Can’t figure it out, not user friendly

I bought MELPRO with high expectations of recording my mileage. I read the reviews. I loaded the program. I was able to get one trip locked. But when I wanted to add another trip, the program would not allow me to add anything. The price was a bit high to track 30 miles of travel.

When I go to enter a mileage entry and go to enter the number of miles the apps "done" button is covering my keyboard and number buttons in the bottom left. I use an iphone with the Swype keyboard. So I cannot enter a number in the miles traveled...very frustrating does anyone know a fix to this?

Total sham product. You can’t even SEND and email to support, probably because there is none. If you want to manually START and STOP you tracking EVERY Drive and manually type in the vehicle, destination, purpose, and tax dollar per mile EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU DRIVE... then this, YOUR F^^## IDIOT is MELPRO for you.
Is there a way to get my money back?

I bought MELPRO thinking it would be a helpful tool as an outside sales person and I finished a full day of work hoping to have a log. Nothing. Luckily I still have Mile IQ on my phone and it captured everything. I reached out to the developer to no avail.

Tried to enter the odometer and it wouldn’t take it. Tried it about 4 times.

Is there a way to get a refund from MELPRO Store?

If only there was auto track. App never developed further than a simple data entry app. I supported this developer and paid for MELPRO with no real useful functionality

I used another app for two years and constantly had problems with it losing data in the middle of a trip. MEL has great functionality, is easy to use and the reports work great. Only a few times has it lost data. But I find out of ha it I close apps and MEL doesn't work when it's closed like my other app did.

A great app. Unclear instructions but you can stop and restart a single trip when you stop off somewhere for a while (before your GPS shuts off your iPhone) so you can create a multi-day several-stop trip. Can transfer info between iPhone and iPad.

I have been using MELPRO for two years to keep track of the miles that I travel for business. It is a great app that is easy to use and it is reliable (i.e. it has NEVER lost my data and it ALWAYS functions properly). Running total monthly and annual totals are very convenient for taxes!

Works pretty well for what I need. Wish odometer readings were easier to enter and would save for my different cars. Also wish it would stop popping up the 'do you like MELPRO' thing, especially when I've already written a review!

This is a great app for mileage recording. I use it often to record business miles using toe option where you enter starting and ending mileage. It makes a good record for the IRS. I tried a couple of other similar apps but find this one the most suited to my needs.

Stores all my driving information and export works great. Love the look and the easy user interface. Worth the purchase!!! Love the new watch interface!

I use for tracking miles, would be nice to set rates for uses. I have to change the rate to zero for personal miles, and then re-enter the rate for business miles. Also it will only track odometer for one car. It tracks well, until changing cars, then you have to re-enter odometer. Minor points, otherwise it has worked flawlessly.

MELPRO is great and I use it with multiple vehicles that I have. I like using it for tracking mileage for Doctor Visits and Military Travel these are monthly tracking and the download is great for taxes and official usage for all my driving that is not going to work or personal driving. It can almost break it down to how much I really drive to work and home without tracking it due to appointments being weekly and military travel monthly. Great app to use for tracking mileage and expenses to include tolls, fuel purchases, and meals while traveling.

MEL is Great!

Need an app to basically track my medical and volunteer miles for taxes. After looking at many mileage expense trackers, and after using Falcon Expenses for several years, I just switched to MEL and am loving it. FE pitched free use for unlimited entries at first, with an recurring monthly subscription fee only if you wanted to submit (export) reports. I was willing to do that for one month a year at tax time. But then they got greedy and starting limiting entries, at first to 10/mo for free, but since the beginning of this year 2019 down to six in a month, before requiring that I subscribe, and now the fee was increased too. I could see where that was going; every year I’d be paying more for less, and support was poor, defensive, contentious, and sometimes taking a week or more to respond - generally customer unfriendly. Even just cancelling the subscription required 10 days advance notice. Needless to say, MEL stood out by promoting no subscription necessary! And also by providing selectable and IRS current mileage rates which FE did not (only one rate which had to be entered in settings before entering a new expense). FE did have more filtering flexibility by using tags to group expenses, but I find that MEL’s two fields per entry, Destination and Purpose, by which expenses can be grouped when exporting, is adequate. I do wish there was one more field per expense for a note or comment, unique to each entry, ie not saved to a pick list. I also love the ability in MEL to back up my data to iCloud or Drop box, which can be also be used to transfer and synch data between devices, another feature lacking in FE. Thanks!

I've tried a bunch of driving log apps and this one is hands down the easiest to use. I travel a lot for business and have put a lot of mileage on my car and MELPRO is indispensable!
