But Every couple months PreciousMetalCalculatorPro freezes up
It won’t update

So I also paid for the pro version. 5 days ago, it would not update and now it won't even pull up. Like the server it was on is no longer there. No way to contact anyone and Itunes does not care. Go figure. All of the 3 burka Rd apps are down so either the company went out of business or the servers are down. When the system use to freeze like this the last few years I would delete it and re install. Then it would work for 6 months, the company will not respond to emails no numbers available to call

I have been using PreciousMetalCalculatorPro for a long time. It was a nice simple app to do buying. So out of nowhere they rewrote the whole program. Totally unnecessary to mess with what’s not broken. Time to look at other programs.

I purchased this and despite having an active subscription it has not updated gold prices since December 2019 and it is now August, 2020

The prices on PreciousMetalCalculatorPro are 8 months old. Can’t use it without current pricing. PreciousMetalCalculatorPro is awesome, but someone needs to maintain it.

I’d be interested in buying PreciousMetalCalculatorPro if it’s for sale.

Recent update made PreciousMetalCalculatorPro sluggish and unreliable. Features now prone to crashing. Disappointed.

Gold prices quit loading. No support from maker

Purchased app and now it will not open on my iPad? What’s the problem?

Advertising is ridiculously annoying. I wouldn’t know how PreciousMetalCalculatorPro works. Pops ups EVERYWHERE.

Not loading

This used to be such a great app! Takes multiple times to get PreciousMetalCalculatorPro up, the old version was so much better! I think I’m going to remove it now. I have had PreciousMetalCalculatorPro for over 10 years and I have been waiting since that last update maybe 3 years now for it to improve and nothing has changed. Wasting my money I think it’s time to move on.

Doesn’t work. Waste of money!

I've had PreciousMetalCalculatorPro for like two years and its always been a one time fee to buy app. Never did it say we will charge you later buy making you pay monthly. I'm sure their is something that should be prohibited from selling an app then after a couple years change it to be a price for the things that were already included with my purchase. We all need to send Apple a request for refund. Lets start this ball rolling

I am appalled that this company created a non-subscription app which you could purchase, and then decide to do an update, forcing you into an unwanted subscription. If they wanted to do a subscription-based app, they should've created a totally different app and respected the agreement between their previous customers, who had already purchased their app. Which, I might add, no longer works unless you buy the subscription. There are other options out there, such as Pennyweight, that are great apps. Don't waste your money or time here unless you want to be suckered into an agreement that could very well change to benefit them, not you, the buyer.

Stay away from this program until the developer fixes the problems.
1). The program will not update the prices as they change hourly. unless you delete the program and re-down load it you are working with outdated prices.
2). If you pay the additional $1.99 you will not get the upgrade back when you re-download the program.
This is a major glitch in the program rendering it useless until it is repaired.

Used it for the 30 day trial and it worked very well. So I purchased a year subscription. Once the trial period expired it would not work no matter what I tried. The owner of PreciousMetalCalculatorPro answered my emails at first, but have not answered my last three. So I have paid for a year and it has not worked in two months. I have asked for a refund, but so far no answer. I will try contacting Apple to get my money back. My phone has the latest updates and I am an experienced user that does not have any other apps that do not function properly.

Does everything you need for most precious metals scrap transactions, professionally. Easy to use, great features. No, it's not free, but at least you can see if it works for you before you do buy it. If you don't make the $2 back in your first transaction, you shouldn't be using this ap in the first place.

The latest update is great, Fixed many problems. I am not sure what the other reviewer is on about. I installed the pro version on my ipad, after having it on my iphone and, you are not charged again. You have to complete the in app purchase however it tells you that you will not be billed for it because you already purchased it.

PreciousMetalCalculatorPro is simple, and you get what you pay for. Everyone giving it bad reviews basically ends up making themselves sound like they expect the best precious metal application in the world for a dollar. Not only that, it upsets them that they have to pay it once per year. It calculates all of your possible needs, with percentages above or below spot, based on the users rates. It even works in such a way that it keeps your rates a secret from the person you are buying metals from. It presents the numbers in a flip style screen display. You just set everything you need, the way you need it, and when you want to show the seller what you will be offering for their pieces.

***Review Update***

With the recent update this is once again hands down the best app for buying and selling scrap gold and silver… or really any recyclable metals. I’ve tried many apps designed for this purpose and PreciousMetalCalculatorPro is top of the list. So much so that I’ve never purchased a subscription for any of those other apps in my 15 years of doing this. Unfortunately due to whatever may have been the reason, developer updates stopped and thus daily spot prices stopped refreshing and lacking a means to manually update prices PreciousMetalCalculatorPro became completely useless. Therefore I dropped my subscription about a year ago. But on a whim yesterday I checked App Store and OMG it had been updated! I immediately renewed my subscription!

Honestly this is the only app I’d recommend for precious metal recovery professionals.
