- Provides detailed sunrise/sunset information for amateur meteorologists
- Gives explanations and notes to help understand the information provided
- Has a compass feature to give the exact location of the sun with a pointer
Not very accurate. Apples own Weather widget says the sunset is 7:49 PM but you claimed it was at 7:56 PM. Several other services such as the weather channel, and the National Weather Service, and the CDC My Healthy Day app all say youβre way off...
Impossible to evaluate, as it's never lasted more than 10 seconds without crashing - freezing, then refusing to re-launch. Also awkward interface problems, like being unable to simply select a date, but having to click one. Day. At. A. Time - extremely annoying when trying to plan future outings - and also being unable to select dates more than a month in advance, apparently. Not sure about this, as I could never get very far before another crash.
Purchase the pro version on your phone and it wonβt upgrade on your iPad π‘
A chart with both would be nice.
Terrific way for all amateur meteorologists to have all the sunrise/sunset details available to the professionals. I use it every day.
Reliable.
TheSun gives lots of info not readily understandable to average person needs explanations notes etc. why is info provided important how can it be used? Azimuth???

I like the fact that I can check any date in the future easily by using the calendar. Simple to use and gives me exactly the information I need.
Great app!

Thatβs very interesting about sun. I love it. Thanks!!! Itβs great!!
I take sunrise pictures. TheSun gives me spot on times. Nice job.
The solar compass works fine on my iPhone 11 Pro but itβs off by 94 degrees on my iPad 7 gen.
Easy to use. All the information in one place.
As a long time amateur astronomer and life long student of John Harrison.
Iβm learning quite a bit using The Sun!
I use this one all the time, it only gets better
Itβs good 2 monitor sun direction for my bonsai plant πͺ΄. What makes it special is the compass to give the exact location of the sun with a pointer. π enjoy it!
It seems to be a nice App, however it will be excellent if you can add The Moon with New Moon Time and Date beside Moon in monthes and days. Also can you make sun position on the available Map View.
Thanks
It's a cool calendar
Love it, works with no issues. I have the moon app by the same company and it rocks too!
Neat little app. You can watch the days get longer heading toward Spring. Not complicated: enjoyable.
