Simply doesnβt work

After reading about this app via Atlas Obscura, I was excited to find out more about some BBQ travels I am planning for this summer. Downloaded the app on my iPad and my Google Pixel. Tried searching Tennessee for barbecue, BBQ and barbecue, and all that happened on both devices was an endless spinning wheel β no search results, no stories, no maps. What could I be doing wrong here?
Great concept, doesn't work

Pretends to load but then crashes and returns to the iphone home screen.

Why will it not load my location (Florida Panhandle) or why does it not list state other than Louisiana?
