TheAugustaChronicleeEdition is terrible and disappointing. Constantly you have to delete TheAugustaChronicleeEdition , reinstall TheAugustaChronicleeEdition because it freezes conscientiously without reason. Many complaints have been made, but no corrections. Please fix this, or give people back their money. This a problem with many subscribers. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, please share with us. Extremely important to be updated with the latest news especially with our current crisis. Thank you.

Pressing on any thumbnail of the newspaper gives you an error message. Help line is foreign and of no help. The “I’m sorry” message also comes up on other choices. The other app doesn’t offer “print edition” or sub categories for news. The owners need to get their act together and offer one app that serves all needs and WORKS!

I love accessing my PAID subscription to the Chronicle on my IPad, but the last 2 updates to TheAugustaChronicleeEdition have made it very frustrating to use. Constant app crashes and pages getting stuck are more the norm than the exception.
Come on AC staff! Fix these problems so that we can enjoy the 20 or so full page ads that get added to each PAID for digital "copy" of your paper.
I will never use your advertisers in the digital edition.

I like to read in page view--or at least I did in the old version. Now the print is not sharp and becomes even more blurry when zoomed in. The page is "jittery" when trying to manipulate the zoom and position making it nearly impossible to zoom in on a section of the page without it resetting the page or turning to another page altogether. Page turning arrows near the bottom are unnecessary as pages can be turned with a swipe like before. The arrows cause inadvertent page turns and interfere with reading near the edge of the page. I just finished reading an article from an archive page that had a link to follow for more articles on the same subject. When I clicked the link it asked me to sign in! I thought I was already signed in as I was using TheAugustaChronicleeEdition ! This is supposed to be an improved app, but the functionality of the old app worked better for me.

Software much better than early years where lock-ups and crashing were common. However, with the latest sale the paper has lost much of its local flavor and reporting. Is now just a low-cost USA Today reprint.

My iPad will no longer download the latest newspaper edition unless I completely turn the iPad off and restart. This is also true of the Sunday edition but at this point, I'm only getting part of the paper after the restart. Numerous additional restarts show other sections in the index but clicking on them gives zero response from the link.

Additionally, I use to be able to highlight a specific page selection (e.g. the crossword) but this option is no longer available.

At this point I'm being generous with a three star rating. If problems persist my subscription cancellation will preclude me from giving a lower rating.

The new Augusta Chronicle app is a big improvement over the previous one. The old app was terrible. I could never get anyone at the Chronicle to provide any help. I hope that some help will be provided for the new app if needed.

I like the print version, but TheAugustaChronicleeEdition is an excellent way to read the paper on my iPad. I’ve never had trouble accessing any edition I want, and enjoy being able to zoom in and/or flip between pages. The new update is even clearer!

This is one of the best newspaper apps I've seen. Works great and shows the paper just as it appears in print. The fellow who said it loads slowly is obviously limited by his own wifi access speed because mine loads very quickly. Love seeing the pictures in color and being able to click on an article and have it display in large type.

I am not an avid newspaper reader. I hate the ink smudges on your fingers, and the size of the pages makes reading awkward, but I love the stories and seeing the ads. TheAugustaChronicleeEdition rocks! It's actual newspaper pages digitalized! And showing latest breaking news on an actual paper... genius! The loading slowly comment is wrong. I think it's fast to load and easy to navigate. Definite 2 thumbs up.

I've used this for a week now on my iPad 2 and really enjoy reading the Chronicle while I'm traveling. It's easy to download, easy to navigate, the resolution is great and the extra features are a real bonus. I like being being able to touch on an article to read it in its entirety without having to find part 2 on another page. I also like the access to extra photos and videos & the ability to see the pages smaller so I can jump easily between sections. It has never crashed on me or given me any problems whatsoever.

Enjoy being able to read local paper wherever I am and on all my devices. For most part app works well. Some aspects aren’t intuitive but that could be because I’m not a “digital native”.
