Non-standard delete method

2022-05-22

Since when in iOS is delete a double tap. Double tap isn’t even a standard iOS gesture. Delete standard is a swipe or long-touch for pop-up menu. And to casually add personal medical images, we have to pay 120 bucks a year? Have you not heard of casual users? Please come up with some reasonable alternatives - that’s highway robbery plain and simple!!!

Apparently get to buy what you bought again

2022-06-23

They seem to have moved to a subscription model so if you bought the features a while back, you get to pay for them all over again.

Can’t open DICOM in app, no support response

2022-07-24

Unfortunately, I wasted money on OsiriXHD, which has not been updated for modern iOS versions or modern iPhones. Most importantly, despite following the included user manual’s instructions step by step, I was unable to ever copy a valid DICOM zip to OsiriXHD and view it.

Importing from Dropbox no working

2022-08-25

Won’t import zip files of DICOM image sets. I got one to work then nothing. Also FWIW if your running ipadOs doesn’t work at all no share sheet support. Would be cool if it did as you can connect USB drives with lots of data and not have to jump through hoops.

Greedy developers

2022-09-26

I recently bought your app paid 30$, after several updates you made it useless. Shame to you and thanks to Horos app team they exist.

Paid for full app now I have to pay for subscription

2022-10-27

Absurd, and OsiriXHD is now worst than free competidora.

Update needed

2022-11-28

I am now unable to manually adjust the window level on scans downloaded. Can this be rectified please?!?!?!

$50 gone, doesn’t work

2022-12-29

previously paid $50 for OsiriXHD, and since a recent update it switched to subscription, doesn’t allow restore purchase, wiped my database, and doesn’t let me add new images. takeaway: don’t trust this company

Paid for app, now it wants Subscription $10/mo

2023-01-30

Paid for OsiriXHD a butch of $$$
Its an ipad app so does not do much...

Now it wants to get $10/mo subscription... such a disappointment.

Is there any way to get my money that i paid for OsiriXHD back?

not worth it

2023-03-03

the new subscription model makes it too expensive for what it offers: a very basic dicom viewer

It works, but less capable than free competitors.

2023-04-01

I bought OsiriXHD based on some stellar reviews posted online... Well, the most I can say is that it works, and is better than some of the abandonware DCIOM competitors or those who rely on you uploading your data to their servers, but it is non-intuitive and very limited in features. More one of those complacent offerings of someone who coasts by based on a reputation.

If you need something way better, runs locally, and and supports all hardware devices, check out IMAIOS DICOM Viewer. Not only is it way more capable, it’s also free.

Some issues, but overall worthwhile

2023-05-03

I like osirix on my mac. This viewing version ap has some user interface issues. The controls are not intuitive. I've used a half dozen different imaging systems in my career and this ap has been the most difficult to master.
Mosy annoying problem is when scrolling through MRI slices the scroll feature can become locked and starts to rapidly cycle through series. Very touchy control bar makes it easy to accidently skip through slices.
That being said it's handy for showing patients things in the exam room and the price is extremely reasonable for what you get.

Glitchy

2023-06-03

Works well until it doesn't. Crashes are common. The viewer interface is tricky to navigate even once you are familiar with it. I would expect something more intuitive in the viewer controls. This should be a priority in future versions.

Crashes unexpectedly

2023-07-05

Great product if you could get it to be more stable it would get 5 stars. Very frustrating to have to relaunch OsiriXHD constantly. It was this unstable on a new iPad dedicated solely to this use and nothing else. They have some serious conflicts to work out. It would also be nice to have a switch/button to toggle off image brightness/contrast. Too easy to have one of two fingers lift up and then it takes forever to reset it. You could also just have a reset button in the corner which would restore image to original settings with one push.

Very Good app but not Great ...Yet

2023-08-05

The Good: OsiriXHD works very well with the Osirix Viewing program on my (2010) Mac Mini. The Query/Retrieve function is quick between the two. Images look very good on the iPad, easy to use.

The Bad: I do get the occasional crash, I can not reproduce it but it can happen very randomly with no rhyme or reason. No certain function seems to cause it, it just happens. Usually 2-3 times / day.

I would very much like the option of completely turning off the contrast control or having it greyed out by default, like the angle controls are.
There are many times I will show someone an x-ray and if I don't remember to disable the contrast right away it will go completely white or black. I usually take a series of 4 x-rays and I have to disable contrast when I switch to the next x-ray or risk it accidentally going full black and having to "play" with the image to get it back to normal.

If there was also a way to hide the controls(top and bottom menu) while in the viewer or enter a "full-screen" mode then OsiriXHD would definitely earn the 5 stars it is trying to receive.

I am using an iPad2 16GB 3G

Good, but urgently need annotations!

2023-09-06

I would really use OsiriXHD seriously if I could see fields like 'series description' and 'comments' in both the database and the image views. Also the image view needs the pulse sequence, exam no, date, TE/TR/FA/IR/rBW/FOV...or as for the Mac version, customizable DICOM fields. On the iPad there is plenty of space for 10-20 optional DICOM fields in the image view w/o cluttering it....please add this so one can know what is what and how the images were acquired.

In the database view, again, please let us select the MR images (in different series) by series desc + comments so that the right series can be selected without random guessing. I find this should be priority over more advanced image processing features, but it would also be nice to be able to lock slice scrolling when viewing two series side by side.

Optimize for iphone x

2023-10-08

If its possible release the new up date for iphone x

A Game Changer!

2023-11-08

Great job on version 3!
Outstanding implementation of the dual viewer with cross reference lines. Now I can actually use OSIRIX to look at Spine MRIs. That is truly a game changer!
The expanded Q&R is exactly what I have been needing.

The only thing I have had difficulty with is quickly scrolling through images one at a time without activating cine mode. When I have a bunch of images in a series to get through and I start tapping, it too easily turns into a double tap which activates cine and then I lose my place. Getting cine to stop isn't so easy, either.
I personally never use cine mode in my daily practice and I would bet many (if not most) people who use OSIRIX HD will rarely (if ever) need cine mode. Hopefully these talented developers will come up with a different method of activating that feature which will not so easily interfere with routine image scrolling.

Other than that, I love the new version and I will be using it a lot!

me

2023-12-10

As someone who is very pro-active in her own healthcare needs I was jubilant when I found this program. I had been searching for years for a way to view my MRI's on my home (macintosh) computer and nothing worked. This not only works on my iPad and iPhone and my computer. FINALLY I could go over my MRI with my neurologist and ask questions while viewing them together.

If you are someone who cares about your own health get copies of ALL tests so you have your own copy (this is just good practice).

Love OsiriXHD :)

Awesome!

I was very excited to see OsiriXHD available. I am a vet student and needed to view radiographs for my Radiology course. I've been able to push radiographs from the school computer (they use Clearcanvas) to my iPad! I'm really pleased that I don't have to bring my laptop to school to use Osirix, I can just continue to bring my iPad. The radiographs look great and the tools work well also. I plan to also use OsiriXHD to show pet owners radiographs once I graduate.

It works, but less capable than free competitors.

Osirix HD is fab

2024-12-17

It works great on the iPad. Have compared it to reading routine MSK mri off my workstation and I think it's right up there. I wish there were ways to directly import .rar (which a lot of people seem to use) instead of just .zip. Occasional crashes are also a bit of a bother. But overall, don't think any others even begin to compare.
