No reverse DNS lookup from a Ping Tool?

The two things I attempted to do with this app were not great. Just resolving a host, the app doesn't do anything after I type in the name and hit enter, so I hit the big plus sign, no response. 5 seconds later, it finally responds with the IP, but the app just appears frozen prior to that.
The other thing I wanted to do was a reverse DNS lookup, an extremely common and basic ping feature that one would expect to exist in any Ping tool. Alas, there is not, so you get 1 star. Do better.

Response time tool stops when app goes to background. I need this to track if I can make a whole road trip with constant connection to car sat WiFi and know when it drops out and for how long
Worked great until...

Worked great until switching ISP’s. Not able to ping 12.0.x.x network. Add dns/cname and able to ping cname partially but not IP directly.
