WDSU Parade Tracker Reviews

I will continue to be annoyed by not having a tracker at the end of the parades downtown. The tracker is great, but if the parade broke down or the tracker has passed, then this whole thing is useless. Buy a few of this GPS Tiles and stick it on the back of the fire trucks instead of using another tracker car. Let’s complain to the competition to see who can provide this feature first 🙄

I’ve used WDSUParadeTracker to track parades for years. It’s understandable that with no Mardi Gras Parades this year that there is nothing to track but in place of tracking parades they have given us and endless supply of pop ups and notifications begging for donations. I get it. People need help but I don’t need a notification 4 times a day to remind me. Deleting WDSUParadeTracker and I’ll find another one next year.

Almost missed my wife riding with Pandora because WDSUParadeTracker had them way behind where they actually were. Luckily I used 4WWL’s app and saw where they were really at which was nowhere near where this worthless app had them. After they passed I got back in the car and checked out of curiosity to see where it had them it still had them way back near causeway when they had already passed cleary.

Would be a 5 star app if, when looking at the Schedules (especially the master list view) if you had the option to filter by location. For example, if I’m uptown I can filter by Uptown parades and see just those parade times, or just Metairie etc.

WDSUParadeTracker doesn't include parades that follow others, like Elks-Orleans and Crescent City on Mardi Gras day. These parades have different routes from Rex, so it would be nice to at least have a map of the route even if you aren't going to track it. Think of the poor tourists who don't know these parades exist, and rely on WDSUParadeTracker to let them know what's going on.

I love WDSUParadeTracker. I was just wondering if we could chose a location like Uptown and only see the uptown parades?

App provides good information but needs to be more accurate with the GPS. Parade tracker vehicle is right in front of me but shows that it’s miles back. Recommend a timestamp so you know how update the information is vice “parade location updated.”

WDSUParadeTracker is a godsend. Living two blocks off parade routes it's great to know when the parades are coming close. I wish it showed the end of the parade so I can know when it's safe to drive back home, but I realize that would mean a whole other parade tracker car to provide. What would also be great for us drivers is if the route showed the line-up route maybe in a different color so we know where we won't be able to get through.

For the people that say the parade schedule doesn't come up - you have to click 'yes' when it asks if you'd like to update the schedule. And it takes about one second to pop up. It's not asking if you'd like to update the whole app - it's just the schedule.

It’s just as important to know where the end is as to know where the beginning is!!!

They cover everything, even Slidell and Houma!!! So easy to use!

I went to check the routes for the parades tonight and it’s not showing anything on the home screen or the schedule. Completely blank. Please fix this ASAP. iOS 13.3.1

Had several parades with locations miles off their actual location. What a waste of time!

The tracker seems to only include large float parades. Why not include all of the parades? Hardly any of the walking parades are on WDSUParadeTracker .

It isn’t working to update the location of Magical Krewe of Mad Hatter, and last week wasn’t keeping up with Little Rascals either. 😕

I love the Parade Tracker

Despite having a tracker at the front of all three uptown parades this afternoon, every parade was reporting their position from the first tracker car. Kinda defeats the purpose.

Opens to ad that must be closed before you can view app. Drives me nuts.

Missing a few parades, and would be awesome if it told you some info about the parade (how many floats, how many riders, celebrities, special throws, etc). Also could use more updates on parade cancellations, postponements, etc.

For the parades I have been to, it has been very accurate. We use it to determine when to leave to go to the route. I now consider this a mist have Mardi Gras App.

When it was working and accurate it was good. I could only use it once and then it would crash when I tried to use it again so I had to restart my phone to load it up again. The timing was a little off for Endymion. We missed Maroon 5 (what I really wanted to see) because it said it was further back than it was. Also, it did not give update routes for rescheduled parades. Both Iris and Tucks were rescheduled due to rain and they turned before they got to us but the tracker showed the normal route. Very displeased with WDSUParadeTracker!

Love WDSUParadeTracker, great info and constantly updates so you know you're getting up-to-date info. Couple of suggestions to make WDSUParadeTracker even better, especially for those of us that live in the area known as the "box":
- when looking at the entire schedule, provide the ability to filter by location
- show where the END of a parade is located
