My favorite Chinese language software apps are as follows: Hello Chinese, Rosetta Stone, and Nemo.

Hello Chinese is best because: it is free; it is intuitive and lets one start mastering the language BEFORE one has mastered reading the pictographs; it fits nicely on my phone; it involves whole sentences in context and not just isolated vocabulary words on a page. Rosetta Stone is great because it is immersive and visually sumptuous, but it is expensive and does not fit well on my phone. Nemo provides one with random words to memorize, so it’s better than nothing.

Actually, I like using all three apps, as each has its strengths and weaknesses.

I’m a connoisseur of Chinese language programs targeted for foreigners learning Mandarin. MandarinChinese is not bad and it offers Traditional Chinese character support (not always present in Chinese language software.)

Big Issue: where is your Apple Watch App? You previously had it but it disappeared some months ago. You advertised this compatibility when I purchased your app and you still advertise Apple Watch support now. What’s going on? A Chinese language app with Apple Watch support is unique. Claiming such compatibility and not providing it is false advertising.

If your looking for a full formal language course or reference, this isn't it. If you're looking for a fun progressive introduction to rote learning basic phrases, polite noises, and essential words, I haven't seen any better apps than this. It's customizable to your pace and learning style, and - most important to any language learning - it challenges you daily.

Learning Chinese has never been so easy and fun. I'm happy to make the in-app purchase as well to unlock the entire library. I am practicing everyday and just set this in the background on loop. Words are read to me in English first, then read in Chinese after a few seconds so I have time to say the word aloud to see if I am correct:)

Has some very useful features for practicing the words. It allows you to tweaks to how it displays the written language and what speed to say the words to you and when to remind you to learn. It also teaches you the most important words unlike other apps.

This is one of my absolute fav apps for languages, we use Chinese and Spanish. Great content and accurate!, lessons are very well organized, runs well without any glitches! Highly recommended. Keeps updating as iOS updates!! I have lost so much money to apps that will not update and become useless. No matter how much paid

You can choose how many words to learn per day and spend as many days on those words as you need to. You choose how you want to learn them. Great to help you learn essential words and phrases, though it doesn't teach grammar (combine with ChineseSkill and HelloChinese for the grammar aspect).

Love MandarinChinese. It plays while I'm doing other things, I can also change the settings depending on how fast or slow I want the recordings. Excellent in pronunciation so you can really get a feel for the language while not getting overwhelmed.

Amazing app for vocabulary. No annoying adds, easy to understand, awesome learning tools, MandarinChinese saves your stats, and you can choose how many words you’d like to learn each day. 5⭐️

Nemo is, hands down, the #1 app for learning a new language. They can take something as complicated as Mandarin and make it easy to learn. I trust Nemo more than anyone else when it comes to mastering a foreign language.

It is the smartest app the way is organized.
I love it and recommend it to all of you out there who wants to learn Chinese!!

I love MandarinChinese, it's great for increasing vocabulary, especially at times when you just want audio learning, such as when you're driving or cooking.

This is the best Chinese app I have been able to find. I had taken a class on learning Chinese and MandarinChinese went right along with what I was trying to learn! Like I said - great app!!

Love the ability to record, the distinct pronunciation, well, everything. Well worth the full purchase price!

I love the fact that you can record your own voice and compare the the correct pronunciation.

I was disappointed when words ran out. I would have paid to add more vocabulary words.

This is an amazing app that is good for people to use. It is also helpful because it is not inappropriate for kids to use.

Ideal for repetitions, with pinyin and corresponding characters if needed. It is a well-made app, worth the minimal $$ investment. UI is, importantly, very well thought through.

Nemo does it right! I'm learning Mandarin for friends whom speak it as their native language, and they said Nemo teaches it the right way. This is a fun app also.

I think it’s good but goes wya to fast I try to memorize I certain amount of words then it just addes more and more. I lack a good memory so that the only downside so yea it’s 👌🏻 ok

I have about two dozen apps and paid for 4. This is most thought out and helpful. Just one thing, the instructor sounds to struck and loud. Chinese voices are adjustable and perfect! Well done!
