Wanted to make sure this review was read so i gave it 5 stars! I find that Flashlight does what all the other this app apps do...it lights up and illuminates what I need to see. As far as being the brightest...ummmm....there is no way that Flashlight magically makes the light bulb a brighter stronger light bulb. Every phone has the same standard bulb when manufactured at the factory...smh. So if you really buy into the hype, I have the worlds hardest set of rock hammers cut from the same materials as any other rock hammer. I also have the worlds fastest snails ever raised in captivity.

I’ve had Flashlight installed for several years and it’s never failed me. More than bright enough to find keys you dropped at night or light your way to the door. Great for finding things that find their way under a car seat or furniture...including a skittish new cat, which I couldn’t find for more than a week before remembering this great light. Better than any mini light I’ve used, ever. I do think it’s a battery hog, but that’s easily addressed by remembering to close Flashlight after use.

If you can make an option to pulse this for 10 seconds or greater, and make it an alarm clock, new research out of Standford’s sleep lab shows you can set your circadian clock an hour earlier by pulsing light every 10 seconds an hour before waking up. A dream for Jet Lag!

I have using the Apple built-in but swiping to bring up this app is hit or miss. So I tried two other apps. But they are burdened by extra fancy features such that when I needed a light, I fumbled through features I never need. So frustrating. Flashlight is the real deal. Smartly designed, super handy. Yes the brightest. The slide bar to vary the intensity could be improved by making it longer but this is minor.

Yes I rated 5 stars because Flashlight does what it's supposed to. But I find the concept of this app apps dumb. Let me explain: every iOS device has control center. You access it by swiping up at the bottom of the screen. It lets you go to 3 apps, enable the flash of your device, turn airplane mode, wifi, Bluetooth, do not disturb, lock rotation, night shift (iOS 9.3 and up), enable airplay and airdrop and adjust brightness and volume. TL:DR, swipe up from bottom, tap this app icon, profit.

I have been using Flashlight ever since it first came out from my first iPod Touch to first smart iPhone. It works exactly as intended, lites up what I need & has developed different light settings through time which is very convenient. I am super grateful to developer for keeping Flashlight updated through time. Hope developer can come up with new good apps frequently used as handy tools. Good job, I have only used Flashlight and non other!

This is a great tool, now some people are saying in reviews, "We already have a this app in the control center!" Well yes, you do if you use iOS. However, Flashlight allows flashing lights (Yay also a free seizure test app!) and a brighter this app than what the control center gives. And, a lot more easy to access, and use! Great app, 10/10. And it's free (which I wouldn't get if you had to pay 😐) and incredibly fast download and usage size! Great app! 👌🏻

Downloaded the this app app because as a auto mechanic. Can never have too many flashlights. Unfortunately for me, my father had taken the this app that was working when I needed it. So I figured why not download a this app app so I always have a this app on me.

Works very well for work/everyday use.

Only downside is it can really use up your battery life on the phone.

It's just an on/off button. Ok you can access the this app from swiping up and selecting this app. But have you ever had your phone unable to turn off this app? My well used iPhone with all the latest updates sometimes needs rebooting. If you haven't had time to reboot for a while, let you turn the this app off.

First, it’s free. What’s better than free? Second, it’s a this app ap. Third, it works great. Ding-ding-ding!!! Give this creator a gold star. In the year I’ve had this ap, it’s cut off with no warning two times. Other than than, no glitches. I’ve updated when asked to and it requires only a small amount of memory. Multi levels of briteness as well as strobe lighting.
Kudos. Highly recommend.

I used to love Flashlight — it’s helped me out when I really needed a task light. As a this app on my iPhone, it’s bright and awesome... for a while. Now the ads pop up after some time and these turn off the this app. You have to return to the screen and figure out how to get the this app back on / not cool when you’re in the middle of fixing a leaky pipe stretched out on your back. I have no problem with ads, but leave the light on!

Flashlight has been my go to this app app for years. I love it!

By the way...if you want to give Flashlight a five star rating, be sure to click on the 5th star. This will light up the 5th star and all the stars before it. This is the same for every star above one star. As soon as you touch a star, it automatically submits the survey. I had to learn this the hard way. smh

This was one of my first app downloads when I got my iPhone years ago. It has come in so handy as I live in the country and many times if I have to go out at night to do something I can just grab my phone and run out. Without any street lights it's really dark where I live. Use it a lot to navigate between my car and home.

Go into settings, choose Flashlight, and disable its access to your wireless data. Otherwise, it'll automatically open Flashlight Store for things you never clicked on. Plus, why would a this app need updates or internet connection anyway?

When the iPhone got a built-in this app, some people quit using this app apps, but I have used this one for years because it’s reliable and has a low and hi setting which makes it more useful than the standard this app utility which has one low setting.

In reading their privacy statement I believe Flashlight is more secure than the others. They only collect diagnostic information, not location, contacts, advertising information and more. People need to be aware of what is going on behind the scenes in apps.

Flashlight has lots of shady ads pop up, some that take you straight to a website without even touching the screen. So if you need to use the this app for an extended period, get a different app because this one has a mind of its own. Plus the light will turn off if you have to leave Flashlight to use another one, and when you come back to this one you have to restart in order to turn the light back on. I would not recommend this this app app to anyone.

I’ve had Flashlight for years and haven’t updated it in a long time, yet suddenly it started popping up ads even when I haven’t accidentally touched the ad banner. This is a major annoyance at best, and outright dangerous at worst! I don’t know how it happened, but it is a downright awful decision by the developers and shows immensely poor judgment on their part. If not for it now being so unpredictable and unreliable, I would have said it was a great app.

It is basically just a dimmable this app.
It does have an option to flash but it does not get in the way.
You might ask, why would you want a dimable flash light? When you turn it on to find your way to the bathroom at AM you will remember.

I just had an emergency situation in my home with no lights. I flip open Flashlight so I can go to help my son (who is in complete darkness) only to have Flashlight disable the on switch and demand I give them a review before I can use it. Well here it is: don’t count on Flashlight. It may work great, bright, wonderful or it may leave you stumbling in the dark while it shows you an ad or demands a review.
