DealerSocketSales used to be half decent. You could scan a customers ID into DealerSocketSales and it would auto load in the details. Somehow, DealerSocketSales regressed and this feature was taken away. Next, whenever you want to scan in a VIN from a car the entire app bugs out and if it doesn’t crash, you get a glitch that makes the screen turn sideways and be only half visible. As someone who actually has to run their job through DealerSocketSales , it’s extremely frustrating to have it glitching out constantly, lose its few nice features, and even when it works well it’s slow. As a company raking in all this money from dealerships and others who use the CRM, you’d think they’d be more customer focused. I have already told my management we should not renew a contract with this company and I would not recommend this CRM to any dealership. You need something reliable, not something that crashes when you try to do the most simple tasks.

Tons of bugs since the last update. If DealerSocket can’t keep up, maybe they should give up. My app keeps getting stuck in a processing loop and locking up, in addition to not logging phone calls randomly for some reason, and if you ever navigate away from DealerSocketSales to multitask (or just lock your screen) it basically restarts itself back from the home screen and you have to find your place again. Also, I can no longer scan an ID in landscape format, because DealerSocketSales won’t go into landscape format at all. How is it possible to expect professionals to use something so terrible? I’m sure my employers pay a LOT of money for access to this garbage, as I’m sure do many other dealerships; all I can say is that I’m glad it’s not my money. I would spend it with another CRM software developer that can actually do the job correctly.

I have had the iPad Pro with the folio keyboard for over a year now. DealerSocketSales does not allow me to type ANYTHING with the folio keyboard, it only will allow typing in portrait mode with the on-screen keyboard.

For a company that is supposed to be working toward mobility for everyone on this platform I still cannot do what I need to do on the mobile app.

Answering emails I cannot CC to anybody in the mobile app. I cannot fill out credit applications in the mobile app. I cannot print from the mobile app. The socket talk portion on the mobile app only supports 140 characters, not like the main application. After you type your limited amount of characters it takes at least three or four up-arrow touches to get it to post to sockettalk if you can get it to do it at all.

This review is being written March 22nd, 2019. I’ve used Dealersocket for about a year. The SMS feature is invaluable to me. 75% of my customers prefer to communicate by text. Which is why it’s so disheartening that many of my texts and my customers texts have not been “getting through” in the system. Over the past few months it’s slowly been getting worse. For example, a customer texted me information for his deal to go through. When he arrived, I hadn’t gotten 3 texts that from him that changed the deal completely. (He showed me his phone with the proof.) I’m hoping they update their software soon. (These glitches seem to be more frequent since my organization decided to switch to blackbird instead of using classic.)

I have dealt with many CRM applications and this mobile app I got to say it is the worse one. After a couple of calls it resets on you, freezes up, unexpected logouts, not to mention navigating through DealerSocketSales as well is like pulling teeth. They tried giving training on the DealerSocket program and did not even mention DealerSocketSales because they know that DealerSocketSales is garbage. They put a great deal amount of work and updates in the computer program but the mobile app they pretty much say what the hell and don’t update or improve anything. Your better off not downloading DealerSocketSales. I can give one star only because I can not give a negative five stars. Thank you for your time.

DealerSocketSales has come a long way and the upcoming developments they’ve promised are really exciting! I can’t wait to be able to text pictures and videos from within DealerSocketSales .

One of my favorite features of DealerSocketSales is pretty simple: sales people can click the phone number to make calls and it auto completes the task in DealerSocket. The DL scanner and VIN scanner are huge too. Notifications make it really easy to see what needs to be see when it needs to be seen. When the sales staff is out clearing snow for the 35th time in the winter, the ability to see urgent tasks from the lot is huge.

I also love that it has almost eliminated the window watchers. As more and more customers are engaging online and via text, DealerSocketSales makes it super easy to engage how the customer wants to work with us.

I appreciate all the updates for DealerSocketSales. Sales people can do everything needed on the phone to make a sale, including being able to push the deal over to the DMS. All people are constantly on the mobile phone anyway so why not use it to make money as well? DealerSocketSales allows that to happen. Sales people can separate themselves from their competitors by sending personalized videos and pictures directly from DealerSocketSales . Also, some of the customers actually give wrong phone numbers but with SocketTalk we can verify their phone number right on the spot by sending them the opt in message. Drivers License scanner takes less than 5 seconds to upload the customer’s info so it makes it real easy and convenient. Adding a trade is a piece of cake. We can complete all tasks and create new tasks, look at all the customers as well as the inventory just from DealerSocketSales so the reps don’t have to wait around for a computer to open up. We can also print forms directly from DealerSocketSales .
It’s so much easier to sell now vs the old days. Love DealerSocketSales and the sales people love it as well once they’ve been trained on all the features. If you don’t know how to use it, get trained on it. It will help you sell more a lot easier and quicker.

I am a HUGE fan of the DealerSocket mobile app. I know some people think it’s just for sales people, but it’s a whole lot more. Yes, your sales staff can securely scan a license and log a new customer in 10 seconds, and yes they can see and follow up with any deals they are working, and they can also send personalized videos to customers as well as texts that are all stored in the history, but it’s also a great way for managers to get a high level view of what’s going on. The Sales Dashboard section literally gives you every piece of information you need from all new internet leads to appointments for that day and emails that have been sent by the sales people. You can even drill down into that information to get as granular as you want to and find opportunities to teach your sales people how to be more effective and really manage them in a better way. Honestly it’s the best CRM app out there by far. I don’t know why some people low ball it with the ratings. It’s just like any other technology in any industry, it may give you a glitch or two but, overall I’m very satisfied with it and I’d recommend it to any manager.

Not even sure if bees have knees but if they do DealerSocketSales would be them! I don’t even have to use a desktop anymore because everything is at my fingertips, license scanner, trade scanner, tap to call you name it it’s all on DealerSocketSales . Usually app is short for appetizer but this is the full 4 course meal with a couple extra deserts in between. If you aren’t using the mobile app you are missing out especially following up with customers when you aren’t at your desk. We all know sales is a 24/7 gig and this allows you to still binge watch Netflix while getting phone calls and emails done sitting in your Pj’s all day on your one day off for the month. DealerSocketSales can speed up your sales process faster than a Democrat’s heart rate listening to a Trump speech.

DealerSocketSales is an absolute must if you want to be a successful, customer oriented salesmen. You can take all your customers, appointments, calls, to-do’s, notifications, etc. right with you if you’re not in front of a computer all day. As with all tech, there are a few glitches as you can see with other reviews, but DealerSocket is always quick to document and fix. A few of my favorite features include:

1. You can call, email, and complete all your to-do’s from anywhere.
2. The drivers license scanner. You can enter a new customer seamlessly in under a minute.
3. Printing customer forms right from your cell or tablet!
4. Attaching and emailing live videos and pictures to customer.
5. Immediate notifications of new leads, reassigned leads, emails received, etc.

Basically DealerSocketSales makes you a car sales ninja, don’t leave home or the dealership without it.

DealerSocketSales works well for most dealerships and their processes. I can understand that a store might have a particular process that DealerSocketSales might not support, but overall it does 90% of what I need. I like that I can make calls from DealerSocketSales and have it verified in my work notes and daily call log. Makes it very easy to know exactly when I called the customer. In today’s car buying experience it is great to have my CRM with me all the time. It allows me to be more responsive to customers.

I’ve used DealerSocket at a few stores over the 20 years I’ve been in the automotive industry. From sales to service DealerSocket has it nailed. Also, this new version of the mobile app is amazing. I remember years ago it being function but not impressive. I’ve since been able to be back on DS’s software for another store that has the mobile app and the new version of DealerSocketSales is amazing. Well done DealerSocket for hearing your users and updating your tools. Thanks!

I have been using DealerSocketSales since it was released a few years ago and can tell you first hand it has come a way. A recent release provided increased speed for the basics of adding a customer and sales opportunity. I love the workflows and ease of use. DealerSocketSales is very user friendly and super handy for on the go and quick use - sometimes I even wonder why anyone would use the desktop version of DealerSocketSales ! THANKS DS!

DealerSocketSales is simply incredible, and I wouldn’t be able to work without it. My dealership is smaller and doesn’t have enough computers for all the sales reps so being to do EVERYTHING on DealerSocketSales is a life saver. I can complete my to dos, send emails, call my customers directly from DealerSocketSales (and have the calls track and record), start a new deal, scan their license and anything else I need to do. I highly recommend DealerSocketSales for anyone that works at a dealership. DealerSocketSales IS A MUST HAVE.

Over the last year DealerSocket has greatly improved the performance and stability of their app. I've been using DealerSocket for almost 3 years now and with the recent updates everything that I used to do on the desktop is now easily accessible through the mobile app! Great job on the improvements so far and I look forward to seeing what more will be added in 2019!
