Bots and exploits ruined a good game

There was a time when this game was great, but that era has ended. Do not waste your time with this game. The developers, despite claiming in their TOS that they will prevent bots and exploits from ruining gameplay, have refused to deal with a player on USA21 that has grown so fast that he is using bots and exploits to cheat, making the entire server a fool's errand. So many players have complained to support but nothing has ever come back explaining how a player could grow so quickly under the game rules. In less than a week, the cheater already had a city which completely makes game play un balanced. I welcome the devs to respond to this review, but I won't hold my breath. Avoid this game at all costs and by no means give them a dime of your money for in app purchases.

Game is overrun by botting

I have been a long time player of this game, used to love playing every server before forts were even a thing. That being said this game is no longer enjoyable due to the heavy amount of botting used on every single server. The only way to keep up with the botting is to spend outrageous amounts of money (thousands of usd) and pay to win. For any and all new players I would highly advise to stay and away and not waste your time trying to learn this game building up your castles only to have them overrun by bots. The developers seem to have totally lost control over this game handing out 7 day bans every 3+ months never a permanent ban to repeat offenders. Their support team is too small to care about this game as the devs over extend their company constantly developing new games.

Good strategy game ruined by widespread use of bots

Been playing this game for 8 years now. Devs have made many changes over the years, making it easier to play and introducing new features, so that is positive. On the negative side, games has been overrun by bots. Just Google “Altabot” and you’ll see what I mean. The fact that it’s still running and it’s a paid for service shows you that the developers have not been able to stop jt from impacting the game. The bot helps you build, helps you attack and defend. Same bot users also spend lots of real $$ to buy in-game gold so I guess the devs don’t want to shut off their revenue stream. The devs have banned accounts that uses bots but those mostly are small accounts and the bot users will just use the bots to create more accounts. The main accounts that uses bots, which also spend lots of in-game gold, doesn’t get banned. Lots of users brag on discord about how easy it is to use Altabot to auto-defend your stuff. If you aren’t willing to spend money, and don’t want to bot, then this game is not for you.

Cash COW

You take a great game with experimental features that would promote new tactics to an Ios/android game. With a COW THAT HAS LOADS OF CASH IN IT... It’s a fun and enthralling game, except in order to progress as fast as over half the server playing, you have to be a Persian prince, or Elon musk. This game has great achievement rewards that allow for Play2win users to have a chance, but implementing someone to buy a fortress, which can take weeks of grueling grinding for resources and building of 5 castles to make one fortress seems ridiculous! The implement of free fortresses in itself is not the issue. Free fortresses take quite a bit of silver “ammo” to conquer but someone who has loads of money to give to the dev’s, can buy one. This feature completely ruins the play2win aspect entirely. There is constant demand to spend money with faster production, instant silver exchange, recruitment, recruitment time, etc. etc. There is too much opportunity to spoil a good game, which is why the only people left playing are the hardened veterans which once loved this game. And those Arabian princes that feed the cash cow that Is this game.

Could be better

The game is good. I like it. It is very in depth on what you can do. But that’s a little bit of the problem. The tutorial doesn’t explain the interface well and you kind of have to figure it out for yourself. Chatting between players is something that you really need game developers. It will help noobs and it can make diplomacy actually feel like diplomacy. Overall, four stars because it’s good but needs small bits of improvement.

Edit: Apparently there is a diplomacy, but they need to make these things more accessible.

Good game

I love this game and and am progressing quickly, I have enjoyed playing this game for months and highly recommend it. However, I have three castles and one thing that is very annoying is that in every new castle I have to re research all of the technology I already had. I find this rather annoying because I already paid to have it reaserched in one castle and then I have to pay again. This can also be confusing because it is hard to keep track of what I have reaserched in different castles. If this could be fixed I would give this game 5 stars.

Potential

I am visually impaired, I love the fact that this game works with voice over on Apple products. What I hate is how much it can mess up. I had an account in America to for no good reason lost access, I contacted admin and they never responded. I started over in America to and just the other day lost my account again wants more contact an admin and again no response. Fantastic game very good for the visually impaired but horrible customer service. Overall I would say get it whether you can see or are visually impaired like I am. Great game

Unique but In danger

I’ve played this game a long time over many years. I’ve had a ton of fun as it’s not your typical build and wait game. The opportunity for teamwork and map manipulation through conquering is far ahead of the competition. However, this game is on a slippery slope down into the “pay to win” category. It’s a great game and can still be played easily without real cash, but the chances for victory without investment, are growing ever smaller.

Lords and knights

I’m new to it, just in the build-up phase but it seems fun. My biggest complaint is the lack of info or guidance with the game. I get offered options and I have no idea what it means. The attacking seems complicated (I’ve done very little) and I am very unsure how that goes. There are players who have started wiki pages but you shouldn’t have to go to those. Maybe I’ll find the Rosetta Stone for L&K or it will become obvious after I get crushed a few times.

4 months into it. I’m in a slow world so I also started another player in what should be more fast moving. Looking forward to more combat.

Best game ever if played Right

This is the greatest strategy game on LordsKnights Store of all time. Except if you don’t know how to play it, it can be one of the worst. The community is fantastic so just join an alliance and ask your allies for help and they will give you lots of help.
This game is not pay to win at all, and putting money into the game hardly helps at all. There is lots of strategy and diplomacy involved and the occasional war.
So in conclusion, get this game and join a strong alliance or its training wing, they’ll help you get Going in the game and even give you resources for growth.

I love this game.

My only gripe, I wish i didn’t need gold to do more than two upgrades at once or more than two research items at once. I like to spend a lot of time on the game and things take a long tie to do now that i have things leveled up higher. Also the gold cost is rather high and when you are broke like me gold can get expensive and watching videos for gold is inaccessible with voiceover there is no way to finish the video. It just keeps playing over and over.

Love the Game

Hi, I just wanted to say that I think this game is great! I’m a blind teenager, and I love the accessibility the game offers. The only thing I notice is that the alliance points are not updating. For example, my alliance should have over fifteen thousand points, but it only says fourteen thousand. Whether this is a bug or part of the game, I do not know, but the rest of the game is fun never the less. I love the castles and the units, and the constant events!
Thank you so much for making a game, and furthermore, making a game that is accessible for blind and visually impaired users.

Good in the complex VoiceOver game

I am a voice over player and have played this game off and on for a few years. I had to quit about a year ago because there were so many bugs in VoiceOver mode that it was hard to play. However, I am really enjoying the game right now. I am still running iOS 10.3.3 and this current app version is really stable with it. Very good gameplay and it's a lot of fun. They've done a very very nice job fixing a lot of the Bugs for voice over users.

Enjoying it a lot!

I've only been playing for a few days now, but it really is fun to play. I've found a small group of people to play with, and I'm progressing smoothly in the points system. I've had a few problems so far, but the support team has dealt with them within 30 minutes. The only real issue is that so many new players have joined my server that most the castles around me are protected and can't be fought for another week. But that's not really so much a game issue as just people quitting early.

10 years

I must say, the developers of this game have done a fantastic job over the past few years. They have continued to improve the game and develop it in such a way that it has kept me from getting bored. It's a tough game to really understand in the beginning but there are plenty of players out there who would be more than happy to help teach new players!

Still playing ten years later.

Great Castle builder without all the fluff

This neat game has all the features of a castle builder without all the nonsense. The graphics are pleasantly not overly done. The game mechanics feel smooth and there’s always something to do, even while waiting for building upgrades. It makes a great mmo as alliances grow together and conquer areas of the map in huge wars.

All in all, I give this game a solid 5/5 for its sturdy build and great game mechanics. You just know it’s good when the Germans make something.

Love It

This is the only game like this that I can play. Most of the other games aren’t voiceover compatible so I’m grateful for that. My only suggestion would be to make LordsKnights support landscape mode and bring some of the keyboard commands to the IPad version. Also, it would be great to have the gesture to switch active castles be accessible. This would be much faster than having to go to the menu to do it.

Great and addictive

The game play is really good and the fact that there is a survival touch to it -because you could lose it all given you loose your castle and then have to start over- gives it that commitment I as a gamer find interesting. I’ve been on my game since around 2 years. Definitely recommend for you to give it a true. Human players competitive as well.

Great game but losing community

I have been playing this game for the past 5 years and as much as I love the game, way too many servers are released causing the already small community to shrink even more. Devs need to start advertising (with the tons of cash players already spend) to actually start getting more people to play. No other game is like this one, but unfortunately I don’t think there is much life left in it.

Great game, accessible with voiceover

I really enjoyed playing this game. And I’m very happy that it is accessible with voiceover, since I am a blind user. I’ve only had some minor issues with accessibility when it comes to special events like the recent harvest festival. None of those events were labeled, so that voiceover can read them. Other than that, I’ve had no complaints.
