that the Hebrew definitions are more exhaustive and accurate (that’s in my opinion). It doesn’t look too cluttered, and it’s still easy to maneuver through the options. PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp is also pretty easy to use; I don’t find myself getting frustrated by the format. The only critique is that PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp isn’t the most visually appealing, but I think it’s abilities make up for it. I honestly wonder why PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp isn’t more popular because it really is a gem!

I enjoy viewing several Bible versions side by side on my iPhone screen. I don’t have to close out of one version in order to select additional versions in order compare the different translations of the Bible (God’s Words). The search tool is easy and fast as well. Also it provides additional information about verses and meanings of words as well as Bibles in other languages. I rate it 5 Stars after having other electronic Bible Apps. I use another Bible app as well only because it has many Bible videos and my many of it’s versions include audio reading of the words on the screen. If the Parallel Plus were to add those additional features of audio reading it would be a 5++.

I have been using PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp as a reference while learning Biblical Hebrew through an online course through Hebrew University of Jerusalem. It is an amazing source. I love that I can easily go directly to any verse and also search for words or phrases. It is a tremendous help. I also use it when I listen to the Hebrew being read on Mechon Mamre web site. I use PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp every day.

Update - I am now in the fourth Hebrew course and PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp is my #1 resource. The Verse Study and Word Study that I discovered after writing the initial review above are absolutely priceless. It is better than having a lexicon on hand. You get the root and part of speech for every word in the verse. For verbs, you get the root, binyan, form and person. Wonderful!

I have been using this Bible app for over a year now and I absolutely love it! I am able to see whatever 2 Bible versions I want to see at anytime, it has the Greek words and meanings, devotionals, a notes section on each verse! So if I want to write notes on a verse I just read then I can, and it has so much more that I haven’t even utilized yet!! I would definitely recommend this Bible app to everyone especially for study! The words in the amplified version makes the scriptures open up and you are able to understand exactly what it’s saying! I am so grateful for this Bible app it has truly blessed my life and I pray that it will be just as much as a blessing for you all as well!!!

I have tried using other parallel; bible applications and this is by far the most helpful tp study bible passages and easily search ang look at so many versions. The most I could really find on pother apps is 2 without much resources behind it. You can even look up the Hebrew and Greek behind the passages. So many various tools and so easy to use with readable multiple versions, even on an iPhone (by inverting the screen). I am so very thankful for PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp. It has moved my study to much deeper levels!I It is like having an entire large library of bible resources right in your phone and so easy to access. One other favorite app has a lot of resources, but so difficult to access.

I have just gotten Parallel Plus and love it! I’m still learning all of it’s features which are really helpful. I really like the ability to touch a word you aren’t sure you understand and it gives you lots of information about the translation and other info. Being able to read a verse or two in several translations give you a better understanding of what the writer is trying to convey. I wish I could convert the a Greek to capital letters rather than lower case (and maybe you can but I don’t know how) because I understand a little a Greek but learned using all caps.
Parallel Plus is a great learning tool for serious Bible study.

I took some Hebrew, I read the Greek NT. What a delight to read Genesis 1 in several English translations and the Greek LXX and be able to delve (dabble?) in the Hebrew text. The parsing and vocabulary notes for Hebrew and Greek enable that. I showed my iPad screen open to Genesis 1 and recommended PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp to my son who knows no Hebrew or Greek and he was excited. I heartily recommend PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp to all who want to dive deep into the Bible, and I hope dwell daily with God for the long haul in this life and forever. The easy access to several translations, the Biblical languages, and especially the notes on the vocabulary and grammar of the Biblical languages make this privilege a pleasure and delight (the drudgery disappears). In my effort to find a new Bible study tool, I discovered Parallel Plus several weeks ago and have been using it since then. Though I am not completely familiar with all of its offerings, what I have found so far, I have really enjoyed and have been pleased with. Its ease of use is so welcoming, as the features offer intuitive paths of discovery. The ability to select a variety of the Bible versions you prefer in order to create an attractive home page palette based on your preferences is nice. The methods of selecting detailed word and verse studies, along with Hebrew and Greek resources, is so enriching to one’s scriptural understanding. Thank you for a great app!

I am grateful for the fact that I can see 5 different versions side by side and do word searches as well. I am new to PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp, but have found so many reasons to label it “perfect”. My favorite feature is in the landscape parallel position, you can change out the translations that suit you best giving you the perfect layout for studying, projects or simply comparing a verse you may be unclear about. Color coded options to highlight passages helps to keep organized. I was looking for inspiration one day and this was the first app to pop up in PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp Store and I found the perfect verse for my situation immediately. You can’t go wrong by downloading this FREE app. Excellent!!!

This is PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp I most prefer using, especially when following along to my pastor’s sermons. Many times he will try to elaborate on a given verse by reading from multiple translations or interpretations. With PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp I can set it for as many as seven different alternatives and quickly follow his moves from version to version. I used to carry a physical larger four version Bible, but this is FAR better...and on my iPad Mini 4, MUCH lighter to hold. Keep up the great work! Any chance of adding the PASSION translation (which is available for FREE on the Kindle) as another choice?

PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp is incredibly powerful and will give you more than you could ever bargain for. If you’re learning either Greek or Hebrew this is an absolute must have in your library. It has been incredibly powerful and amazingly helpful. You will be able to cross reference words quickly, look up the meanings of the words with scholarly resources, and you will be able to compare translations in other languages other than the English translations. I’ve never experienced a bug or glitch with it to date. Thank you for this amazing tool and God bless the team that made PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp a reality.

I'm a full time preacher so I study every week for 2 sermons and an adult Bible class. PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp is perhaps the most valuable app I have for my study. I would dare say I use it almost every day. I love seeing the passage I'm studying in four of the major translations. I love seeing New Testament passages with the Greek text. I love that PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp shows me every passage where a certain Greek word is located. I love that there is a book count for where the word appears. I love that I get the other Greek words in the same family. I love that parsing is available for each word. In short I love PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp and use it constantly.

I came to love PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp. I struggled a little getting used to but when I started using it regularly, I realized its value. I was tired of having all my bible translations opened on my desk to do my Bible study. PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp saves a tremendous amount of time. Having five translations of a verse side by side and being able to quickly compare them is invaluable. I speak Spanish and German and I wish I had the choice of selecting translations in different languages (besides the Greek) so I can expand my Bible study a little bit more. PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp is great! As a seminary student, PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp is extremely helpful! Looking at multiple translations at once helps me to get a better idea of the meaning of a passage, and helps me to look at a passage in a way I may not have if I had only read one translation.
Not only do I get a deeper meaning of God’s Word, but PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp allows me to test the integrity of a translation I may not be familiar with against multiple translations I know and trust.

This is great for students or anyone looking to study the Bible more deeply. It’s also great for everyday reading!

The most important thing about reading Gods word is praying for understanding. I have been searching for a bible that would be easy to understand, this is it!! This bible is a godsend, when I cant understand the KJV or NKJV, all I have to do is go to one of the translations in this parallel and get a clear English translation and I can continue to read. No more excuse of “I don’t understand the Bible” I love this and will let all my family and friends know that this is available. PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp is AWESOME- and I mean that in the Biblical sense. You can select individual words and see every translation, the history of the word, why it was translated that way, plus you can have 4 translations side-by-side all at the same time- my personal setup is NIV-Hebrew-Greek-King James. You can also see every occurrence of a word just by clicking on it, which is invaluable. I love my Bible that I’ve had for almost 25 years, but PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp is essential for anyone serious about Bible study and building a solid relationship with Christ. It’s incredible.

I’ve been using this product (either in website or app form) for almost 10 years now, which is kind of shocking and makes me feel old. It’s an outstanding program. Easy to use, and powerful. I’ve got a decent Logos package, but still find myself using Parallel Plus for most things. I end up using Logos for the more recent BDAG and HALOT lexicons, which PARALLELPLUSBiblestudyapp could absolutely not provide unless it started charging $400 per user. But I do all my ground work here. I couldn’t be happier with this thing!
