Mike was there 10 years ago when my daughter was kidnapped from Wallmart in Central, and raped at gunpoint. I will never forget his kindness and empathy for my daughter and myself during this tragedy. I’m so saddened to hear of his death this morning. The world has lost a great human being, and the news will not be the same without him. People should know that he wasn’t just a reporter, he was a person who deeply cared about the tragedies happening and the effects on the citizens of this area. My prayers are with his family and Co-workers and all those citizens whose lives he touched. He was instrumental in getting my daughters rapist caught and behind bars, and I will always be grateful for this. He will be greatly missed. Cynthia Strader

Weather
Chris Justice is the best and most knowledgeable meteorologist to come along in a long time. I put him right up there with Brad Panovich on nbc 36 in Charlotte. They explain the weather so anyone can understand. I always enjoy Brad and Chris as they give us a heads up on what to expect in the weeks ahead. We are lucky to have these two in our area.

Love the app
I love the app! If there was one thing I would change it would be pictures that are posted the articles cannot be tapped and made larger. When things like looking for a suspect it would be nice to get a closer look. Again, love the app it makes me feel connected to what is happening around our town.
