Buggy

Once in a while it works as advertised. But more often than not it just crashes. Usually it crashes right after log in, but sometimes it waits and lets me jump on a screen (making me think I have succeeded) only to crash then. Very poor marks for a supposed professional product! 80% of my troubleshooting is done from my iPhone and my company is making me give up my VNC for this garbage? Not happy!

Works great

I’ve been using Bomgar for years now but never really had a need for BeyondTrustRepConsole . Recently started using it and it works great with no issues for me.

Infrequent updates not keeping with the times

BeyondTrustRepConsole is not updating frequently enough to keep with how the desktop versions work. Support for iPad Pro Keyboard/Trackpad is extremely buggy. Credential injection/vault does not work reliably. BeyondTrustRepConsole is in sore need of updating. Your desktop product is fantastic, but the iOS/iPadOS app appears to be forgotten. This is a crucial tool for our on-call techs.

Great but 1.5 years later it should support iPhone X’s full screen

BeyondTrustRepConsole is helpful, but it’s a little alarming that a year and a half after the iPhone X was released, BeyondTrustRepConsole still does t support it’s screen. Come on bomgar, even my local grocery store has their app updated.......

Way too buggy

Out of 20 attempts it either crashed on login, crashed while trying to connect to a client, or if I did connect I was unable to even see the customer’s desktop. So pretty useless right now. Hopefully they’ll work on it... eventually.

Crashes regularly and constant sign ins

BeyondTrustRepConsole crashes regularly during use.

It also makes you sign back in if you switch to another app at all.

These two things make it very frustrating to use.

Works about 10% of the time

It keeps disconnecting and I can't even see the remote screen most of the time. Don't waste your time on BeyondTrustRepConsole. It will just end up frustrating you.

Worthless

Constantly crashes. Can’t even get connected to a machine. The fact that BeyondTrustRepConsole hasn’t been updated in two years shows how much dedication they have.

BeyondTrustRepConsole immediately crashes after opening. Ridiculous.

Please add mouse/trackpad support

This would be amazing to use if you added support for a mouse and Apple Magic Keyboard trackpad.

Did they even test it?

I was really excited about the mobile app but it needs a lot of work before its even usable. Their implementation of mouse movement is terrible, and the keyboard is tricky until you figure it out. You have to swipe down on the black bar above it. Its also missing groups and comments on pinned clients. Update it please.

Can’t right-click with 2 finger tap with the iPad Pro magic keyboard.

Keyboard

Bomgar IPAD app helps me with fast access to what I need. My typical use is JumpClients and this version works very well with one new exception. I use an external BluTooth keyboard with the IPAD. With the previous version I was able to touch the keyboard symbol in BeyondTrustRepConsole and it would allow my external keyboard to be used without issue. Now, with this version, touching the keyboard symbol shrinks the viewable window in half and brings up an empty space where the keyboard would normally be. However since the IPAD is smart enough to know that I have an external keyboard it has nothing in that space unless I press the keyboard symbol on my external keyboard that then fills the empty space with the on-screen keyboard. Clearly this is a bug. The old version worked great and I'm sure the future version should work as well. I just hope Bomgar see's the bug and fixes it quickly as this version is next to unusable for me now. The only way I can type is using the on-board keyboard with a half height window. Be aware if you use an external keyboard.

Support just got a little more mobile

Inevat technicians have been using the Bomgar solution fmany ears and never looked back. When looking into making our technicians more mobile we saw the iPad as the way to do it. Only problem we had, there wasn't a company with an attractive enough solution to allow us support our wide array of customers remotely.

With the Bomgar iPad Rep console, Bomgar has once again shown us that they are the company to work with moving forward. If you are looking for a SECURE, CONVENIENT, and MANAGED support solution, don't look any further.

As for a the iPad console specifically there are some big benefits but also some functionality challenges.

Transfer and share sessions with other representatives.

No way to to move a pinned client to another queue
Not dos/terminal access
No file transfer
Drag and drop is not currently working for us (Bug)
There are a few issues at times pinning clients (Bug)

All in all this is a great initial release. I look forward to seeing bug fixes and additional functionality added.

Mostly works

My company is using Bomgar for remote support of clients and BeyondTrustRepConsole supports that specific need when I am away from a computer but have my iPad with me. For the most part BeyondTrustRepConsole works quite well. However, there are a few issues with the keyboard interaction. On my external keyboard, I generally have to click the keyboard icon in BeyondTrustRepConsole to activate it. Most, if not all, of the special keys act like the delete key so I cannot tab through fields or use the arrows. I'm still unsure how to use the right mouse button on purpose, I have found it by accident a couple of times, though, so I think there is a way to do it.

Good start for version 1.0

I've been waiting for BeyondTrustRepConsole ever since the iPad was released. It's an invaluable tool for our techs. it makes much easier to get access to our clients computers. It works well for a 1.0 release.

The Good
1. Interface is very intuitive
2. BeyondTrustRepConsole is stable
3. The screen sharing is works well.

The Bad.
1. The keyboard when screen sharing is the worst part of BeyondTrustRepConsole . It lacks the usability of the keyboard of many other screen sharing apps. When activated the keyboard covers half of the screen and you can't move the screen. If you are typing somewhere on the bottom half of the screen you can't see what you are typing. Allowing users to move around the screen when keyboard was would resolve this problem. Add the functionality of the keyboard from VNC viewer and it would resolve this problem.

Features to Add
1. groups and comments are missing from jump clients
2. The ability to run command shell sessions is missing
