Crashing App!!

Although the content of the digital version has excellent features, EsquireUK itself crashes every 30 seconds or so. I have to open it up several time while viewing content or attempting to read an article. I’m not sure if I should delete EsquireUK and try again or something else. Your instructions on this matter will be highly appreciated…

Good

But could be better! Request one is to provide full screen view - magazine only, not the red toolbar all the time.

Me Gusta

It's good. I love reading magazines on my iphone. All of these one star ratings are misleading, it's an app that lets you read magazines you pay for on your iphone. Like iTunes for zines.

You get what you pay for - In a good way!

I am astonished by how many people continue to complain that EsquireUK and other magazine apps are not "free." Of course they are; it is the subscription that is not free. Was I disappointed the first time I downloaded an app only to find out the subscription had to be paid for? Sure, but not enough to write a critical review about EsquireUK . This is a standard practice, people! As for the subscription itself, it does what it is supposed to do…present a digital copy of the publication. In this case, it is an "interactive replica" which means exactly that--a replica of the magazine with interactive URL's and search functions, etc. It is NOT a special edition of the publication that is formatted especially for a tablet or handheld. These types of subscription are great, but they cost more because it cost more to *produce* them. Learn about what you are buying and you won't be disappointed. Otherwise, this is a quality publication and well worth the subscription price to have it in a digital format. If they had a specially-formatted version, I'd probably be willing to pay more for it as well.

Thanks for stealing my money Esquire UK!

Purchased one copy of this magazine in which Rihanna appeared last year. I didn't think to check that the issue would be there when I upgraded. I figured, I paid for it, it will be there. Come to find out, it's not. There is no way to restore it either since with the new upgrade you can't restore issues that are more than 12 months old. So basically I rented an issue when I thought I had purchased it. Not happy.

This application is not optimized for iPad much less iPhone

The first thing to note is that EsquireUK is not interactive or has special content or video like GQ. This looks like someone took pictures of the pages of the magazine and are streaming them through. The font is almost impossible to read on an iPad. If you have an iPhone could be even harder.
I thought esquire would be better than this. Dissapointed.

Lost Issues

I never write reviews but I had to on this because it deals with some shady workings. Basically I bought a bunch of issues about a year ago - after updating EsquireUK I no longer have access to those issues. My advice is this - tread lightly if you expect to have continued access to any content you purchase with EsquireUK.

Where is my older magazine?

I bought an issue of Esquire UK (March 2012) with Daniel Radcliffe on the cover several years ago. Now I find out issues older than 12 months are no longer available. Are you kidding me? I paid money for this issue. Let me repeat: I PAID MONEY FOR THIS ISSUE. It should be mine and I should have access to it. This is nothing short of thievery!

Just like the print version

iOS magazine is just like the print version

great

used to just but the magazing but now i can just get it on my iphone. Of course its not free dumba$$

2 thumbs down

I had to flip through a thousand ads before I could view article. Three stars because they had at least one free magazine

By

Not bad

Clued me into Lana del Rey so it paid for itself lol. But it's a decent magazine, though a little expensive for the huge amount of ads in it.

Not an IPad app

This is essentially a magazine pretending to be an IPad interface. The articles, few that they are cannot be read by mortal men, perhaps Gnomes are able to read the infinitely small print. Felt very cheap and not comparable to GQ. Do not recommend!

NOT free is right!

I've tried several of these and you never get a free issue of ANYTHING!! Just a stupid portal for them to sell you a subscription. I honestly might purchase a subscription if I ever got to see what the electronic version is like. Don't waste your time.

Black Screen

The new "enhanced" version does not work on either brand spanking new iPad mini or on iPad3. I downloaded it three times and get nothing but a black screen. The only thing this new version "enhanced" is my frustration.

Can't register

When I go to register with the company who develops EsquireUK it just freezes after putting in my info and eventually exits back to the home screen. Fix this and I'll be happy.

Not downloading correctly and lost issues

Very unhappy. Loses my issues every time I open. Wants to charge me for the latest again. What gives?

By

Broken on 6+

Unable to view on iPhone 6+. No update to fix issue since release of 6+.

Doesn't really work at all

It opens but won't let me buy any issues...

Not Free Do Not Be Fooled

EsquireUK is in the free section, and yet, no content is available unless you purchase a subscription or specific issues. Very misleading. > :(
