Finally!! Perfect !!

When I first started using FiveGuysBurgersFries I found it incredibly user friendly. BUT what I didn't like was that I could order my food but could not pay for it at my Winter Springs Fl. location.
Just didn't make sense that I could order but when I showed up to pick up my order I had to stand in a line with up to six people in front of me so that I could just pay for a preorder.
Started to go to BURGERFI even though it was out of my way their app allowed me to pay and just walk in to pick up counter n grab n go. Well I shared this with the 5 guys contact us part of their app and was told that 5 guys does allow to pay through app but my location opted out for that service. Well I'm happy to say that now they do !!!
Their app is now perfect and I will never go to BURGERFI again. Thanks for making it more convenient for your customers to pay through app so that we can now just grab n go without standing in line after we've ordered. Outstanding Customer Service!!! Great Bacon Burger Too !!!

Your food will NEVER be ready when you arrive

FiveGuysBurgersFries itself is pretty good, and of course the food at five guys is always awesome. However, they seem to have a policy where they don’t start making your order until you actually arrive, no matter how far in advance you order, despite there being a very specific “your order will be ready at x time” when you order. It doesn’t matter if you get there 20 minutes after that time, you will have to sit around the restaurant and wait just like everyone else at the counter. It’s every location I’ve used, so it’s not like it’s just one location. EVERY competitor and for that matter every takeout app has your food ready so you can just run in and grab it.

In other words, FiveGuysBurgersFries is 100% useless for its intended purpose, and as much as I love five guys, unless I’m planning to eat in the restaurant, I order from wayback or mooyah because I don’t want to sit around waiting for food that I was told would be ready when I got there. I even tried clicking “I’m here” 10 minutes before arriving, and it still wasn’t ready when I got there.

Bad service with curb side

this store offers the service to pick up the order outside. I made the order to pick up on the curbside because I really have difficulty walking, so this is easier for me. When I get to the store, the person who answers the phone tells me that they are very busy that if I can go in and I explain my situation and she told me it's okay. I wait for 30 minutes and call again and they tell me that they are very busy and that they cannot go out to leave the food out again I explain my situation that I cannot walk and they tell me they will send me my food. When I receive my food it is all cold and if I could speak to the manager and the employee tells me that if I want to speak with the manager I have to go inside. this is really unacceptable. I call the store and the female manager tells me that she has 3 calls out and that they are doing what they can. I'm sorry they didn't get to work but I think they would have to remove the services they don't offer so that we can look for another place where they do offer them. The truth is, this experience made my day bad and with the desire to never return

Five Guys Burgers and Fries

This application is an efficient one that gets the job done in a manner of ways. Starting with design FiveGuysBurgersFries is easy to use with only a few sections the user can access in the upper left menu of the home page. There are the store locator, feedback and company information categories. After that there is the start order button on the bottom of the main menu. The order process is structured to be step by step. In the ordering process users will be able to select food from the menu as well as how they want it done and what comes with it. If you a recurring customer or users with an account you can view your favorites or your most recent orders making the process even faster. This is a application designed to mostly take account of your order or order history with the food brand and it does a great job in doing it.

App is good — to a point

FiveGuysBurgersFries is well written, and easy to use. HOWEVER, these two benefits are offset by the in-store experience. The user clearly wants a safe, easy, and user friendly experience — but when you arrive at the restaurant to pick up the order that you placed well in advance of arrival, and paid for well in advance of arrival, you must get in line with all the other customers trying to place their order(s) (including the family of 5 whose kids simply cannot decide what they want), and wait patiently for the just-arrived customer to search their pocket/purse for a credit card to pay for their order.

Why not use GPS Arrival data (see Walmart OnLine pickup order system) to advise the restaurant the prepaid customer has arrived, allowing them to proceed directly to the order pickup area? Jimmy John’s, Zaxby’s, Subway, and other QSR providers don’t make the prepaid customer wait in line behind so many others.

This would benefit not only the customer(s), but also the person taking orders at the register.

👎🏾

I made an app order for my store I always order at and it was sent to the wrong location. It was sent to Southlake and my store is Euless. I live in Euless and was right by the store when I placed the order. I went in to pickup and the manager Abraham who kept calling out name as if I was that person picking up an order for them I told him not I’m here for an app order and my name. He told me that he did not have an order for me and that if it was sent to the wrong location that I had to call that location and cancel or go to their location and pick it up. Abraham told me he was busy and I’m on my own and he could not make the order there because the payment was at another location. I called customer and spoke with Bunby who just canceled the order...no refund no apology nothing no correction. Bunby argued with me because I asked for a supervisor and was told I could not speak with one then place me on hold for 30 mins then released the call. I called back and had the same exact experience with Ammia and even worse with Wasim. That was my VERY LAST time with Five Guys. Had to find food @ 9 o’clock for me and my kid!

The emory road and barnet way location

I love the staff here. They always get my order perfect and their management team has the best attitude I have ever seen in my life. They always make me feel important and have a special happy energetic mood that brightens up my day. I am a regular customer and extremely loyal to the barnet way location located off of emory road near the emory interstate exit.
And to make it even more special to me, I suffer from celiac disease, and I am deathly allergic to even cross contamination. I can not dine out at any sit down restaurants and probably 99% of fast food. Even when I order off their “gluten friendly” menus I still get sick. And I have never had any issues with cross contamination at this location. This means more to me than you can ever know. Dealing with my autoimmune disease is an everyday battle, so its nice to know that the management and team here can be trusted! Million stars from me!

Pretty good, but room for improvement

I love Five Guys burgers! My friend and I order it a lot and have it delivered to our work. FiveGuysBurgersFries works fine and doesn’t seem to be buggy. My big complaint about FiveGuysBurgersFries though is that there doesn’t seem to be any “special requests” section to fill out for an order. Like to include napkins, ketchup and vinegar in the bag. Many times when it has been delivered my DoorDash there are no napkins, ketchup or vinegar and there is no way to add it to a order or or request that it be put in the bag. There also is no option to order grilled jalepenos which is how I like my burger. That option used to be on FiveGuysBurgersFries but it now missing.

If the option for grilled jalepenos returns, and if a “special request” section and or a way to add ketchup and vinegar packets to the order is added to FiveGuysBurgersFries I would give it 5 stars.

Apps works well... most of the time

I personally love the Five Guys App as it works well and it's easy to use, but there are major flaws. Firstly, sometimes the Order Again button works as intended, ordering the previous order again, but sometimes it's disasterously wrong, placing orders that are nowhere near what you ordered last. Secondly, sometimes you can't even see the contents of the items you're ordering because the button to view your order doesn't work, making your order a surprise box. In the end, you have to check each order meticulously to ensure that you're not scammed and that you'll receive what what you payed for.

Missing an important option for fries

I have written to the company through their app several times about a selection for light or no salt for the French fries. There are option for just about everything else on FiveGuysBurgersFries , but that. I constantly have to come in and hurry up and ask them to not salt my fries, in which many times they are already cooked and salted. So, I have to wait for them to make more fries and unfortunately for them, have to take more of their time to do it. They never give me a problem about making my fries but, it’s just the fact that they have to go again through the whole process just to make me some fries. When the easy solution is, just to make a selection in FiveGuysBurgersFries not to salt the fries or minimally salty the fries. Other than that, I love their food and the rest of FiveGuysBurgersFries for me, is great. Thank you for reading and hopefully listening.

App needs dev attention

FiveGuysBurgersFries automatically logs me out every afternoon when I open it order lunch.

The UI feels clunky and I sense a small amount of lag during inputs. It’s also clearly outdated - the big red “FIVE GUYS” that is displayed when I open FiveGuysBurgersFries doesn’t even take up my whole screen. It’s as if the screen was developed for the iPhone 6, before Apple expanded the size of their screen. In addition many UI elements are clearly low resolution and appear blurry.

Finally (and I didn’t take stars off for this but it’s a feature I want) FiveGuysBurgersFries has no rewards. Most days I’ll get alerts from competing companies saying I get a free entree or double points. I’ll often ignore them and still go for Five Guys just because I love their burgers so much, but just as often other companies tip the scale in their favor even if I’m ultimately only getting a 50 cent discount in the end.

Online ordering DOES NOT SKIP THE LINE

I have experienced the online order pick up via the FIVE GUYS app twice now at two different locations. I hate it. In my opinion when I use a online order app to pick up food I EXPECT the food to be ready when I get there. FIVE GUYS cooks all of your food EXCEPT the fries according to when you stated in the online app order. So... you take the time to tell them WHEN you will arrive and they wait until you actually arrive to cook your fries. This may be a plus for some people - not me. After arriving to pick up your prepaid food order you must wait in line to get your drink, if applicable, and to tell them ‘hey I’m here - start cooking my fries’. So I preorder AND I get to wait in line... so what was the point in ordering through FiveGuysBurgersFries again. This is the only food app I am aware of that you can’t skip a line or grab your food and go. If I use an app to pick up food I expect all of it to be ready when I arrive - AND NO WAITING IN LINE. For goodness sake add a on-line pick area or sign. Grrrrr.

App great...execution of actually getting food not great

FiveGuysBurgersFries works great. But (at least my locations) the lack of an on-line order pick-up window makes it useless if you order during a peak time. I stood in line for a good 5-10 minutes at the order line just to let them know I was there and then stood another 20 minutes for them to get food for all the people who had placed orders before I could tell them I was there.

My food was sitting there the entire time. All they had to do was throw in a fry, hand it to me, and I'd be out of the way. Instead I got to watch everyone else be handed fresh food while my order is becoming less fresh as I waited for them to finally get around to giving it to me. I would have been better off ordering on arrival- it would have taken just as long and the food would be fresh.

GF Customers Use with Caution

One of the reasons we eat at Five Guys is we have two kids with Celiac Disease, and they do such a great job of accommodating our food allergy needs. But after ordering burgers, without buns last night, via app, my kids still got glutened. I can only assume it was because there was no way to indicate there was an allergy. They always ask, when ordering in person, so they can take extra care and change their gloves, as cross-contamination is a big factor for Celiacs. Simply adding a comments section or allergy button to click would be an awesome addition to an already great app. We will just order in person until that happens.

Payment function hosed me out of $30

The basic functionality of ordering through FiveGuysBurgersFries is great. Paying is another thing... I tried to use two gift cards but there was still a $4 balance after inputting the cards so I added my credit card to take care of the remaining balance. It lets you believe that this combination will work (because all three entries were shown) until you actually press the button to pay.... it defaults to your credit card... and not the gift cards.... so I paid $30 more than I should have... unless it also zeroed out my gift cards, in which case I spent $60 for two burgers, two shakes and a reg fry.... the gift cards I input no longer show up. Your burgers are awesome but your app is the reason I’ll be reconsidering another visit.

Horrible customer service

First of all I don’t normally provide feedback on apps however I felt compelled to do so with this one. I’ve been using mobile ordering for a considerable amount of time in fact when I first started many restaurants did not offer this service FiveGuysBurgersFries is like half a decade behind most other restaurants no Apple Pay with a interface reminds me of my iPhone 5 the customer service is lousy on my most recent experience they had an issue with completing my order and as a result I did not receive the correct items that we’re on the order it would have been nice if could have reached out to a offer in the form of a refund or similar item substitute very disappointed

Don’t use the app at peak times

The morons that created FiveGuysBurgersFries leave you with a summary page of your order. This page doesn’t show you an in-store order number, or your name. FiveGuysBurgersFries prompts you to go to the pickup counter, but the person at the counter can’t associate the order displayed on FiveGuysBurgersFries with anything in production. Yes, there’s a super long order number, but they can’t (or won’t) do anything with it. They’re also unwilling to look deeper, and it’s hard to even converse with them because of face masks. I turned to FiveGuysBurgersFries in the first place because in person ordering was hit and miss because of face masks. The prices you pay at Five Guys demand much higher service. The food isn’t that good. FiveGuysBurgersFries does little to bridge the gap, especially if they’re busy.

Easy to use but if you have an issue with your order, good luck resolving it!

We ordered a variety of food along with a milkshake for delivery, got out our food and realized we didn’t get our milkshake. By the time we looked outside the driver was gone. FiveGuysBurgersFries gives you all phone numbers to call the store itself with issues. Called the store, they said to contact door dash. Contact door dash, they say they can’t help you because you paid the store directly. The store says they can’t help you because the driver picked up the milkshake. Long story short, probably a great app for pickup, but not for delivery because they use a third party delivery system that seemingly has no accountability involved. I know there are bigger problems in the world than a missing milkshake, but I was really looking forward to bringing all the boys to my yard.

By

It could certainly use some improvements

If delivery is offered, it is third party so if your driver decides they don’t want to do it you’re screwed. The third party service can’t reassign a driver because you didn’t go directly though them (so don’t pretip because you lose it). The restaurant can’t refund your money because they aren’t directly related to FiveGuysBurgersFries . So you have to go drive and get it or forfeit your food and money. Also, I wish there was a way to write in a request like other mobile ordering apps. Ex: crispy fries, gluten free, bag separately... Also, it would be nice if you could save payment information or if the login info actually saved. Overall it does what it needs to do.

Unusable for me

I’ve been going to Five Guys for years and years and have pretty much always ordered the same thing through FiveGuysBurgersFries . However, for some reason they recently decided to remove the extra cheese option. Now I can no longer order my usual through FiveGuysBurgersFries which has made it useless for me. You can still order extra cheese in store so I don’t understand why they would remove it from FiveGuysBurgersFries . Even if they charge extra at least give the option. Aside from that, it would be nice if they added the option to choose to have your fries cooked when you order online so you don’t have to wait for them when you arrive. Kinda defeats the purpose of ordering ahead (though it does still save some time). It would also be nice if you could add a tip right in FiveGuysBurgersFries .

By

Really great BUT ONE MAJOR ISSUE

I love FiveGuysBurgersFries. It’s really easy to use. Ordering is super easy and very customizable. It also found three locations near me. I just wish you could add a credit card without ordering something so you wouldn’t have to in a pinch.

Here is my major issue: It wouldn’t scan my credit card. I held the camera in front of it for plenty of time, making sure all text was legible. It just kept the green bar around the card without filling in the information. It worked fine to put the information in manually, but it took longer of course.

I hope the developers read this review. Know that I am very happy with FiveGuysBurgersFries !

Pretty great

Five Guys is absolutely awesome, and FiveGuysBurgersFries is pretty great — but you know what would make FiveGuysBurgersFries just as awesome as the restaurant itself? Names! I have a big family, and we have different friends and family members who sometimes eat with us and sometimes don’t, and I frequently make use of the “Favorites” listing. I would love it if I could add a person’s name to each entree in my order and in the corresponding Favorites listing, so that a quick glance-and-tally is all it would take to make sure that everyone who is present has been accounted for.

And of course, one additional related feature that would be excellent: editing Favorites in place.

By

Works great but needs a tweak

It would be super awesome if, when I click “all the way” that all of the ingredients that come with that are automatically checked and I can remove the one I don’t want. Another option is creating and easy way to remove an item. I had to google what all the way entails so I could punch in each item EXCEPT tomatoes. Great food though. This one little thing would make it easier to order.

Yikes

I give you credit for creating an app, but yikes... this thing needs work. The Five Guys restaurant may have started in 1986 but there is no reason FiveGuysBurgersFries design needs to be from that time too.

I wouldn’t expect FiveGuysBurgersFries to be at McDonalds, Chipotle, Subway, Jimmy Johns, Firehouse Subs, Shake Shack, White Castle or Taco Bell’s level. Have you put your app design in the hands of web developers? Hire people who know Swift and how to create apps for mobile devices. Use the simulator to preview the design on different devices. Have your office staff check it out on their physical devices using TestFlight. Collect their feedback, iterate, improve, and after 3-6 months I am confident you will have something significantly better!

I look forward to the day when your app is as good as your food! ;-)

Text Unbelievably Small

This review is for Version 3.3 running on an iPhone X iOS 11.4. Why the hell is the text so small now? I'm talking disproportionately and unbelievably small. I can barely read the text. The patch notes only said and I quote "enhancements to the user experience." Ha! Good one. You might've fixed some bugs but you have caused FiveGuysBurgersFries to become severely difficult to read not to mention FiveGuysBurgersFries doesn't even have iPhone X compatibility yet. I mean come on guys, the X has been out since last November and still no support. The only reason I'm not giving FiveGuysBurgersFries one star is that the ordering process is very fast and works without a hitch. Just fix the dang UI please.

Great app, but unacceptable to have to wait for fries.

I like FiveGuysBurgersFries and use it to order for the part of my family that likes the fries here and burgers. However I am usually picking up multiple orders, so it is completely unacceptable that they do not drop the French fries or have an option to request the fries be dropped right away. I’m writing this review in the restaurant as I wait, seeing my cheeseburgers already completed and getting cold and while my food from other restaurant is waiting and also getting cold. I won’t make this a 1-star rating because FiveGuysBurgersFries is easy to use and reliable otherwise. 4+ stars with fry issue fixed and 5 star with PayPal or pay in store option added.

By

Location, location, location

It would be nice if FiveGuysBurgersFries uses your location to find the closest 5guys (say in San Antonio Texas), and you accidentally use a Virgina 5guys (because you saved a favorite there) that it would ask for verification before submitting the order 1,300 miles away. $15 dinner costed $30 for that little mistake.

Or, it would be nice if FiveGuysBurgersFries saved the meals as a favorite but didn't tie it to a location (like 1,300 miles away where you used to live). This way, when you want to order a favorite meal at a location that is not where you normally go then you won't send your order to the wrong location.

Great application if it worked.

After spending several minutes building three custom burgers fries and drinks I was quite excited about how simple everything worked except the check out. We’re placing the order it was rejected several times. Instructed me to call the store. When I called the storeTheir staff informed me oh Yeah we have that problem a lot people just come into the store and place their order. Why would you have a nap or even more importantly why are you working around the problem and not resolving it. So… I spent another five minutes on the phone trying to understand someone who was at going everything OK route was reading from the shopping cart. Next time I’m not sure I miss around with FiveGuysBurgersFries .

By

Loved it since I discovered it.

If you love food period like me, and enjoy a good burger, this is the place. Always fresh and never ever had a problem with anything (burgers can get a little soggy if you leave them in the foil too long but that’s more consumer fault) the fries are also the biggest selling point for me. You go to any other quick burger joint and they give the saddest excuses for fry serving. Not at five guys. You order a regular. And they fill up the cup and the whole dang bag!! Love this place!
