I really like the envelope style of budgets with this. I have used it for years and it worked great for me. Then within the last week, an automatic update changed everything for the worse. Suddenly, it added extra stuff on the screen that made the font smaller for the budgets - so the things I want to see are harder to see. Second, when I go to add a transaction, the budget name automatically fills in the transaction name. So I have to backspace to delete that before I can enter where I’m actually making the purchase. Third, when I go to fill in the amount, I now have to manually add a decimal point. It used to be automatic. Fourth, I loved the dark mode because it was easy on the eyes, but now they’ve added white or light sections to the screen that bug my eyes. They’ve also added hideous yellow, orange, and green colors. It reminds me of my parents’ couch from the 70s.

This used to be the best, simple budgeting app. Now it’s clunky and harder to use, takes longer to create each transaction, and is just aesthetically unappealing and harder on the eyes. I paid for the full version back when it was a one-time payment, but now they want $10/year for the Pro version, and there are constant pop up ads for that. Unfortunately, they’ve removed all the features I liked about it and just made it more annoying, so I especially don’t want to pay a monthly fee for it. I wish they’d revert it to the old app’s look, feel, and features. It used to be so great.

Some of the new changes are for the better, but a few are not improvements. Having to delete the auto filled transaction name and fill in your own is frustrating. Adding the decimal to each transaction instead of it automatically adding it in when you insert numbers is a downgrade from the last version. I understand the reason behind making BestBudgetPro subscription based but it would be nice to have a one time purchase option. Other than that I like the simplicity of BestBudgetPro and the monthly/quarterly breakdown of my spending.

I wish Apple would show us how much an app currently costs. (Financially-speaking.) because nothing with Best Budget has apparently changed in the past 2 years or so. As long as you’re paying no more than $1.99 then I totally recommend Best Budget. Great search functionality. One qualm I had in the past doesn’t even come to mind- so I must have found a decent workaround.

This is a useful app except for one problem. You can’t go back and edit a previous cycle. So it really only has the purpose of tracking current cycle spending. It can’t be used to accurately record all spending to have a sense of true spending.

Great app so far all it needs is customizable rollover.. say like if I only want to rollover up to $25 in a budget and possibly a running tally of the money I didn’t spend so I can transfer it to savings !!

I bought BestBudgetPro when my favorite app stopped working on my old phone. At first, it wasn't quite what I was looking for. You know how it is, when you have a favorite of something and you have to replace it, the second one doesn't quite measure up. Well, after using BestBudgetPro for a little over a month it turns out this was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I can put in my income, bills, budget items and it gives me a running total on everything. It's all right there! No flipping around BestBudgetPro to find things. It's so simple.

I have been using BestBudgetPro for four or five years now to track my expenses, and for me it's just about perfect. I didn’t want an app that connected to my bank or credit card, just a way to track my spending by category. There are some features I’d like to see work differently (for example, it would be great for the reports to include how much you spent by category by month in dollar totals, not just percents, as well as how much you were over or under budget in a category for a selected time range). But it does the basic functions I want it to do very well, and I can export a CSV when I want to analyze further. I recommend it! [updated 2021]

BestBudgetPro has all the basic features of any regular budget app. Buuuut.....I LOVE the new photo feature!! Thank you thank you thank you for adding this feature!!! I like to have copies of my receipts, but without the paper! Comes in handy in case I need to do a quick return or exchange, or if I simply want to track expenses. The best part is that I don't need to clog my photo album with random pictures of receipts. Please note, I am using the pro version. The basic version was fine but I had WAY too many transactions to be limited to the few allowed in the basic version. It was not only practical for what I needed, but wise. Tracking expenses is important to know where your money is going. I can honestly now say this this is THE best budget app EVER!

Amazing app I’ve used for years. BestBudgetPro really helped me and my wife’s finances. Additional features I would like to see is being able to transfer one expenses into another budget in case it was placed into the wrong budget. Another feature would be a way to use Siri or voice to add an expense. Thanks for everything.

Over the years I have used a bunch of different budget apps. This is the one that I have been able to stick with (yay!). It is both simple enough to use for me (without me getting frustrated)and yet complex enough to do the things I need to do the things I need it to do FINALLY! Success!!

I love how straightforward and easy to use Best Budget is. I use it for all our monthly spending, and have done for years. It’s also really useful at the end of the year for working out expenses totals. Love the simplicity, I just wanted a reliable way to track spending. Never had a problem with it, and you can back up to iCloud or Dropbox. Love the new update (October 2022)! I especially like the simplified backup options at the top of Settings. It might be a good idea to put these at the top of the main page to remind you to back up. Update: I've been using Best Budget for about 10 years at least, and it's a fantastic tool for staying on top of your monthly budget. Simple to use and very reliable. It also provides very useful charts of categorized annual spending for your accountant.

Being able to track my spending and watch the amount of money I’m able to save each month because of BestBudgetPro is super easy.

I appreciate that I am able to set up as many budget categories as I need, and that I can add more whenever I choose! BestBudgetPro has helped me stay on track with my money. Thank you so much!

I’ve been using BestBudgetPro for about 2 years and absolutely love it. Previously I was always transferring from my savings to cover my expenses and realized, that’s not going to work for too long. Now I track my expenses according to income, and even include savings.

I’ve tried multiple different apps and spreadsheets but this is by far the best. Worth the $0.99 for the full app. Reminders are great and I’ve been able to save a ton by staying on track!! Thank you for such a great product!!!

Basically I’ll never use another app. I’ve had it for a few years now. This one is perfect for me and so simple and user friendly! I love how easy it is to personalize. I’ve tried dozens of budget apps. This one exceeds them all.

Easy to use and track my spending. Much less confusing and much less expensive than many other apps on the market.
