In the real estate market, timing is everything. My wife was finding properties to view and I could never find them in Homes because Homes was not updating the properties in a timely manner.

I liked the layout of Homes as well as most of the functionality. I had to create an account the first time that I logged in which is understandable to save properties I liked. Only problem is, Homes will give me an error and say the account info is correct. I have tried to create an account using the same email but it says that an account already exists. I have gone through and created other accounts with two separate emails after that and receive the same error when logging in. It is hard to use a real estate app when you can’t save any of the properties you like. Fix this and it will be much better.

Edit* Homes is in serious need of updating. Constant issues with loading, “updating”, and crashing. Obviously my first review was positive and if Edina can get these bugs fixed with an update I’d be happy to review again.

Honestly have never had an issue with Homes. My wife and I find it much more informative with tax information and status than Zillow!

I LOVED Homes!

Now, when I try to open it I cannot. I get a message that it is no longer shared and I must buy it. Very annoying but ok.

Except when I go to Homes Store I CANNOT buy it!

When I created my account I n the Edina Realty I was able to 'log in with Facebook' instead of creating a new set of credentials. When I go to sign in on Homes there is no option to log in with Facebook. I am therefore unable to access my existing account from Homes. This is both bizarre and frustrating.

Homes not only could use a UI refresh, but the home searching capabilities are so limited compared to what’s available on the website version.

Houses disappear depending on zoom level. As I zoom in closer on the map, the house I’m trying to find goes away.

Crashes and resets my filters often. That gets frustrating.

I just updated from the last version and am immediately disappointed with the design changes and loss in functionality.
On the summary panel you've eliminated one of my favorite features - the estimated commute time display - I know the function is still available, but without the display on the summary panel it is no where near as effective.
The new layout also prevents me from seeing as much information quickly. Being forced to flip between tabs to try to find all of the information that used to be available all in one panel is frustrating and dysfunctional. Making it work more like your website was not a good choice - it should have been the other way around - your App used to have much better functionality than your site, but no longer ...
And additionally, the layout doesn't scale properly to an iPad mini, so all of the type is cut off on the right side.
The last version had some challenges in loading photos, but I'd rather have that issue and the better design function than this new layout.
I will no longer be recommending Homes to others searching for this app as I used to.

Hi app developers... the thumbnail gallery of this app doesn’t change when you move the map while doing a search. You have to go into search criteria and hit “search this app” to get it to reset.

Quite annoying...

I thought this to be a fair app until it started asking for permission to access the camera. Ah, NO!!!

Needless to say it was deleted.

I always have to go to Zillow to get price history and school rating info. It would be nice if you could either make notes on this app that you personally can come back and see so that you could track what you don’t like about that house. It would be nice to maintain that info in Homes .

Where is the list of my favorites? Where are my saved searches? What are the property values of the houses in the neighborhood? Past sale history? Pictures do not always display correctly.

I like the commute function

Very useful, informative app that has a (mostly) intuitive user experience.

Wish you could add an open house directly from Homes to your calendar (including home address and link to listing in Notes).

Wish it offered more in-depth price/tax history like Zillow.

Otherwise I have always thought Homes is the best for local MN real estate, and it's listing data is always more up-to-date than Zillow for MN listings when it comes to listings moving into Contingent status.
