KITV 4 Breaking News Weather Reviews

I too am unable to find articles in my notifications. I realize if you try to find them immediately, you cannot. But an hour later? When clicking on the notification, it always takes me to their landing page. It’s like a big ad for the KITV app. I wasted SO MUCH time trying to find these news articles I gave up and deleted KITV4BreakingNewsWeather . Don’t waste your time! I’ll just use my HAWAII NEWS NOW app.

This is supposed to be KITV4BreakingNewsWeather for a tv news channel. It is not updated more than once a week with most “news” being several WEEKS out of date. Even an event like 9/11 would not appear for a week if it happened after the update.

Why bother with push alerts when there are never relevant articles associated? When I click on an interesting, or in today’s COVID-19 vital, story, I instead get brought to a general information page

Why doesn’t it open in app when I click on news in notifications? It always opens in safari n the article is not even there.

KITV4BreakingNewsWeather opens up safari app and it doesn’t give you the story the notification showed. It’s junk!

KITV4BreakingNewsWeather doesn’t carry the latest news in Hawaii. What you see is news that’s a few days old. Not for me.

Notifications link to a video feed that typically plays stories different from the subject of the notification. It’s more reliable to look up the subject of the notification on other news outlets.

I just closed KITV4BreakingNewsWeather . Only the first five articles were current. From the sixth item on the articles were all several days old.
I though this was a NEWS app?!

App crashes a lot on iPhone. Click on news item and app crashes.

Keeps buffering on the tv when pairing KITV4BreakingNewsWeather .

Why do we have to pay for KITV4BreakingNewsWeather? KHON is free.

Better than the other guy's apps, so I turned off all the others. KITV4BreakingNewsWeather is generally slow to connect
and load up. Sometimes when I get an alert, clicking it doesn't bring up the
featured news item. Writing this review was also
problematic since "auto wrap" did not work; I
had to "force wrap" using "Return":(

If you’re looking for a great news app for Hawaii, this is it. I can tell they’ve really made some large improvements. When comparing to other news apps, this one is the most up-to-date. I also get push notifications and the KITV 4 app always alerts me first. Keep up the good work KITV

I'm sad I can't give more than 5 stars. KITV4BreakingNewsWeather is VO-friendly and as a blind person, I find it easy to navigate. I can keep up to date with local news and weather conditions, important esp during hurricane season. Thank you!!! A million times, thank you!!!

I just downloaded KITV4BreakingNewsWeather earlier today. I knew there was going to be a tropical storm called Flossie hitting the islands today so I wanted to be up to date on the storm from home in Seattle. KITV4BreakingNewsWeather not only kept me current on Flossie but also notified me when there was a magnitude 3.5 earthquake off Oahu. I called my Dad who lives on Oahu to see if he was okay after I heard about the earthquake. He was fine, said he felt it. I love Hawaii so much and was born there. I have visited over 100 times in my life and to be in the know of all their news means so much to me. I am very happy with the way KITV4BreakingNewsWeather has provided this.
