I preferred the previous version of the app that allowed you to download sermons and listen to them later. It allowed me to consume less data. Also, I was able to multitask while listening. I am unable to do anything else on my phone while using the app or it will turn off the sermon. When I return, the sermon starts back from the beginning. Previously, I could download a sermon while on WiFi to listen to when driving. I could listen to the downloaded sermon and use my navigation app simultaneously. I’m unable to do that now.

I really like Elevation church and that they have their sermons online and through this app, but the app itself needs some work. To be notified that you must enable location services to always every single time you use the app is very frustrating! That needs to stop. It would be great if you could listen to the sermon while your screen is off. Like iTunes music. It is a battery drainer to have to leave the screen on for 30 to 45 minutes at a time is battery drainer. As well let’s say you are watching a sermon, close the app and have to go back to work. The location of where you at in the sermon has not been saved in cache. Meaning you have to thumb slide to time you last remembered watching on the timer. These three fixes alone would make the app itself much better. But again I am grateful for this church and their thoughtfulness to put the message online as they do.

This is strictly a review for the app. Elevation Church & Pastor Steven Furtick are beyond 5 stars.

I really liked the old app. I was able to take notes while listening to messages and I had a reading plan started. But now with the new update, I cannot seem to login to my account. It doesn’t accept my email & password, and when I try to reset my password it never sends an email to me to do that. Hoping this gets fixed soon.
