Worked well when I first got it. But somewhere along the line I lost my position information and can't pin my location now. Deleted and reloaded. Still no success. Also did an iPod reset but still not working. Thought about buying the Pro version but not until the free version works. Hope they fix it because when it worked it was a favorite of mine. Forget about support because it's all in another language.

Too bad this app can't derive the correct time zone; I'm in NY (and its map's pin is correctly on my block) but it says I'm at UTC -4 (incl. Daylight Savings Time), but it should be UTC -5.
Compared to the other calculations it must do, this one seems trivial, yet it creates a gross error making it unusable.
The ads work great, though, so I gave it two stars.
Oh, I followed the link to support and it brought me to a page (with no contact info) that included the following:

nor on-line sites. In fact, it never accesses the Internet!
So that may explain it. Nice that it doesn't need Internet access, but nicer would be if it were accurate.

Loved Moonrise till I tried to play with the "place" button. Setting location causes Moonrise to crash initially and then periodically thereafter.

The date is set up YYYY-MM-DD & that is disconcerting when you're used to seeing it DD-MM-YYYY

Good basic app. Gives both sun and moon rise and set times. Integrate tides and it will be perfect!

Nice app that does what it says. No problems when using GPS to find location or by manually selecting from map. One thing that's missing though is a "Today" option with the date selection. This is something that should be added so you can quickly return to today when flipping through dates.

Works great. Loads extremely fast and presents info well.
Tow minor recommendations would be to add a "today" button to jump back to today went scrolling through dates. Also would be nice if the main screen list the location selected so you didn't have to jump back and forth from the map screen.
Overall, I'm extremely happy and recommend it.

Excellent views of what the moon phases look like from various places. I had been puzzled about why the moon looked different in Hawaii and about the different sunrise & sunset times in localities. I have recommended it to friends.

Works wonderfully, telling the exact percentage of moonphase and also this app and Moon set. Tells you exactly to the minute when the moon is 100% full or 100% new, as well as the percentages of waxing and waning phases. A wonderful and simple, easy to use app.

At first I thought Moonrise wasn't working. You need to go to your privacy setting at choose location services and turn on Moonrise on. Then you can set your city and the times will appear.
Now that I know how to turn in on properly, it looks like it's going to work well.

I really like Moonrise and I'm sure anybody that wants to know when the sun rises and sets will like it also. There is however a problem in that daylight saving time is not accounted for and the times are an hour off. I'm sure that it will be fixed as soon as this review is read.

Clear, simple display. Shows moon's phases as percentages and descriptions (ex. "Waning crescent, 6%), plus this app, moonset, sunrise, and sunset times, all on one screen.
Easy interface to select another date or another location. Date can be selected with arrow buttons or with YYYY-MM-DD rollers/sliders. Tapping the date display once reverts to today's date.
Turning the phone horizontally into landscape mode automatically shows the date and rise/set times for the next full moon, which is a nice touch. Pretty moon and sun imagery also.
