I read my feed religiously and think extremely highly of the forum in general. I have it on my laptop, iPhone & ipad. SailingBoatingCommunity is pretty poor in my opinion, buggy at times & poor search quality; I much prefer the website fo any real investigation. (I’m a paid member)

When I try to open a forum it crashes. I’ve rebooted no change.

So, I have been using SailingBoatingCommunity for years, but of late, I am having intermittent issues with connecting via both the iPad and the iPhone. One day success, the next day not. Today the IPhone connects but not the iPad. I’ve tried restarting, connecting via cellular vs wifi, re-booting, etc.. I think there’s an issue with authentication. Maybe during this Covid19 crisis there’s to many connections for the server to handle. BTW, selecting app support from SailingBoatingCommunity Store just brings you to the web browser with no specific link to ask for support. Oh, and yes, I have no problems with a web browser logging in so that may mean it’s not an overload. Lastly, I love Cruisers’ Forum, it’s just SailingBoatingCommunity that needs help!

I would give SailingBoatingCommunity 5 stars, but the ads are very intrusive and often weird. I would gladly pay for an ad-free version. As it is, I find it almost unusable and will probably go back to using the browser. Even if they were less frequent or somewhat relevant, I’d probably just deal with it. The ads that come up are very odd, enough that if anyone were to glance over my shoulder and see it on my screen I would be embarrassed. I understand the need for ad revenue, and I would gladly pay for ad-free! Other than that, SailingBoatingCommunity seems solid.

App is great for keeping up with the forum on a day to day basis. In no way can it replace the browser app as many functions are not available, especially managing profiles, multi quoting, managing photos libraries etc. Crashes at least once a session, it appears to be if I create a post and a post is added while I am creating but before I submit. When that happens SailingBoatingCommunity dumps, I log back in and my post is there as is a new one ahead of mine. Annoying minor bug...

This seems to be more smooth than the full version when using the iPhone. It allowed login, search, and direction to and from an external website as it should. The search bar hides a little at the top of the small screen.
Info on this site is very useful and the community is quite helpful with informed members on hand.

If I want to know about the best deals on docking for docking fees--anywhere, it's on SailingBoatingCommunity. If I want to crew a boat, this is a great place to find those opportunities. SailingBoatingCommunity takes out the "learning the hard way" element to sailing life and culture. I would just like to post, and can't seem to make that happen.

I sometimes have to do a forced shut down to unfreeze SailingBoatingCommunity . When it works (most of the time) it works well.

Very happy with SailingBoatingCommunity, it is truly loaded with more information that anyone can read and so much is in-depth. The only issue is not with SailingBoatingCommunity but some of the users. Ask what they think might be a question that everyone should know and they can be pretty rude and condescending. Also if you don't have a lifetime of sailing under your belt and mention that you are planning a transatlantic, or circumvention you will get most folks telling you how ignorant you are because you don't have enough experience. It's actually a bit sad, I think those mean people are just jealous of someone living the life that they want to live. (But can't or won't)

SailingBoatingCommunity works great for me, I've never had a problem with it shutting down on me. I do myself always reading in the forums because of how easy and convenient SailingBoatingCommunity is. When I wake up in the morning before rolling out of bed I am lookin at the new posts in the forum. Overall a great resource.

Just love being able to pick the brains of so many boaters with real experience, rather than just folks who are trying to sell me something. Also, full of entertainment value. How else to find and converse with so many boaters full of so much knowledge and experience ?!

SailingBoatingCommunity itself works flawlessly. Nice messaging and searching, as well as allowing you to go back to where you were last time.

The community and subjects are one of the best in the world. Super people and funny too

Very convenient and works well. I am impressed with the amount of features for a mobile app.
I can do almost everything I want on the site with SailingBoatingCommunity. The site itself is excellent. Cruisers forum is a fantastic source of information.

Like SailingBoatingCommunity better than any other sailing forum app I have tried. Works so well I have only been to this forum on my pc a few times. Forum is full of great people and tons of knowledge. Not to mention this is where I found zeehag. Trust me you will find her.
