does not find my computer consistently. Have to keep rebooting.

When I select all, new or videos, only the audio portion of the video copies, not the whole video. Any idea what I have to do to fix this problem? I almost deleted all of the videos thinking they were now on my laptop, but just the audio was there. I would've lost the videos.
