I want to cancel my Jdate subscription and the site is not allowing me to do so
I cant get past the main screen ...to log in ...all I get is the banner page..is there a problem with the site today?

We received a telephone call that my partner in life was listed in JDate. He has not been for over 21/2 years. How can this be. His name is Dr. Richard Seigle age 74. He has not subscribed and paid and there he is. Misleading and starting rumors. Rita Seger
i got a like from a member chris wellpo 56. I am 99% certain he is an AI generated fraud. His real name is supposedly Christopher Powell, he's not Jewish, not a member, posted his email address for people to respond to him, and his emails are loaded with generalities. he also emailed me and asked if we could use teams to communicate instead of email. One of my more estute GFs googled him and it turns out there is an actual scam known as the "Christopher Powell gmail scam" which has been used to defraud women for about 8 years. Just an FYI. I have a few emails from him I saved once i caught on to the fact that he is a phony. I was planning on toying with him for a while, but i haven't heard from him in a few days now so i guess he found another fish...

I’ve reached out to support 7 times and unsubscribed each time - they will not delete your data - This company is breaking privacy laws. It’s January 2025 today. In 2001 I created a JDate account. I deleted my data and account several times. Most recently last week. I’ve not been dating over 4 years, and off this platform since 2003. I hear from friends and family here and there that my photos are being used and that I’m marked as “active” on this site. Again, last week I started getting emails from JDATE about dating tips. I responded again stating I’ve deleted my account and data. They’ve emailed me back a long list of personal data requests to confirm my identity to remove me from the platform. I’m married. I warn everyone not to share their data with JDATE - This is a dangerous platform to share data. Don’t risk your photos - you’ll be “active” and online as long as they keep using your photos - for me it’s over 20 years and they’re still doing it. Attention 20 year old girls - I’m in my 40’s and I’m not online - I’m married - but JDATE will show you I’m online and “active” despite the fact I’ve deleted my profile and they’ve confirmed they removed my data. I did not even finish creating an account. It said the photo was under review. I deleted my photo and logged out. Shortly after I received an email saying I have matches with photos of matches! I contacted the company and asked them to check and please delete my profile and account. Instead of simply doing so or at least confirming if my photo is up circulating on their platform or not - I received a somewhat aggressive email from Karol K. saying they have a right to use my personal information! She was going out of her way to sound like an attorney - which only shows how they treat their users. This is unethical to say the least. All she needed to do was to simply make sure my account is deleted. Instead, she unnecessarily made it complicated and is trying to play hard ball with their own user for no reason but to stroke her own ego. Stay far away from this app and these unethical people. She clearly thinks Copyright Infringement doesn’t apply to JDate. No app can use copyrighted photos without consent. If she had bothered to simply delete my account, as she should have, she would have saved JDate this 1* review due to her so called customer service.

This site needs work. It should not strive to be like the swiping apps- people who pay for JDate want something more substantial. I suggest reverting back closer to the older interface and visuals. I think singles are craving something much more than what the apps provide and Jdate is not satisfying that need. The first page that appears is confusing and has too many options. My very smart friends (with PhDs, JDs, etc) all complain that they barely know how to use the site. THIS NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED- the Jewish dating world needs JDate to function optimally! Ultimately- I think JDate needs to stop trying to look like Happn or the other swiping apps and go back to substantive profiles. It should differentiate itself because the apps barely work and a stronger JDate could propose a viable alternative- I also think this change will motivate people to pay for this site since the apps are not satisfying people’s needs for relationships. People would be willing to pay for this, since the apps yield flimsy results. I highly recommend considering reverting back closer to the old model.
