MoneyControl Spending Tracker Reviews

I wanted to make suggestions but they are a German company. I have no problems with that but wish they would have a English version of the support website. I was really looking for a simple accounting app that can help balance checking account, other accounts, and track money. Having a budget is secondary, for me personally. Unfortunately this was the best app I could find. If they add the ability to split payments into several categories, and check off when payment cleared the bank I would give 5 stars. As a side note not really important I would like the option to hide accounts on every screen unless you click a box saying include this account. I know they they give opportunity to hide account and it works but not convenient to use. I also understand that this is a budget app so should not complain when I'm using it for something different. I did pay for it. If that helps you decide to get it or not.

Very good and simple to use. I wish you could generate a report/detail for a specific category over specified period of time. After buying the upgrade, my computer reverted back to basic program after 10months. I could see my past entries but they were grayed out and not accessible. I had to buy the upgrade again to access them. My IPAD version never had this issue.
After almost five years, no problems encountered. Simple to use daily.
Also would be nice to be able to delete entries for a specified period of time. Say Jan 1st to Dec 31st during any specified year.

Pros: great interface design. Includes a widget to quickly enter new transactions. Allows for transaction receipt attachment! This is a real differentiator me. Does not attach to your bank accounts. This is a plus for me. Allows for synching with drop box. Alternatively synchs with a web app. I haven't tried yet but I believe this feature will allow for my wife and I to share a budget. Generates reports directly from phone

Cons: receipts don't synch. (they are working on it.) This is the only thing really keeping me from committing.

Bottom line:. Mature interface. Key differentiator - synchronization with web app- not quite complete yet. With this is in complete Id sign up if this goes reasonably subscription based.

I absolutely love MoneyControlSpendingTracker. I have two businesses and my own personal accounts to keep in order. This is the only app I’ve found that lets me do everything I need. I also love that I can sync it with my Mac version of MoneyControlSpendingTracker . I actually found the Mac version first which led me to the iPhone version. I can easily see all accounts at once and put in purchases and income quickly.

The reports make it easy to have a history of my expenses by categories of my choice. Being able to make entries on any device is convenient. The addition of the widget is great. By tapping the three dots at the top right of the overhead screen you can change the shortcut options that show up in the widget.

Absolutely gorgeous UI. Within five minutes of downloading the free version. I upgraded to the full pro version ($4.99). Worth every penny. This expense and income tracker works exactly the way I want it to, and while it may not do everything for everyone, it does everything I need it to. Big thumbs up to the devs. Nice job!

I’ve tried every budget app out there and this one is by far the best! However, I’ve tried multiple times to email them like they say and provide feedback for minor tweaks and can’t ever get a response. Would be great if you could categorize/assign a person account transfers, and a few other minor things. I really don’t know if anyone really monitors MoneyControlSpendingTracker or their suggestion email...

This is the best budget management app I've ever tried and exactly what I needed. I'd appreciate if you could add the option of having two different currencies at the same time, I'm sure that plenty of people have their checking account in local currency but also a savings acc in US dollars.

Love MoneyControlSpendingTracker! Have searched and tried out quite a few budget apps and this is definitely the best by far. The new look has taken a little time to get used to but I like it overall. Keeps it looking modern and up to date. Great app! I will continue to use.

I wanted an app that would keep track of my income and expenses and that’s all. I don’t make invoices and I don’t need the features that the other bookkeeping apps had. This is simple and easy to use. I am a taxi owner/driver and this meets my needs perfectly. Thanks.

I use MoneyControlSpendingTracker for the last 5 years, always working perfectly, and always with improvements in each version, perfect to keep track of all your accounts and expenses.

This has been the best most affordable app to keep track of income and expenses by category, without additional information that clutters it up.

Great app! Easy to use and syncs across multiple devices easily. Would love it if it had a option to mark entries so you can distinguish between cleared and uncleared transactions but even without that, it’s still a 5 Star app!

Great app! Love being able to have an online checkbook. I would like to use the charts more but the pie chart only does percentages. Would love it if I could see the dollar amount on the pie chart. There is a bar graph.. But.. Let's just say it's not my preference.

I couldn’t figure out a way to remove the rollover balance from previous months in the reports. I prefer to see a monthly balance instead

MoneyControlSpendingTracker is helping me with my numbers. It’s easy to use, you can have it on your phone and your Mac, so, using a simple clic you can sync your phone with your Mac and get your number early.

I love the new budget feature so I can track my restaurant spending and other items.

But not cash, or more than one account. I use this all the time for one bank account and expenses, but can't for cash...

It needs to allow for separate entries but does not. For example, if I put $20 in cash as a + into my wallet, it shows it as a plus in total amount on App! I need everything separate.

It's great overall for one account: adding money/paying bills to/from this one account

Edit: I love we can now add different accounts....BUT I DON'T like the fact it is NOT changing amounts in my totals (bank account) when I add or subtract an amount...also it's NOT MATCHING UP With FINAL AMOUNT On BANK STATEMENT From BANK!

Great app but when I enter expenses on the Apple Watch it often doesn’t sync. If they fixed this it would be perfect.

I like the layout not bloated with too much eye candy, easy to use and manage, I would like for their dev team to add some options but that is something I'll tell them through MoneyControlSpendingTracker . I suggest anyone to try out MoneyControlSpendingTracker , see if you like it. The way I used it; typed in all my fixed expenses and went from there, make sure to reset MoneyControlSpendingTracker first, when you install it, it starts out with numbers already present. Every time you buy something put it into categories and use the graph to visualize your spending.
